Suggestion: Nightmare Fuel.Five Nights At Freddys 2

So, new FNAF is on its way, and I have an idea for an image for it's Nightmare Fuel page: this screencap from the trailer of Foxy flying straight at your face◊.

Yes? No? Maybe?

Opened. Is there a better quality version of that image?

Looks like that's probably just a jump scare. I don't think those are really Nightmare Fuel.

What about a still picture of faceless Old!Bonnie standing right in front of you in the guard room?

Voting for Bonnie. Foxy just kind of looks weird out of context.

Yeah. Foxy doesn't really look scary unless you time the screenshot right. I'm going with Bonnie too.

Why not this image of old!Chica◊ in the vents? Seems terrifying enough.

I think either Bonnie or Chica would work. It's just a matter of deciding it. Or, we could go with new!Chica, if we want to show off the new animatronics.

Oooooorrr, we could wait for the game to come out first...

Maybe a picture of Bonnie sitting in the dark hall with all the kid's drawings?

Pretty much any shot in the trailer would work, we just need some way to narrow it down.

Y'know, we'd probably have a better idea of what actual nightmare fuel there is in the game if we waited for the game to actually be made first. I imagine that would be better than adding an image that may or may not be nightmare fuel and may or may not make it into the final version.

Still, there should be a placeholder for the time being since there is just SO MANY instances of Nightmare Fuel in the trailer itself. Foxy flying at the screen, New!Foxy's mangled visage, Chica in the vents, Bonnie looming in the office, New!Chica staring into your soul... It would be kinda remiss to not at least give a visual example while we wait for the game itself. me, I'm throwing my lot in with Chica in the vents because it's the only one I've had nightmares about, but there at least needs to be SOMETHING.

I agree with those who would prefer to wait for a work to actually be out before scurrying to TVTropes to categorize and document every facet of it you can find, but it's better to let people have their fun. TVTropes is supposed to be fun, after all.

Since it was mentioned, I do agree with either Bonnie or Chica. I can't decide which one, though, as both are scary for their own reasons.

Eh, I suppose some folks are having fun, but the huge rush just feels like people scrambling to make their mark on a popular game's page as quickly as possible. IMO, this thread should be closed for at least a couple of months to let this borderline panicky urgency die down. We don't need to get something, anything, on this page NOWNOWNOW.

It being a "panicky urgency" never occurred to me, to be honest. There's enough (more than enough) information for a page image, so people want to put up a page image. I don't really see the problem here. Even if it is just because people are excited, it's not like there's anything wrong being done. If we were combing a mundane trailer for any shot that could possibly make a five year old frown, then yeah, that'd be a bad thing, but a bunch of genuinely creepy shots are front and center, either in the trailer or released separately.

And while the idea something might end up being cut from the game is a very good point (the idea that something will end up not being scary in context seems very unlikely, given the subject matter), it's not like we can't change the picture if that happens.

Personally, i'd either go for the faceless Bonnie husk standing infront of the player or the screenshot on the Greenlight page of the mangled New!Foxy staring from around the corner outside the door. If people feel the need to have a picture in the Nightmare Fuel section so soon after the trailer, they're both great stills that can creep the hell out of people.

I'd like Foxy jumping at the camera, if only to put the flavor text:

"WHOSE DEATH SCENE IS GOOFY?!?"

I'd not mind the Bonnie picture like some have said.
