The heck are you talking about?
Less trolling, more topic please.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I was on your side Fighteer...
I guess I was too mean. Let me try again.
Again, its no one in this thread. Its some examples that I've seen around the wiki. To be fair there arent that many. That's great!
I REALLY didnt mean to insult, I was just agreeing with Fighteer that some misuse the trope.
And its true. Im not saying it at anyone in the thread in particular. You guys are right to be upset that other positive and amazing traits are not awknowledged as Badass. Im not so keen on Badasses myself.
Being a Badass is MAJORLY overrated on top of being REALLY vague.

Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.People seem to use it whenever a character does something cool or someone whit anger issue. Anger issue does not equal badass. Eva fans think shinji is a badass because when he gets angry he tears apart a angel? Shinji is a unstable mess. He's a violent misogyny, his anger issue is worst then his fellow roommate anger issue, who he happened to strangle twice in EOE. He even try to kill his own dad alone whit the staff at nerv whit Unit-1. The kid is a psycho who needs help and should not be a Eva pilot.
Badassery and psychopathy are not mutually exclusive.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I tend to view baddassery more like a general attitude than a particular feat. In my book the badass is someone who gets the job done with at least some level of ruthlessness, while remaining generally unfazed by setbacks and attacks of various kinds.
But it can be hard to distinguish from a battle hardened veteran sometimes.

Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.
I would like to make note that not a single lonely soul in this or any other thread is even vaguely close to implying that. The problem is the definition of badass is (and has always been) "a formidable, remarkable person", which often but not always means a combat-related individual. Meaning the re-definition of badass contradicts the definition of the term.
Not to mention it means cerebral-based badasses like a Badass Bureaucrat does not exist under the new definition. This is what is being argued. Not whether the trope badass depends on our liking or not.
