New season's up. We've got 16 episodes right off the bat.
I enjoy subverted straight man types. What I mean is characters who, at a glance, make you assume they'll be the straight man of the group, but end up being just as bonkers as the rest of the cast. Clover's an example of that.
Yeah, that's what I'm liking about Clover. She could easily be the "STOP HAVING FUN GUYS" female character that is too common, but she's just as loopy as the others.
Can't wait to finish out the season.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).New season huh? I will have to check it out.
The platypus is my spirit animal. So with season 3 of this show now out, what do you all think? Personally I like the show.
Ya, I'm weird like that...It can be amusing most of the time. They really ramped up the political satire this season between the wall, gun control, and jingoism episodes.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Ya I noticed that too, season 3 is both Denser and Wackier with the living bells, animal pirates and zombie, but it also has lots of satire.
Ya, I'm weird like that...I wonder how the show would address Story-breaking character, Clover, who can defeat armies of the Foosa by herself to the point where they avoid attacking out of fear of her, while the kingdom seems helpless against them in the movie and Clover is nowhere to be found. Would she eventually get fed up with the kingdom and leave? Suffer a ghastly fate? Or would the show won't address it/reveal her fate and ignore it?

Swear to me you insignificant maggots! It will certainly be interesting to see what they'll do in the final two seasons. They've actually considered little details from what we saw in the kingdom in the first movie and made some of the background non-lemur extras into full fledged characters.
I'm also interested to see the direction of the show, since according to the showrunner (skip to 1:41:00), they're planning more story-heavy, binge-friendly episodes to follow-up the cliffhanger. They've even compared them Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated in terms of how out-there they get.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Season 5 is set to premiere on May 12, 2017.
Swear to me you insignificant maggots!Fantastic! I was worried that it wasn't gonna get one.
The show was contracted for 78 episodes, like most Netflix/Dreamworks productions. So, there's 26 episodes left, split into two packs of 13.
I do find it weird that they're splitting off the final batch of episodes into an entirely new series, though. Maybe the changes coming to the final episodes are more drastic than they teased.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Season 6 is going to be an entirely different show? That's... interesting. It's not the first time Dreamworks has done something like this, though. The Dragons Cartoons come to mind...

Yeah, but that one was done after the show moved from CN to Netflix and there was enough of a break. Both AHKJ shows are on Netflix and it's basically another season. Either way, it will be interesting to see.

Unlikely Allies? Must be Karl and Crimson.
Yo, what is up, my homies? I am here to drop some knowledge on you fools. They wouldn't surprise me, to be honest.
The one preview screenshot that came out also implied that Mary Ann also joins him.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).So it's actually a different show this season, not next Season.
Still looking forward to it!
Also, Uncle King Julien is going to help King Julien because it's still his Kingdom. He can't have Mountain Lemurs rule his Kingdom!
I'm glad to see that others like this show! It's a really good time I think. Can't wait to see how the next season resolves this mountain lemur plot.
3DS FC: 1719-3694-1541New trailer is up. I'm surprised they're doing a lot of PR for this season.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).So did anyone watch the new season? I thought it was pretty crazy and fun, and I liked how it featured basically every character who had ever appeared before, as if the entire series was just dressing for this thirteen-part epic. I wouldn't be upset if the show ended now because this would be a great ending, but I hope it gets renewed anyway.
3DS FC: 1719-3694-1541It had a 78 episode order, so it has at least one more batch of 13 episodes.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).So I find it amusing how both Samurai Jack and this show have four seasons of episodic episodes followed with fifth episode that has story arc that makes return of almost all minor characters by end of it to help the main character Though I heard Samurai Jack's finale was more rushed feeling
I finally got around to watching this. Overall, I really enjoyed it. They did a great job at weaving a 13-episode arc with some dramatic moments without losing the overall humor and tone of the show. While I suppose it could be watched on its own (with some useful recaps at the beginning of each episode), there's far too many callbacks to the entire series that would be missed. Probably the weirdest, Mystery Inc-like moments came around the revelation regarding Mort and the other Morts in his head, and the entire plot of episode 10.
I know there's another season left, with more standalone episodes, but I wouldn't mind it if they ended it right there either.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).The sixth and final season just came out this weekend!
Here's a couple of articles with the showrunner about it.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).I like the socio-political themes the show likes to have fun with. The last episode was pretty good and had some nice moments, and that ending...

That's good news. I say the show deserved the Emmys it won, given how good all ten episodes have been.
