Needs Help: Video Game.Pokemon Ruby And Sapphire

For some reason, the page as two images.

Perhaps we can merge the images, given the fact that they're both relevant?

I'd be fine with just using the first pic.

I have an idea...

Edit: I'm trying, but failing, to put the second pic and caption into a label note. I can get the pic in, but not the caption.

We should just have the image for the remakes like with Pokemon Gold And Silver. Having 2 isn't necessary.

Seeing as Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are coming out next month, it would be best to point out that it exists. If anything, get rid of the original picture.

... or just take both pictures and paste them together in the paint program on your desktop. Either way.

I made a thing in paint. Would this work?

You need to upload it to TV Tropes. Reduce it to 350 px wide and less than 200 KB in file size. Upload it here. And please save it as a PNG, not a JPG.

Well, the page has a section for the original and a section for Omega and Alpha. If anyone feels that this should split off to its own page, that will solve this problem.

Neither FireRed/LeafGreen or HeartGold/SoulSilver are split off from their original games. In fact, Red & Blue has three sections: The original games, Yellow, and the remakes. If it works for them, it'll work for this.

BTW: The images for Yellow and the Remakes are located inside their respective folders on that page.

I think it's fine like it is.

I was capitalizing on the "Hoenn confirmed" meme when I added the second image to the page.

I was intending to split ORAS (and FRLG, and HGSS) into their own pages well before this discussion started.

Well, they don't need it. It's not like either of those pages is getting close to breaking the page by having too much text on it.

If the remakes have enough identity of their own, i.e. if there are elements (and tropes) that make them properly distinct beyond general updating, I don't really have a problem with them getting their own page, even if it's not strictly necessary. I'm not that up-to-date with Omega and Alpha, so I wouldn't know how much they change. Some new Mega Evolutions, at least?

Anyway, I suppose that's a bit of a sidetrack. Assuming the page isn't split, in which case the discussion here is a bit moot, I'd be in favour of shoving the image under the Omega/Alpha section, for consistency with the other pages if nothing else. Don't really have a problem with the current layout, the opening alone is long enough that I'm not really bothered by there being another picture, but I guess merging the images might be neater and would be easy enough.

If we really only want one, I'd take the originals over the remake. The page still covers the originals more, and the remakes will be just adding onto them.

Either or is fine.

Use the remake pictures to remain consistent with the other remade games. Also, we don't need separate pages because it isn't large enough to warrant it.

The clock is way past due on this one. I've overwritten the page with Larkmarn's sandbox version and tagged it for this thread; locking up.
