So why the push to walking tanks? Did legged forms react better to EM?

The push to walking tanks was mostly to develop a better all-terrain vehicle. The fact that it worked very well with EM (due to its humanoid nature) was a nice coincidence.

Where is Amber right now anyway? Who is she striking?

Are there designated launch zones for the mechs? If so she is outside of the fighting zone and in one of those when launching, And Amber is going for the Electroma. Currently because very few other options exist.

You misunderstood

This is a "preview". Our characters aren't fighting yet. This is a chance for them to meet their opposition, meaning each other. Amber would be completely outclassed if she fought either of the two fighters right now.

I'll pair you guys off right after this fight ends, which would be after some introductions are made between the player characters.

Also perhaps you should let the other players know it is ready.

A note upon the divergence in timelines.

Our "present" is the "past" of this rp. Real world references can be made, but they are references to the past rather than the present.

The time line diverges somewhere around 2040, which is when the energy crisis fully takes its violent hold on the world.

So we are right on the brink?

Does this mean we will end up fighting a giant mechanical monster made out of nanomachines? SON!!

So I have a lot of questions about the world of Harmonic In Version. Is it a Bread and Circuses type of world where it is crapsack and people watch the HI championships to ignore it? Or is it a World Half Full sort of like Mobile Fighter G Gundam where the world can be fixed. I know you made mention that is closer to a Utopia after a energy crisis. But how close are we talking?

So... how secretly crapsack is the world without spoiling it? I mean there are Hardlight holograms for one thing. Does it have Space Colonies? Is the world overpopulated?

The world's doing fine.

It's basically a utopia, besides the whole "spoiler" thing. The bread and Circus is not to distract from general disarray, but to hide something else.

There's no over population, since a good portion of humanity died in those energy wars.

Ah alright. So how is the space program doing with colonies and such?

We've only gotten to the moon, but terraforming is under way.

As I didn't make this clear enough before: Scion's weapon tethers run close up the side of the mech while it's using the weapon then break free and pull back in only once it lets go.

I'll try and get a post up tonight, but I can't guarantee anything. Schoolwork's taking priority at this point in time.

I'll see if I can find some way to cut this fight a bit short as to keep a steady posting rate.

I'm sure you've all suspected as much, but I'm closing this RP.

It's my fault, basically. The structure I came up with doesn't facilitate simultaneous posting very well, leading to a rather early death.

I'm just starting out in the whole forum rp gming scene, so I'm going to have to account for this in the future (I had another RP, Fist of the Setting Sun, but that I blame on a lack of Hn K fans).

I may reuse this universe at a later date, but that's after I rework it.
