I'm seeing a lot of uncited "X was called a Disney film once!" on the page that definitely needs cleaning. I'd support needing citations.
Rocks fall, everyone miraculously survives. It's one of these always-a-problem "All X Are Y" trope name patterns, too.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWell, by making citations required, and if we want to change the name as well...
Misatribbuted Creator: a character/business mistakes the creator of a work for a different creator.
Make the pages more similar to Cowboy BeBop at His Computer than YMMV.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanMy primary question in this thread is what goes at the first-level bullet?
- Work misattributed
- The creator whose work is attributed to other creators
- The work claiming "Work B" was made by "Creator C"
On the page All Animation Is Disney, bullets start with any of the three above.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.I see what you mean: almost anything competently produced can be mistaken for a Disney work. Pardon my saying this but: perhaps no examples are necessary. This isn't a Trope Proper, it's a Phenomenon in Media. The body describes it well enough: Disney leads, wannabes imitate, confusion follows among the hoi polloi. Motion to do without examples, as is done with Mary Sue. These things happen; let's make Creators aware of these phenomena, but there's no need to spotlight instances.
Extending clock.

The page itself has become overrun with natter and Thread Mode. I went there to fix a Main.Creator wick to Creator.Creator, but after a few edits I've grown intimidated. The page needs a severe cleaning, and perhaps restriction to citations-only. "People call X a Disney film" is Troper Tales-level generic. Many examples try to justify or laugh at the people making the mistake, which is the main issue I have with the natter on that page.
Do we want the first bullets to be the work that is mislabeled, the Creator whose work is mislabeled, or the work that does the mislabeling? All three have been used.
