Persona: Darkened Mind - RP Interest and Sign-up Thread

Bringing back a character from a previous Persona RP on another site. Modifications made where needed.

• Name: Clarise (pronounced as Clair-ees) 'Eri' Stone
• Age: 16 (Senior)
• Gender: Female
• Appearance: Standing at a moderate height of five foot six, Clarise has been often described as beautiful. Starting off, she possesses blue hair that’s so dark it can often be mistaken for the color black. Auburn streaks tend to accent her hair, bringing out the unique coloring. More often than not, it can be seen let down, brushing against her back. However, it is also not uncommon to see it cut short and framing her face. Hidden beneath startling blue contacts, Clarise has deep grey/gray eyes that often appear black.
  • Clothingwise, she tends to wear a pair of red hair decs in varying designs. A white dress shirt underneath a red sweater clings slightly to her body, accenting her slim figure. White gloves travel up the length of her arms, making fair skin seem even paler than it already does. A black plaid skirt covers matching kneelength socks. Rounding off her appearance are grey dress shoes.
  • During practice, however, she tends to wear a variation of the uniform. Having switched the navy blue skirt for a frilled skirt in an effort to mimic the style of Zettai Ryouiki, she wears a white hooded shirt with a crimson red ribbon design going diagonally from right to left with the words “Rogers High” written in looping white letter written on it. A soaring eagle can be seen embroidered into the top as well. Completing the outfit is the pair of white sneakers with crimson red trimming as well as the eagle shaped barrettes which replace those of her normal ones.
• Weapon: Tends to use a pair of Tessen, otherwise known as a Japanese War Fan, as a weapon.
• Arcana: II~ The Priestess
• Personality: Clarise is someone that people tend to look up to. Although a bit hesitant to speak her mind/approach new people, she tends to make the best out of most situations. As second in command of the cheerleading squad, she’s fairly popular and known for being a fairly nice person, despite the shy tendency she seems to possess. However, as a competitive person she can also be seen as being fairly cocky during games and often has to have someone knock some sense into her. She a bit too trusting in her knowledge, as well as people in general, often getting into situations she wouldn’t have gotten into had she not let her intellect get to her head.
  • While she finds it nice being a rolemodel to some, she has problems with the way some people treat her. As a senior younger than most, she often feels pressured to be perfect by her teachers or to be who her peers want her to be rather than who she herself wishes to be. Due to her young age, Clarise also fears that although popular, other students may resent her due to her popularity and grade, as such feeling like she has to prove to others that she deserves to be where she is and that she doesn’t she herself as better than them. As such, she often struggles to fit in in spite of her blooming popularity.
  • During battles, Clarise tends to help others. She often provides offence and backup for the others, often being a follower rather than a leader. Whereas most would expect her to lead due to her popularity and her encouraging attitude, she tends to shy away from the responsibility out of fear. When others are rushing in to fight, she tends to go from place to place, seeking out others who may need her help and providing aid. Once things return to normal, however, she tries to assume an air of responsibility, often coming off a slightly arrogant in the process.
• History: Born in England, Clarise was raised to work hard to achieve her goals. From a young age, she possessed as desire to dance, however she wasn’t very good at it. During middle school, however, she tried out for the school dance team. Despite not getting in, the president of the cheerleading team took an interest in her and began to teach her how to cheer. Finding it nice, Clarise took cheering up as a hobby instead. A year ago, she and her family moved to Rogers where, due to what she’d learned in England as well as her penchant for knowledge and reading, she was moved forward two years. Joining the school cheerleading squad, she worked hard and this year was appointed as being second in command of the cheerleading squad.
  • While here, she hopes to find out more about herself as time moves on, owing to the fact that she barely survived her encounter with her Shadow while taking a shortcut home on the way after practice one day. While she does remember the encounter, she doesn't talk about it.

• Name: Konohana Sakuya
• Appearance: Rather than possessing a robotic helmet/head, this version of Konohana Sakuya trades that in for a head full of wavy brown hair pulled into a ponytail and held together with a flower shaped barrette, starting silver eyes, and fair skin instead. Whereas previous incarnations of her had pink featherlike fans attached to her arms, she substitutes them for golden flowerlike fans. Clinging to her body is a cheerleading uniform as well; however the pink areas shown on her other forms have been replaced with a light blue and where she once had what looks like stubs are actual feet this time. Said feet are enclosed within white tennis shoes rimmed in gold.

• Special Attack: Freezing Miracle - Coats enemies in ice that heals her allies when melted. Amount of healing increases as both Clarise and Honohana Sakuya become stonger.

AAAAAAAHHHH so much excite! You know, if I'm actually here in time. BTW, the amount of weaknesses to light/dark is absolutely horrifying me. @Echoing Silence, Naoto actually did have a gun, they handwaved it as due to her having a license [not that that really works either]. Just FYI)

