I'm not where I can look at the suggestion right now, but a collage of Ed's automail getting wrecked would be a good move on this one, since it happening repeatedly is key to the trope.
The current is... flawed. I'd be for the suggestion, assuming it looks good at wiki size.

I like that.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI like @4 much better than the current.
Definite improvement.

Check out my fanfiction!4 is a big improvement.
Improvement yes, good no. It is all "what" and no "why".
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. Not a fan of 4, myself. It's too busy. I think it would be better to find one where you can see why the arm has been destroyed, too.
I think the suggestion is better than the current.
I don't think it counts for androids. The trope is about cyborgs having a robotic limb that takes a lot more damage than the natural limbs, just because it's expendable. Works on the wider concept of if something is expendable, it will be expended (is that a trope we have?).
Also, it looks like a guy holding up a fake arm. That Data's missing an arm is hard to see, since he's got his sleeve left, especially if wiki-sized.
Check out my fanfiction!Clock is set.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman4 is better but not great. As already pointed out, it's busy and there's nothing showing what destroyed the limb.

4 is great.
Clock is up, but 4 has support and is thus up and tagged; caption or no?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman"Damn, it's the third one this month. Maybe I should order in bulk next time?"
Eh, dunno. Something funny could work, but it's not necessary.
Check out my fanfiction!"Warranty doesn't cover this,unfortunately"
New theme music also a box"Winry's going to kill me."
I'm good with .
22 only works if the reader knows FMA well. 20 doesn't have that problem.
No caption consensus after a few days; locking up.

I think the current image does a poor job at displaying the trope, especially since the alchemy bolt blocks the view of the arm. I suggest this◊ image on the same scene from the 2003 anime of the series instead.
If someone has an image from the actual anime itself of the scene that could work then please go ahead.
