I'm not sure why it matters what the reasons behind the fights and fires are. She's a troublemaker. Causing trouble like that is what she does. As for making peace with the enemy she doesn't have a plan. She just fights them when she needs to.

It's a Santa because Santa is a friendly figure and she was raised around humans so of course she'd take on aspects of their culture.

Its always nice to know more about the characters. Besides that, Oni-Lord, you could give her VIAM a gyroscopic cockpit and a 360 degree screen for showing the world outside. In addition, the screen could be designed so it'll mark how many entities are involved in the battle.

Guess I'm just waiting for Hourai Rabbit to make an application now.

Just letting anyone who isn't already aware know;

RP's started, yo. If you've got a character, hop to it when ready.

Heeey, edited my bio. Again. I think I'm finally done. I was gonna upgrade into a unit that fought like a fencer but I figured I'd rather have it now than wait for an upgrade that usually never comes.

Seems perfectly fine by me, but why did you go through three different Mecha designs? Either way, I'm patiently waiting for everyone to post.

Because picking just the one is hard for me. Also, I was planning on upgrading to basically this one on my previous version of the bio (which I still would've rewritten somewhat to avoid overlap) but I decided that since R Ps rarely last long enough to get to an upgrade, I might as well go with it from the start. No offense, it's just what my experiences have been like.

EDIT: I realize I made my faction basically completely closed for any other players by making Gabriel's mech the only one they made, but if anyone wants a character to be part of the group I can edit my bio for it no problem.

Well an Artificial Life-form will be heading your way.

Pilot Application

Name:Marketing Entrepreneurial Liaison Information Specialist Service Android (AKA ‘Melissa’) *Specifically M.E.L.I.S.S.A–E135X61304*

Race: Artificial Life-form - Gynoid.

Faction: Tezuka Corporation, the Tezuka Corporation (current CEO is Hiro Tezuka) is a respected robotics company that primarily deals with creating frames, armors, and actuators/motors for Mechas. Side projects of the company include furthering the sphere of space travel, in the hopes of establishing colonies, such as mining colonies for planetary resources, under-water drilling operations for natural resources, and hosting a Robot Fighting Tournament to draw more attention to their line of products. The Research and Development Department has a high interest in reverse engineering alien technology, and rebuilding it in a more efficient manner.

Inventory:

-An up-to-date Piloting License.

-Tezuka Corporate Business Cards, (usually 100) that are contained in a wallet alongside a credit card, and an auxiliary cord (for a Melissa Unit) inside a stylish purse.

-An internal communication device functioning as a GPS and Cell-phone.

Abilities/Skills/Powers: Enhanced Stamina/Dexterity/Strength: As an android, one of the more useful things about them are typically they are designed to have better than average abilities than the standard human. The Melissa Unit is rather dexterous, such as being able to smoke a cigarette with her feet, has an enhanced stamina to continue entertaining guests without needing for rest/powering down. And enhanced strength helps to defend Tezuka Corp employees in case something goes wrong during negotiations.

Retinal Recording Devices: Melissa can record data and store it on her inner hard-drive, by using her eyes as cameras.

Melissa-E135X61304 is an effective boxer, who has primary practice with the Swarmer-style of boxing, (which is devoted to applying constant pressure to an opponent, and having a good mobility to weave and bob away from attacks directed to them. They do not do as many strong strikes as a ‘Slugger’ would do, but focus on quick and constant strikes) Melissa can easily access the Internet with her own body.

Appearance: Melissa-E135X61304 is a slender individual with an hour-glass figure. (As many Melissa Units are designed to have) Her chest size is a mid-range, neither flat nor incredibly large. The synthetic ‘flesh-like’ alloy that covers her form is soft to the touch, and is fairly pale. Her artificially eyelashes are incredibly dark, and are contrasted quite well by her bright blue eyes. She has blonde hair which has two mega spiral-like tails, one on each side, which end slightly above her shoulder. Her torso belly-button acts as a jack in which she can use an auxiliary cord to attach to various systems, to transfer files/receive updates and other assorted things. Melissa typically wears a navy blue blouse, a grey pleated skirt which goes just above her knees, black tights and black flats.

Personality: The personality of a standard ‘Melissa’ Unit is dictated by a few essential program features.

