Dungeon of the Endless

It appears there is no thread for Dungeon of the Endless yet. Awesome game. I've completed the game once on the "Too Easy" difficulty, but I'm still not sure if I'm playing optimally.

I personally spam food on the early floors and then spam industry.

In addition, how do people approach the crystal extraction to the exit? I usually just light up the path to it and build defenses in any rooms that have a dark room leading to it.

I would have started one myself but this came out at the same time as Endless Legend, so I just kept my Dungeon talk there.

The Full Release hit and changed up the balance. I won the old version once or twice, but it reset after the Release. I haven't won yet. What do you think of the stories the characters engage in on the elevators?

I like them, but I wish they were a bit more substantial. The game's still being developed and I've only seen 2 so far though.

I see the beginning of a few of those stories...the only one so far that I got anything in is between Ken and Opbot tho...and not too far since I dismiss Opbot to try to recruit Sara...when I didn't even fully unlock Opbot yet. Derp.

But yeah, dumped like 85 hours in Early Access...won once on too easy after the game's released (and unlocked like 8 characters in the process)...

Yeah, the four starting characters are two matched pairs. Nurse Ratchet and the Warden, and Sara and Gork. Those two stories are easy to start, obviously. If you unlock the armory pod, do NOT put Gork and Sara in the same party with that thing. Just a headsup from what I read on the Steam forum.

So Sara is one of the starter hero? I forgot...why the hell did I ditch Opbot for her???

I got the convos between Golgy and Skroig and Rakya and Elise.

Sara and Gork kill each other in the elevator. Doesn't get much more substantial than that.

Checking from wiki, several characters have special dialog if they are in elevator together

Also, holy crap, there is secret hero you can only use with random selection

Most of them don't get that substantial is what I'm saying.

Well it does give some interesting backstory of characters anyway...

There are quiet lot of them it seems, its just that it isn't apparent until you have tried a lot of combos <_< Especially since some of combos include three people, maybe even four people but I haven't seen four people convo

Also, funnily enough, Opbot is recurring/cameo character in the series :P Hes even mentioned in Endless Legends in quest apparently

^ Opbot's less mentioned and more of the narrator of the Vaulter side...or: you play as Opbot when you're playing Vaulters.

Played this game. Found it really fun and interesting, combining Turn-Based Strategy, Real-Time Strategy, Roguelike and Tower Defence into one awesome game.

Certain module strategies can be pretty OP. Like Selblasters + 2 Neurostun IVs, will soften up everything but those module-killing Silic Zoners.

Seblasters, + level 4 science creators = death to all.
