What the fuck is this holiday mode? The game came to a draw and I received play of the game...for literally doing nothing at the very start of the match. I sprayed the wall as we all left spawn. I covered the opposite side of the map and never saw the enemy.
You sprayed that wall with the style and grace of a champion.
Well, you have to keep in mind the psychological aspects of warfare. Sure, spraying that wall might not have directly killed any enemies, but the morale benefits provided to your teammates when they saw your spray? The way it inspired them, put their heads in the game, gave them the determination to keep fighting? It might've been a draw in the end, but that spray's probably single-handedly what stopped it being a curbstomp loss. Be proud.
Here hoping we get a Reflections like comic today.
Because lore has a 5% pickrate while Esports has 80% one. Clearly Blizzard is biased and won't nerf Esports.
I just really want some lore
Uni catLore is a lie. A tiny thing—barely a morsel, devised to keep people stuck in their infernal eSports machine. Unfortunately, the Rein short used up all the lore budget they had allotted for the next nine years.
FE: Genealogy Story Run 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Expert Unicorn Overlord 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiBut DAMN is that 10 year anniversary 3 minute Torbjorn short going to be worth the wait!
I just killed all six enemy Meis in the snowbrawl, two of them after I was the last one standing on my team. My heart is pounding.
In the yeti hunter mode, being in premades still means one of you can end up as the yeti. Found that one the hard way.
Chibi Mei stop being adorable please.
That almost makes it look like Calvin and Hobbes.
I smell magic in the air. Or maybe barbecue.Well, this is going to be the first season in which I've completely skipped competitive play. Not even a placement match.
I'm still waiting for the next PvE mode. Uprising and Junkenstein's were the best things to ever happen to Overwatch.
Don't stop, just proceed, 'cause this is what you need-proceed, just proceed, 'cause this is what you need!Same. In season six, I did 3 placement matches. Toxicity in every one of them made me stop playing competitive for good. It's simply not worth it.
Member when this game had lore?
Because everyday it becomes much more slower.
Uni catYou mean last month?

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. We have to remember that we got a lot of lore this year. Last year, Talon was 3 edgy jerks. Now we know it's structure, it's leaders, the organizations it's tied to, why several members joined...
Plus we finally got progress on Zarya's story.
Call me nitpicky, but introducing new characters is cool but not enough. I will say that at least with Moira's introduction we learned a lot about OW, Talon and even Oasis as an organization.
Uni catI know I seem to be in the minority on this, but I just enjoy the game. I do not much care for the shorts, comics or other forms of lore, so I'm content if the dev team focuses on new characters, maps, skins and game modes.
Lore content should also really be in the game proper, like with Uprising. Whatever sparse comics and shorts show up are cool and all, but to have external elements as the primary delivery of the what little story there is, feels pretty sketchy.

Maybe putting the released content under a new tag (something like Other Media) in the actual game would help. Only problem is that this will zoom out of the game when clicked into.

I honestly find it mystifying why Blizzard seems to think that telling a game's story outside of the actual game is a good idea in the first place
Probably because the game is cheaper and easier to produce as it is. If the game can prosper without a sprawling, plot-driven campaign mode, why bother?
That does make a certain amount of sense, but with a world and characters that have had a lot of effort put into them, it seems like a bit of a waste to not put that on display. It doesn't have to be a incredibly complex campaign or anything, maybe just a few single player missions missions for each character that details some events in their backstory. As it stands, it just feels like the game has a story, but it just doesn't seem interested in sharing it with you.
The thing i hate the most is that they set up something that might be super important later on but never answer something super concrete.
Like, when was the last time we had a super big reveal? Sombra's name?

I mean, you technically can, it just involves getting into spawn, swapping off of Symmetra, and then swapping back.