Character Sheet

• Name: George Constantinos
• Age: 17
• Gender: Male
• Appearance: Five foot nine with dark brown, almost black, disheveled hair. Olive complexion, toned yet otherwise thin build. Brown eyes with a hint of green in them. Scar along arm that he tries to cover up with bandannas. Wears black slacks and a dark blue button down with dark red lines running down it.
• Weapon: Spears, probably start with a long, broken off pipe.
• Arcana: X-The Wheel of Fortune
• Personality: George appears to be the poster boy for wasted potential. He's intelligent, manages to balance schoolwork and swimming, and never appears to be wanting of anything. Yet he doesn't seem to care about any of it. He works out just enough to help the team. He gets above average grades so his parents can't yell at him, and so he gets enough money for college. When talked to, he appears distant and uncaring, just as though nothing matters. In reality, that is not the case, and George does quite a few acts of charity in his spare time because he knows no one else would care. He willfully pushes closer contact away simply because he fears that by doing so, he'll hurt them, or worse, as his shadow made him realize, they'll hurt him.
  History: A child of second generation Greek-Americans, George has lived in Rogers for as long as he can remember. His life has been a series of never ending downs, however, with his grandparents being murdered just after his eighth birthday, his mother having to take a second job after his father became chronically ill, and his little brother's death one George's first day of high school.
  • His social life wasn't much better, with the friends he did make often turning their backs on him when they saw his better grades, or his fellow sports players seemingly ostracizing him whenever they won a meet. This led to his apathetic outlook, and might have led to a downward spiral if his father had not called him in for a talk just before his death, when George was 12.
  • After his father's death, George realized he needed to get himself together. His mother, now able to work one job due to life insurance, seemed better, but who knew if she might die soon too? Still apprehensive about getting involved his peers at school, George looked toward the streets of Roger and realized his connection to the poor and homeless there. Fate had not been kind to them either, and Roger knew exactly what they could be going through.
  • In his time at Roger High School, George split his time between work, swimming and his volunteering at the local shelter and soup kitchen. He found himself, unwillingly perhaps, hanging out with Yoshika in his breaks between activities. The guy was in his class, and seemed to be looking out for people so he didn't look harmful-until George had to yank the guy off some senior. After that, Yoshika seemed begrudgingly thankful, though George really wanted to stay away.
  • The suicides started scaring George. He recognized some of the people who died-homeless who had just recently told him that they had gotten help, a father who had finally landed a job for his two kids, even a coworker at the soup kitchen. He'd left work when he found out, shaking in fear. W Hat was going on in this town? And why were they people he'd talked with? That he knew? Was it because of him? Was his old curse coming back? Yoshika had been talking about it ever since that kid in class had died...

Nope, hasn't faced his shadow yet.

Persona

• Name - Meleager
• Appearance: A male humanoid in a loincloth who, upon a closer examination, appears to be made of wood. A thousand-yard stare and annoyed frown rest on his face. A watch-face is engraved into his chest, where the minute hand is a smoking piece of wood. In his left hand is a bow large as the eight foot giant; in his right, a set of arrows shaped like clock hands.
• Stats: Stats are determined by a letter grade system from S(best) to F(worst). I'll evaluate each stat distribution individually, but don't expect to have S's right off the bat.

• Elements: In general, one Resist = one Weak; one Block = two Weak and so on.

  • Skewer (Light Physical damage to one foe);
  • Pulinpa (Confuse 1 foe);
  • Patra (Remove Rage, Fear, and Confusion);
  • Confusion Boost (Boost Confusion chances by 50%)
• Special Attack: Calydonian Hunt: Choose a single target for your party to converge on. While allies gain Sukuja against it, the target itself is hit with sukunda. Lasts longer and adds more effects as they level up.

The ailments were chosen assuming Luck increases the chance of them hitting. Or, you know, luck helps at all.

I made some changes to my character. Could you take a look at them and see if they're still good?

@Tails: Looks good to me. :)

@Eri: Okay, seems she's a little bit too powerful:

• Block generally equals two Weaks. Since she has both a Block and Resist, that would be three Weaks in total. You can make some more weaknesses for her or drop either of the resistances.
• P Arty-wide attacks are generally a bit too powerful to throw around so early. ^_^; If you could choose whether you want Mabufu or Media/Diarama and then reduce the other's power, that would be great.
• I'm a little confused as to the Special. So it freezes enemies and heals allies when said ice is melted? Does the freeze do damage or does it merely stop enemies?

Tentatively accepted, but if you could work on these things mentioned, that would be great. :)

@George: Looks okay, though boy, does that guy had it rough. Just a little confused on Calydonian Hunt's wording. From what I understand, it nullifies enemy's ability to fight or even dodge shots completely while George's allies have it easier to hit the poor guy? I'd say he can still dodge, just to make it a bit more fair. ^_^; Otherwise though he's okay.

Fixed wording, it was basically just sukunda. And Yeah, George has lots of bad stuff in life. So fun making characters like that.

Done and the ice heals by draining some of the enemy's own HP. If that's too OP I can come up with something else though.

Made an slight to stat change (for a definition of slight) if you could make sure it's not too good/suicidal. Oh, and are physical attacks separated into the trio or pierce/blunt/cut, or just under the umbrella term?

Both look alright to me. :)

Also, with so many people already, I'd say we will be closing the signups for now. I suppose we should be also able to start the RP soon-ish as well. :)

We already got Arena-like titles. It's only a matter of time.

Alex won't kill people for attempted assault. Hospitalize them if they push him too far, but not kill. He doesn't need his rep to get any worse.

@Chariot: random thought: Do you think Alex and Eri could be cousins? The share the same surname, similar eye colour, and Alex is half European.

Maybe at one point, the parents of Daniel and Marianne tried to set them up to date. But despite Daniel seeming like a nice boy, she always detected something rather creepy about him. And then she read his Secret Diary, and that was that.