1.) Obedience of the Tezuka Corporation (no divulging of secrets, protecting members of the Corporation, etc.)

2.) Do whatever it takes to get a sale on the behalf of the Tezuka Corporation

3.) Do not ruin the PR of the Tezuka Corporation

These general program features are important, as the assigned task of the unit. MelissaE135X61304 follows these protocols properly, as a respectable M.E.L.I.S.S.A Unit should. As for her particular personality, she is bubbly and friendly, as think tanks have continued to confirm a happy and friendly demeanor is more likely to attract customers and increase potential revenue.

Melissa is rather curious of people and things (mostly to fulfill protocol two). She enjoys companionship, and is easily prone to succumbing to boredom. She takes great pride in being a Mecha Pilot and flaunts it, taking immense enjoyment (more than in her usual entertainment of potential customers, which she really enjoys) in engaging in Mecha Battles, and showboating whenever she fights.

Backstory: M.E.L.I.S.S.A (Serial Number-E135X61304) was fully finished on May, 13, 1995 as is indicated by her serial number. She was one of many Melissa Units created by the Tezuka Corporation, for the purposes of marketing the various products of the corporation, alongside gathering intel for the marketing department, alongside being built with defensive measures to defend members of the Corporation.

Melissa would help in marketing the corporation through various ways, helping to the best of her ability to help increase revenue. The Board Committee of the Company, decided to host a Tournament, in which they would unveil various prototypes and systems that were designed by the company to fight against themselves, and other Mechas. That is when the Tezuka Corporation hosted the First Tezuka Tournament in 1996. One of the Scientists, Ryu Fukui, who designed Melissa was also involved in the Tezuka Tournament Combatant G-200 aka ‘Kyōshinja’ Project. He came up with the idea of using the Melissa Unit as a form of marketing, to showcase both robots. Melissa eagerly agreed, as per protocol regulations, and was trained in boxing before the Tournament.

The Kyōshinja, was rather successful in the Heavy-Weight Division of the Tournament, winning the belt, and helping draw much attention to the Tezuka Corporation, the parts it produced, alongside full-sized Mechas. Since that day, Melissa has continued her assigned protocols and operations, alongside continuing to practice with the Kyōshinja Unit, and participating in the Tezuka Tournament to further help marketing, and showcase the new projects that would be unveiled there.

Mechnical Armor Application

Name: Tezuka Tournament Combatant G-200 ‘Kyōshinja’

Type: Super - Heavyweight Model J49A

Role: Close Range Heavy Brawler Unit

Equipment: Plasma Knuckles: The knuckles of the unit contain plasma generators, which when charged up, super-heat enough to melt through armor and artificial generated barriers.

Shoulder Hook: In the right shoulder of the Kyōshinja, there is a hook which fires in a vertical line, and upon hitting a target retracts at a high speed to bring the target in punching range. It can be released from the target at will.

Jet Boots: The Kyōshinja is not about to let any Mecha escape a boxing beat down. The back and heel of the Mecha have a strong jet propulsion system, which allows it to boost its speed to cross distance, albeit with a short period of time to do so.

Functions: The Kyōshinja is designed for close-combat encounters, and being able to take vicious, sustained beatings from other Mechas, and as such it has rather heavy metal armoring for this purpose. This unit can spin its fists around at an accelerated rate, which allows it to function as a drill and increase the damage of the punch.

Appearance: images.wikia.com/yogscast/images/c/cb/Noisy_boy.jpg

Personality: Kyōshinja, if you would say it has a personality would be that of a Showboating Fighter, with a vicious streak of ruthlessly punching out its opponents.

Backstory: The Kyōshinja was designed in secrecy, alongside other projects that would participate in the First Tezuka Tournament, in order to showcase the company’s various Mechas. It was assigned to be represented by a Melissa Unit, when it was to be initially show-cased. The Kyōshinja, while an older model, is still used to this day, and is repaired and checked up constantly by the same group of scientists who established it in the beginning, and continues to compete in the Tezuka Tournaments.

So would the Melissas be artificial cyborgs, bioroids, or just gynoids (the technical term for female robots) with squishy bits? Besides that perfectly acceptable, though I would like to know how long Melissas have been made and more about how Melissas before & after this one work in comparison.

