Loved the original novella, so I was happy to see this. Cute and funny!
A Christmas special just came out recently!
So according to this and the Twitter feeds, the gang(minus Danny) is making their way away from Silas and through the mountains. Wonder where they'll end up by the time season 2 rolls around!
I wonder whar happened to Danny and the others. Se was part of the celebration video for the second season along with Kirsche, so that's some good news.

She's probably with the Summer Society. Speaking of which, I really want one of those Summer Society posters they've got in the backgrounds of the U by Kotex videos.
Well what do you know, there IS merch! Including that poster, brb getting myself one right now.

It looks like most of that stuff is in women's sizes. Which makes sense, but still.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."SEASON TWO
I'm not super-into the new digs and a lot of this is recap but whatever.

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Oh they are SO cute.
I hope this isn't Chris's LaFontaine's blood...
I marathoned the entire first season today and caught up with the first episode of Season 2 today. Laura and Carmilla are so cute together.
Also, yikes, wonder why Perry's hands are all bloody.
Can't wait to see how Season 2 goes; almost tempted to ask if we should add folders for the different seasons, but considering how other shows are treated (and it's early days), that probably wouldn't work. I do hope that we continue to see character development out of everyone though, and that we don't get a lot of rehashed material.
Does anyone know the update schedule of this series? because episode 1 was last tuesday and episode 2 was today. Is it like a twice-weekly thing?
The internet is a waste of time, and that's exactly what's right about it-William GibsonYep, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
SO! This thread has been pretty quiet recently.
Laura done fucked up.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.I'm confused what Mattie's plan was. Collapse the campus with the students still in it? What's the point of that?
And hey, we're halfway through the season!
Mattie explicitly said that she was going to evacuate the school first.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Later she said "It's impolite to evacuate the livestock before that." (1:56)
Yeah I'm glad that Carmilla still stopped Mattie from killing Laura since I was worried the deal was off since it wasn't exactly an amicable break up, but I guess it was because it would make Carmilla upset not some arcane exact wording feelings for the other person thing.
Also uh-oh should have made Danny their champion, as they know she probably wouldn't pull something like that.
Somehow I doubt the student representative is eligible to lead.
Also, regarding Mattie's plan—she said during the debate that she thought blowing up the school and anyone in it might be a better alternative to the tedious process of selling the place.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Oh I suppose you do have a point, and they had every reason to believe he was on their side, it's just easy to point out the problem in trusting him in hind sight.
Just discovered this series and I really dig it. Not sure why this hasn't gotten more play; welcome to night vale is huge and this might as well be its sister series.
Is using "Julian Assange is a Hillary butt plug" an acceptable signature quote?Yeah the person who recomended it to me even described it as Welcome To Nightvaleesque weirdness, also all the casually gay characters, the reporter view point character (though she is the normal outsider not her significant other, and she is annoyed when she has to report things like volcanoes exploding as transit delays and ghosts coming back to the haunt the living as a pleasant day out, well Cecil had Desert Bluffs cheery spin to deal with he definitely doesn't have the same "pro-human bias").

Yeah, it's basically Night Vale by way of Buffy.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.I don't know enough about Buffy to say but yeah probably.
Also bleeding Carmilla and did Mattie just compare her sister to a pedophile, or was she referring to something else when she referred to Laura as Lolita?

Based on the 19th century novella, but set in a present-day university that sounds like something out of Welcome to Night Vale.
Watch it on Youtube here.
Also, trope page.
