Tested changing the page type and then setting it back, and removing/readding the list. Neither helped.
I noticed that Random Encounters was having this problem, so I tried a null edit; didn't work. May be worth moving this thread over to the Tech Wishlist & Bug Reports.
Moved to Tech Wishlist & Bug Reports, because it seems like a bug to me - the [[indexing]] tag is being ignored.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI've had the markup work as intended on other pages, so I wasn't sure if this case was a bug. Thanks.
"He's a detective that breaks all the rules. She's an officer consumed with revenge. Together, they're... fired. They're awful cops."Professional Wrestling seems to have this problem as well.
Not right away, not right awayAs an experiment, I added an empty [[index]][[/index]] pair at the top of the page, and that seemed to fix the problem.
The problem may have to do with bullet lists that appear before any index markup. (And yes, I know it didn't used to work that way. I'm just making wild guesses on the minimal evidence I have available.)

Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Tried that for Eastern RPG, and it doesn't appear to be working.
"He's a detective that breaks all the rules. She's an officer consumed with revenge. Together, they're... fired. They're awful cops."Huh, that's exactly the page I tried it on (although my successful test was subsequently removed by The One Who Tropes for no apparent reason that I can see). I just tried again, though, and I can confirm that it didn't work on my third try, so now I'm stumped.
Seems like the bug might be getting worse, whatever it is.
ETA: May be just as well that my trick stopped working. A proper bug fix is preferable to a hackish workaround.

Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Assuming this is related but somehow Grand Finale is showing up on the Franchise/Negima page and it is only on the page once and not a bullet point.
Bump; is this still an issue?
Seems like.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman
Eastern RPG is an index that, in the page description, has a bulleted list of common genre conventions. Wicks that exist within this list are being indexed, despite these bullets not being within [[index]] markup. Such markup exists further down the page, for the things that are actually supposed to be indexed.
I guess I'm confused as to how to fix this.
