What's your favorite thing about cats?
I'm like fish myself. Never had a cat. Lived with them though.

Cancer may not be available in your country.People who are always 'against' things and complaining about stuff are not only boring, but also put other people on the defensive. They're really very unpleasant to be around. I mean, sure, snark is funny but earnest complaining is not.
It's healthier to think of the things you're for, and you'll have more friends if you talk about them.
I'm for trees. Very much pro-tree. And babies. Definitely pro-baby, even though my wife objects to the idea of making sure we always have one in the house. Can't think why...

'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'How about both?
Complaining about things you hate and gushing over things you like. It's possible to do both at the same time.

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Being known solely as "that person who really hates Megan Fox" puts a different feeling in people's minds than "that person who really likes trains"
Warning: This poster is known to the state of California to cause cancer. Cancer may not be available in your country.I think what I like best about cats is their swagger. They are with you because they like you (well, you feed them), but they can do their own thing. Having a partnership with a cat is an earned partnership. I am, sadly, currently catless.
Trees are nice. I grew up in a desert and moved to the east coast. I like living in a place with trees. That, and rivers with actual water in them are awesome. I'm not as much into babies, myself, but they're cute and have that neat new baby smell. And then... they have that... new...baby...smell...
In which I attempt to be a writer.I like trains!
-waits for ASDF Movie reference-
No? Cool.
I rode on the footplate of one, once. It was awesome.
Baby smell is even better than puppy-smell.

'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'I LIKE SHORTS
THEY'RE COMFY AND EASY TO WEAR
I think I'm mostly known for the things I like, like being pro-cat, pro-spider, pro-Homestuck, pro-Pokemon, pro-Medusa... er, yeah.
'Though those who were regulars in the Trash Heap when I posted in there nearly constantly know that I dislike "stragglers", AKA the people who come into the store like 5 minutes til close and expect you to stay late for them, and some might be able to guess that I don't care for the random petting and marshmallow hell hugs that happen in some threads.
But in general I think I'm known more as "the one who likes Vriska" or "the one who likes petrification" than "the one who hates stragglers" or "the one who I shouldn't pet or marshmallow hug"
Stupid doomed timeline...
I got to thinking today, again, about how... if I ever become known in any way, become famous as a writer, an artist, or if I ever do decide to be a loudmouth/loud-keyboard and run a blog on something, I think I'd rather be known for the things I love rather than the things I hate, the things I am for rather than the things I'm against - whatever they may be.
It seems to me that people who are known for "what they are for" give me a more positive and approachable feeling than those who are always in counter to something. A good example might be the feeling I get between a couple of social justice religion bloggers that I read. One guy (though a little arrogant in my opinion), primarily defines himself as being pro-equal rights, while another blogger with similar opinions is constantly ranting about how evil the conservative GOP-machine is. Maybe there is a need for the second blogger to speak his mind, but he seems a lot... meaner... and less approachable than the other (also, more full of himself).
And I've seen celebrities known for their hate of something come on some show to gush about the things they liked and the seemed like totally different (and much friendlier) people.
And, a much as I like say, Anthony Bourdain's food-snark, I probably wouldn't watch him if it was all negativitiy and I didn't get to see him experiencing copious foodgasms or in praise of the cultures he visits. He's against bad food, but he's very much for GOOD food!
I hope that I can, in whatever endeavors I do, carry myself as a person who loves peace, equality, nature, the various fandoms I write fan fiction for, games, characters, interesting plots, speculation and cats!
And if I define myself, in part, as something like "against suicide," it's only because I'm "pro-life" (in the non-abortion politics way).
I'd like to become known as a gusher rather than a hater. I think the world, at large, likes the gushers more, too.
