This was the reason Karin was no go for IV or x Tekken, if I recall.
But doesn't Sakura still mention Karin in some winquotes in the former?
Yes, but that's worth basically nothing. So they likely don't need to pay the author.
Which is a damn shame, because I'd love it if Karin could appear again.
"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!Tuesday.
I guess that Bison isn't changing bodies anymore... he's going grey. Also he's changed his get up.
Raul Julia left us a spectacular legacy didn't he?
Yeah, if that trailer is anything to go by, he finally found a fucking winner.

One Strip! One Strip!Bison's always going on about how his body is deteriorating and he doesn't have long to live, but it seems like the more his body supposedly wears out the stronger he gets.

Is it just me or Bison here takes more after his Alpha incarnation, that he has some projectiles and treats the Psycho Crusher as a super?
Ono said the next character is someone who hasn't been seen for a while.
(prays) Please be Ojou-san, please be Ojou-san...
Well, we know it won't be R. Mika or Karin cause people actually want those two.
I guess it's the triumphant return of Joe. We've all been waiting for him.
One Strip! One Strip!Hmm... This makes me speculate that the roster could end up something similar to the SF side in SF x TK where many people were hoping for multiple SF characters that haven't been seen in a while, but we ultimately only got four with the rest being characters we saw already in the Arcade edition.
In that regard, 4 veterans that we haven't seen in a while (read: characters that weren't in Ultra Street Fighter 4) seems a realistic number to estimate and if that is all we got, I'd be more than fine with that. Combine 4 veterans we haven't seen in a hilw with at least 4 newcomer with the rest being characters we already seen but getting significant changes and you have the recipe for a solid roster that maintains familiarity whilst still feeling fresh enough to be interesting.
Dudley in this game would be great.
If he ends up being re-designed like Adon and Gen was, I wouldn't mind him.

Geki, perhaps?

But jeez so far no one new, huh?
Naturally. Hopefully, a newcomer will be revealed at some point within the next couple of months.
I wonder if Alex has a chance of returning...
Please be Karin or Ingrid, please be Karin or Ingrid...
...or maybe Sean.

"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!I'm sorry, but Ingrid is the one character I'd be glad to never see again. At least when it concerns Street Fighter.
I liked her personality and power level (Read:How OP she is implied to be). I am also against the general idea of not letting minor and crossover characters just dissapear, which is part of her origin from a cancelled game which was later partially salvaged in the widely disliked Capcom Fighting Jam. But I generaly believe anything can be done well, so...
Right now, my biggest request with her is that they explain what they meant with.. well, look at my sig.
"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!That's probably why she'll never show up again. Her entire implementation was like a fanfiction writer's original character strong arming their way into an already established plot with vague explanations and unforeshadowed connections to powerful characters.
It'd be one thing if she were just a powerful bonus boss making claims like that, but as is she's pretty much a Mary sue that comes out of no where.
She existed before in Capcom Fighting Jam, the cancelled Capcom Fighting All Stars and was set to appear in Tatsunoko vs Capcom. (Just because they are crossovers doesn't means they can't be canon or have some relevance to canon) Word of God puts her as the reason for Street Fighter x Tekken, and the Tekken producer mentioned she was one of his favorite SF characters.
I don't know, throwing her away just seems like a waste.
By the way... can someone tell me what is her exact position in this? The YMMV page linked this saying she was one of the most requested characters for S Fx T and I tried looking up on other sites and found out the link is to the results of the S Fx T character poll they made, but my PC isn't reaching the page for some reason.
I do know she ain't in the Top Five though.

"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!RE: Ingrid stealing Psycho Power: Technically, that didn't happen, because if it did, Street Fighter II would never have happened.
It's as impossible as it was every other time I hoped for it, but I'm still saying Skullomania. Keep hope alive.