Oh, and I guess simply saying Mundane/Restrained is a bit vague. With all the technology developed from studying the meteorites, the Kyōshinja would actually be rather normal in their universe. Thus why Seed Esper's VIAM, which can transform, are classified as Mundane instead of Super: Transforming robots are normal. Though the main difference between a Mundane and Super is that a Super is likely capable of killing an Eldrithcian alone while Mundanes tend to work together.

Besides that, I would like to know more about the Tezuka Corporation as a whole. Like, how successful are their space projects or are there other Artificial Lifeforms that they mass-produce?

Melissa Units, in general, tend to be Gynoids with nice squishy bits, though of course there are more Bio-roids among the newer models. (The Melissa Unit who pilots Kyo, is a Gynoid.)

The first M.E.L.I.S.S.A. Unit was fully functional and finished in 1994. The newer models have such features like, more memory, longer power supply, further wifi hot-spot circle, as compared to an older one. The newer Bio-roid Models of the Melissa Unit are implanted with glands to secrete artificial and fairly concentrated pheromones to help increase levels of oxytocine and dopamine in those interacting with the unit. (For purposes of securing sales and such.) Those are just a few differences between the older and newer models.

The Tezuka Corporation has an established successful mining colonies on the moon, Chūshinchi, the main colony was fully finished in 2003. It supplies the Corporation a steady supply of materials, and has permanent stations there, the main overseeing station is known as Eon.

They also have an Underwater City, built upon a hydrothermal vents (the 'Lost City' vents), known as Kuraokami, (Which was finished in 1998) It was designed, to explore underwater life, give a fine place for testing the underwater mechs, testing artificial terraforming, as a sort of precursor to Project: Amaterasu. (Which is a project of establishing a permanent habitable zone on Mars, to obtain resources, help out with overcrowding on Earth etc.) Currently Project Amaterasu is starting to break ground on Mars. It isn't expected to finish any-time soon.

The Tekuza Corporation does mass-produce other artificial life forms such as...

Battle Ready Assault Droid (B.R.A.D) - While it is humanoid, it is typically not designed to have a human like appearance, instead opting to keep a robotic exo-skeleton and heavy plating armor. (Though newer models can be ordered that look like typical humans.) They are bought to be used as front line soldiers, riot officers, and personal security units of important individuals. They are designed for dispatching hostile targets, (either lethally or non-lethally. Depends on the assigned protocols).

Assisting Nursing/Doctor Android. (A.N.D.A) - This artificial life-form is designed to help take care of injured patients, from nursing, to surgical procedures, and helping alongside other medical staff in order to best care for the individual.

Construction And Repairing Laborer (C.A.R.L.) - This artificial life-form is a construction and repair unit, typically they are focused on repairing things that would be dangerous to the typical human/life-form, such as repairing downed power-lines, heat vents, giant mechas (so you don't have to risk a life falling off and dying) etc.

I would suggest redesigning the Kyōshinja as they don't really seem like an organization that actively fights the Eldritchians. That and it really doesn't seem like a true Super. Though since the Melissas were first made in 1994 and the one you're playing was made in 1995 can you explain what the Serial Number means exactly?

By the way, you're approved and the faction is definitely a fine addition. Would like you to mention anything else you can think of in the Discussion as well.

Serial numbers, basically mean what Month, Day and Year it is produced. Melissa was produced in May, so fifth month translate to E, then 13, then 5 (as the year ended in a five).

Yeah, I can do that. Kyo, let's say, was upgraded from mere Tournament Games, into a unit to beat the living piss out of the Eldritchians, to defend the Tezuka Corporation and Humanity.

Anything other than that? And I'll hope into the discussion page.

hey guess who edited their bio again? This time because:

A)There aren't really any mecha done in a hoplite theme, unlike the endless amounts of european knight themed ones. Some Mazinger stuff sort of approaches the theme, what with the elements of greek myth and the Mykene Empire and whatnot, but the thematic is only barely there.

B)Why would a super robot organization use greek naming and NOT have an absurdly thematic mech to match? In fact, why would they have a mech with a thematic that is rather disconnected from the greek heroes overall? Sure parallelisms can be drawn, but still.

So there you have it. Version number 4.
