No, magicians in general.

Inate is specifically for stuff like "Kitsune can shapeshift" or "Dragons can shapeshift" or "Werewolfs can shapeshift".... if you get the idea it can be co-opted for other things, but you will never, EVER, be forced to have it.

I think I might tack it on anyways, though. My question was just a general "if I play pointy-ears mcgee, do I need to have magic?" And that was answered.

Also, for future applications, since Spartty was the first Knifeear, what PM was a thing that umm got passed around forever back.

• Gear: A single dagger, a longbow (modified with a weird little leaf sight system for greater accuracy)
• Skills: Thea is an excellent marksman with a bow to the point where it seems like something else is affecting her ability to shoot. In addition, she is a master tracker. Her knife fighting skills... are a little below par, though. With the exception of "backstabbing people".
• Power: Unbeknownst to Thea, she has a bit of innate magic that significantly endows her archery and tracking skills. While she is still competent without them, having her magic disabled will result in a fair loss of accuracy over distance, and a harder time finding footprints.
• Physical ability: Thea is not exactly on the strong side. That being said, she is quick as a whip and reacts about as fast.
• Quick Traits: Thea is your average "might be magical elf with a proficiency in nailing things from really far away with a bow". While she is somewhat naive and fairly curious (mostly towards concepts she hasn't heard of), taking this to mean she's a ditz, she's bad at fighting, or she learns slowly is a move that will end with you taking a job as a town guardsman.

• Name: Tyr Arnadotter
• Gender: Female
• Race: Half-Dragon.
• Gear: None really, though she keeps a blunt ceremonial dagger on her person at all times.
• Skills: She's skilled at hand-to-hand, and has a bit of knowledge about magic, noting impressive though.
• Power: She controls an iridescent pink flame, that has various uses. It could make a shield a platform, a set of gauntlets to augment her punches, or just as a regular flame.
• Physical Ability: Very strong though, she doesn't have the brute force of most dragons, she makes up for it in speed and agility, she's able to contort her body in seemingly unnatural, very painful looking ways without much problem.
• Quick Traits: Tyr doesn't quite "get" humans, and races like them. Many of their customs confuse her, but she finds them amusing all the same. While she doesn't go out of her way to be unfriendly, she can be rather quiet sometimes, and she's very literal so you'll get exactly what you ask for with her.

Nearest would be we already have a few dragons...is this an issue with the other gms?

• Race: Human
• Gear: Simple clothing, a more formal archivist robe and a nice hefty crossbow with a stock of bolts.
• Skills: Crossbowmanship, basic wilderness survival, reading, sorting techniques and climbing.
• Power: No actual paramundane powers.
• Physical ability: Her notable physical prowess mainly consists of being able to breathe gently, moving quickly, climbing things and being able to carry a crossbow while doing said climbing and moving.
• Quick traits: Ceilana is inspired by the stories of trickster heroes, the brave ones who fought with wit just as much as blades. She strives to be like them... Except she's excitable, overeager to explore and discover new things and occasionally a little too dim to figure out when someone is playing a trick on her instead.
