Oh man. They've lost it.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Overall, a pretty good Direct, even if it was mostly ports
- New Warioware is great to see :D Looks like they're doing a "Megamix" sort of thing with it? I'd have preferred a Switch Warioware (imagine the Joy-Con minigame possibilities!) but eh, I'm just glad to see a new Warioware after all these years (and speaking of Wario games, how about a new Wario Land?)
- Bowser's Inside Story... cool, but why that before Partners in Time? Also, it honestly feels a bit unnecessary to remake a DS game (a game that still looks pretty nice, too - love the original trilogy's pixelart) for 3DS when you can play the original on 3DS anyway
- Undertale Switch? Very nice :D
- Kirby Star Allies looks nice and I'm looking forwards to more Kirby :3
- Travis Strikes Again: Looks pretty fun, might check this out
- Splatoon expansion looks great, playing as an Octoling sounds fun and interesting :3
- And Inklings confirmed for Smash! I mean, I pretty much expected them to be in the new Smash but it's great to have a confirmation here. Also this pretty much means Smash Switch is confirmed already... for later this year? Didn't expect it this soon, but that's just even better :3 (Also rhythm heaven characters this time pls, if not as fighters then at least as an assist trophy)

shouldn't his favorite genre be RPG and not point and click thoughI liked this Direct.
Although I won't be picking up much from it.
Probably just Octopath and maybe Aces.
I'll be waiting for review on both first though
Eh, I tried the Octopath demo and thought it was too cutscene heavy. But they mentioned they’ve changed a lot based on fan feedback so I don’t know if that’s still an issue
The real bombshell wasn't Undertale... It was the fact that GameMaker Studio 2 will now support the Nintendo Switch (hence why this port is now possible in the first place)!
That means
...and others can now be ported to the Switch with ease3x They mentioned that they introduced a skip function to the cutscences.
The Japanese Direct also showed, among other things, the first look at Taiko no Tatsujin Switch! (releasing some time summer 2018) I already knew it was coming but great to finally hear more about it :D (also, I called them using Jump Up, Superstar x3)

shouldn't his favorite genre be RPG and not point and click thoughJumping onto the topic of Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido, this guy is already looking to be my favorite character.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.More things I'll buy when I get a Switch, I guess. Luigi's Mansion could be nice.
So that means we're getting something Pokemon related soon?
The only good fanboy, is a redeemed fanboy.Probably in a month or so.
How bout a week? People shouldn't be left wondering why the trailer has been removed for a long time.
The only good fanboy, is a redeemed fanboy. My basic thoughts on the Direct:
- 3DS remakes- Of all these, Luigi's Mansion is the only I think that should have been on Switch. Wario Ware is basically a collection of the games from the GBA and DS, and Bowser's Inside Story is outright a remake of a DS game, so those being on 3DS makes some sense.
- Octopath Traveller- I'm definitely getting this
- Kirby DLC- Glad that it's at least free DLC. I probably will get this game. I do need to play Triple Deluxe and Planet Robobot.
- Dillon- Not interested
- Sushi- Not interested
- Crash Bandicoot- Not sure if I'll get this since I own it on PS 4.
- South Park- Not a South Park fan, so I'm probably skipping
- I need to play Splatoon 2 and ARMS
- Travis Strikes Back- SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!
- Hyrule Warriors and Captain Toad- I'm admittedly wanting the Wii U ports to be done with. I stil need to play the former on my Wii U and I have no interest in the latter.
- Dark Souls amiibo- Most surprising amiibo ever
- Undertale- Not interested. That said, I don't have a hatred for this game that others do.
- Smash Bros.- SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!
Rewatching the announcement for Luigi's Mansion on the 3DS, I hope they tweak the Boolossus fight to make it a little easier (I heard the PAL version did tweak it a bit?). I bet that for a lot of people playing Boss Mode, the Boolossus fight will probably be the one they spend the most time on.
The PAL version completely overhauled the fight, yeah; you ride around on a kart or something. The PAL version also had some other Regional Bonuses, but can't recall them off the top of my head.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?A week is way too soon, may as well have put it into yesterday's direct if that was the case. Also the direct is still on the youtube page, there's just no link on the site.
wheres my eternal darkness remaster
New theme music also a boxOoh, I'd be up for that. I never played the Gamecube version, so it'd be nice to have a version for the 3DS or the Switch.
Though how likely are we going to see a remastered version?
Likely never, much to my sadness, due to issues with Silcon Knights
New theme music also a boxA Pokemon Direct announcement probably won't be until May, because May's a major month for Pokemon announcements. However, a spot already saved for it might mean an announcement will happen at earliest in April.
Goddammit, Schezo... || *insert incredibly thirsty copypasta about Dr. Ratio*The Boolossus fight actually becomes pretty easy once you figure out the trick, even on NTSC.
The biggest problem is that there's a big delay between pressing the L Button and actually spraying ice, during which the Boos escape, but if you hold down R the whole time and then switch to L when appropriate it skips all the startup lag for insta-freeze.
Sir Weston is the real PITA, but since he's not a formal boss I guess he's irrelevant to the boss attack thing.

In slightly related news, since the Direct has come and gone with no Fire Emblem announcements, the Fire Emblem subreddit has been converted to a Kirby subreddit.
