Brian's "free revenge shot" (Family Guy)

I don't like how people here seem to take Brian's side and consider his revenge on Stewie "awesome". Stewie didn't have to give him that revenge shot since Brian was being a jerk to not pay up. The fact that Stewie didn't instantly take back his offer shows what a wimp he turned into in my opinion.

You might have seen some edits I made for "Crosses the Line Twice" and "Paranoia Gambit" and "Family Guy—-Tropes J-P" where I cut out a lot of the support towards Brian and replaced it with support towards Stewie—-which is just as biased, so I removed it.

But anyways, why doesn't anyone here side with Stewie? I mean, Seth M Acfarlane himself said (about Stewie beating Brian, which I think was the true crowning moment of awesomeness): "I don't see what the big deal is. Brian owed Stewie money."

We have several Family Guy threads already including an official one. Why does this need a new thread?

I didn't think it would matter to give it another one. But sorry. It can be merged.

Yeah, the rule is supposed to be only ONE thread per work ever. For some odd reason they're getting slack here.

Generally we only have extra threads if there's a sort of subtopic in the thread that has enough discussion to be its own thing. For example, the Korra thread had a shipping thread spin-off because that fandom is weirdly crazy about shipping, and the MLPFIM thread had a different thread for Equestria Girls.

Also worth noting is that both of these cases of spinoffs were things that some people in the original threads didn't want cluttering up the original.

It was for $50. Stewie shot him and set him on fire.

And then there's the assorted other beatdowns. Like that's just ridiculous.

Didn't Brian already get revenge for that when he tricked Stewie into drinking Peter's tobacco spit?

That's in the one where Peter's a redneck (Airport '07)

Anyways, how can you NOT hate Brian? Stewie beat him up cause that was what Stewie did at the time. And Brian was being an ass for not paying up. And then Stewie just lets him be more of an ass.

So you'd shoot someone and set them on fire for $50?

No. There's a difference between cartoon and reality.

Isn't Stewie Griffin supposed to be some kind of cartoon supervillain?

For a long time, he'd shifted more to a sexually frustrated homosexual in an infant's body, mixed with homicidal maniac.

Maybe I went a little too far. I was just shocked about some of the bias about Brian being "the good guy" and what he did being so awesome because, I guess I had sort of come to believe that the audience is supposed to root for Stewie.

Also, I DIDN'T take Quagmire's side when he beat Brian up. Brian did NOT deserve that.

Actually, I personally go by Stewie's comment in "Payback for a Pipe": "Only I can beat you up, Brian."

I think the lesson is that if you owe someone money and you know they have a homicidal maniac side to them, pay up.

Umm.. so is this about a certain episode or the whole show in general?

Supports cartoons being cartoony!
