There are certain movies, games, TV shows, etc. that seem to get both these tropes into one. Seeing that they're opposite of each other, which trope overrides the other? How can an installment contain two opposite tropes such as these two?

I am not seeing why they ought to be mutually exclusive. "First work in a series is best known" and "the first works in a series have odditudes compared to later ones" are not exclusive at all.

Yeah but they're opposites of each other though to certain extent. First Installment Wins is the first installment in a series that everybody knows more about and Early Installment Weirdness is when people feel the first installment is so out of place compared to later installments.

A hypothetical off the top of my head: First installment is good and popular. Second installment introduces several new aspects that far fewer people like. Installments three through seventeen follow the path of number two, rather than number one. Thus, part one is the best known of the series, but also significantly different from its sequels.

That's how a series can be both at once.

I didn't write any of that.

You are correct there, but even so I don't see how an entry could have both at the same time when everybody mostly knows the first one and don't really know or care about any of the installments afterwards, which would kinda make it Later Installment Weirdness I'm assuming. I'm just trying to figure this out that's all. I guess you can say only the most hardcore fans of the series will notice the early installment weirdness right?

Laconic definitions of them:

First Installment Wins: The first installment of a series is the most well-known or considered the best.

Early Installment Weirdness: The early episodes of a series are vastly different than the later installments.

So they're practically opposites of each other. Early Installment Weirdness is more related to Sequel Displacement since that would mean the later installments are more well known than the early installments since the early installments seem out of place compared to what the series is known for.

Note that what makes the first installment "win" can range from critical acclaim to greater public awareness, and the early "weirdness" can range from the lack of certain characteristics to having a lot of quirky elements that didn't continue on. There is no direct connection between the quirks of the early installment and what the franchise is best known for. In many cases they are synonymous, the oddities of the first installment make it better known. Saying they are opposites is like saying The Archer and Heroes Prefer Swords are opposites.

Sorry for being so late.

If they're not opposites then why do they contrast each other on their respective main pages?
