They are still the Synchro dimension, but the Obelisk force from the Fusion dimension have started their invasion.
The Synchro dimension is essentially 5D's but even darker, if you can believe it, because the situation in it is not the result of a science experiment gone wrong, just a corrupt social system that encourages horrible behavior of both the Tops that oppress the commons and the Commons that act no better most of the time.
Watch SymphogearThe Synchro dimension arc has gone on a little long for my taste. It feel like the entirety of season 2 was set there.

Man, I really need to get around to watching Arc-V. It sounds awesome.
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon. It's starts a bit slower then the usual series of,this franchise, but once it gets rolling, it really gets rolling.
I'm betting Season 3 takes place mostly in the fusion dimension.
Watch SymphogearAccording to the Wiki, 2's not as long as 1 yet, so one season per dimension seems like a safe bet.
I think my problem with Season 2 is how most of the episodes were spent on the Friendship Cup, and the episodes before that didn't do much except introduce some characters for the Friendship Cup.
I just blew my friend's mind by revealing that Pegasus is only 24 in Duelist Kingdom.
The Protomen enhanced my life. That surprised me too.
so he's basically the toby fox of card games.
only without the kickstarter because he was already stinkin' rich.

you're huge! that means you have huge guts!I'm in my mid-twenties and haven't even settled on a career yet. Makes me feel inadequate.
Pegasus probably makes a lot of people feel inadequate.
And then of course the Doma saga screws up the timeline by saying Rafael was stranded on an island with his Duel Monster cards for ten years when the Doma saga is supposedly happening very soon after Battle City, which happened shortly after Duelist Kingdom.
Pegasus must have invented Duel Monsters when he was young.
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.Which means he was already researching how to ressurect Cyndia 3 years before she actually died.
Pegasus inventing duel monsters essentially screwed over the world, first with Dark ancient magic from Egypt, then the embodiments of evil light and gentle darkness fighting each other, then being used to create what is essentially a fantastic nuclear reactor that explodes, then allowing Dimenional rifts to occur, creating war between all of them.
Pegasus did not think that through, did he....

Watch Symphogearmaybe duel monsters existed as a far more underground/niche card game beforehand and pegasus simply acquired its IP rights and went hog wild with the inspiration from Egypt, reinventing it entirely into the juggernaut we know today.
that means card game hipsters exist.

you're huge! that means you have huge guts!To be fair, the conflict between the Signers and the Earthbound Immortals would still have happened anyway, it'd just have involved actual dragons and demons instead of card versions. Maybe it was easier for both the Dragons and the Immortals to incarnate into the world via the Shadow Game than by rituals or whatever happened back 5000 years ago? Who knows.
Given the statues in Old Man Roshi's duel lodge, we can assume that DM and GX took place prior to it, but the plot of Zexal might very well have happened anyway, though it runs into the weirdness of the Akashic Records being a card...so the Numbers would have been cards anyway, even without Duel Monsters being around? Then again, the Shadow Game that Vector and Nash played in the distant past bore a lot of similarities to how Shadow Games were played in Egypt, just with a lot more rules...unless that the precise details of that flashack were inaccurate to what actually went down in the same way the Memory World probably was?
I think Duel Monsters just made a lot of magic stuff easier, rather than allowing it period.

I wonder if Pegasus has ever been sued for trading-card-related wrongful death?
Kaiba wasn't sued for his Death-T shenanigans, so why should Pegasus be sued? They can both screw the rules because they have money.
Damn, what is wrong with the law system in the Yu-Gi-Oh! universe?
Wasn't one of the Big Five a lawyer?
The Protomen enhanced my life."Well, for all that mass murder ya did, you're getting life in prison. ...Unless you can beat me in a duel, in which case, I'll personally burn all evidence we have against you."
"So you're telling me that Seto Kaiba spent billions of yen on building a death trap hidden within his amusement park, as well as hiring a chainsaw wielding serial killer, to kill you and all your friends."
"Yes."
"Because he lost a card game."
"Well when you put it like that it just sounds stupid."
you're huge! that means you have huge guts!New DOSD screenshots featuring Kaiba and the missing puzzle piece.

The Protomen enhanced my life. The Arc-V dub is finally airing on US TV in February, on Nicktoons.
The Protomen enhanced my life.
Are the Arc-V guys still in that alternate dimension? Reading summaries, it feels like they've been there for the whole series, it's such a big, still-unresolved plot.
