Using the words "currently," or "yesterday," or "last week," etc., is one of the most common mistakes that I see people make.

Maybe there should be a big, hard-to-miss reminder that Examples Are Not Recent when using the edit page?

That'd be a good suggestion for the Tips Worksheet.

There's already something on there about this:

Avoid wording that will become dated. "The latest" happenings won't be so "recent" in a month or so. If it's necessary to establish a time frame for something, use a name, an episode number or the like.

The problem with this, though, is that I doubt the majority of tropers read the Tips Worksheet, especially in its entirety.
