@Mr L So you're saying that showing the attacker to be a child would make the illustration better, since it would clearly show the child killing their mother and father? I think I can see where that's going...but showing that the killer is a child doesn't necessarily illustrate that the ones being killed are their parents. Isn't that the complaint against 11? My point is, it's going to be hard to show familial ties whether the killer is a child or not.
(Sorry if I come off as aggressive or defensive. It's hard to show emotion in posts)
Edit: OK, even I'm confused by my own argument. I just think 11 is fine, and that people can make the inference.

A child attacker would at least imply a familial relationship, which is better than nothing. If you're just out and about in public and you see a little kid with a man or woman, you'd assume them to be parent and child, wouldn't you? Obviously, you wouldn't know it for certain—the adult could be an aunt/uncle or a family friend—but it would be a reasonable and perfectly natural assumption to make. But if you just see two adults out in public, one older than the other, you can't be nearly as certain about the nature of their relationship.
Such is the problem with the image in 11; it would be entirely reliant on the name of the page to tell you that they're related, essentially making it Just A Face And A Caption in that regard (though it would at least be demonstrating the "killer" part of the trope). To take an example from that page of what not to do, if we were to put a picture of Sonic the Hedgehog standing still on the Super-Speed page, I'm sure the readers could infer from the title of the article that Sonic possesses Super-Speed, but the image would still be utterly failing to demonstrate it.

I suppose that using a child could make for a more obvious demonstration. But I don't think it's that much different, TBH.
At least everyone can agree that the suggestion would be better than the current, right?
The current image should go, regardless of whether or not we agree to use 11 as a replacement.
We should probably have a crowner to decide this.
Clock is set.

Definite improvement over the current, for conciseness if nothing else.
Aye, texty but I can make an allowance.

I don't think it's better than 11. We see the killing in 11.
The clock is way overdue on this one, and I'm not seeing enough consensus on anything to take action. Locking up; no action is to be taken based on this thread.
I couldn't tell those were his parents either. I think it is open to misinterpretation.
