This is not really a trope about punches, megaton or otherwise. It is a comedic trope where a girl hits a guy and he flies off into A Twinkle in the Sky- which can be done with anything from a kick to a Hyperspace Mallet, or sometimes a punch.
A megaton punch as most people think of it, however, is a punch with super charged force. Even the cited trope namer is an example of the "supercharged combat punch" trope, not the comedic "girl hits a guy with implausible force and sends him flying" trope.
There is a trope currently in YKTTW which numerous people have suggested would be a much better fit for Megaton Punch- the kicker being that some of them suggested it before realizing that the name is currently used by this trope, and commenting on how bad of a fit that the name is for the current holder. The sponsor summed up the situation pretty well while attempting to support the status quo:
Some people want to take Megaton Punch to TRS and have this renamed... I don't think that's viable as, while it does get misused for this trope[note: meaning the trope in YKTTW] often, it also gets used correctly too much to transplant.
...the irony being that they started the YKTTW because of the rampant misuse of Megaton Punch and lack of an actual "punch with megaton force" trope.
I'd suggest Ballistic Baka or Punch Propelled Pervert as more fitting names, but someone else might be able to think of something better- can't really do worse than Megaton Punch.
