That needs to be snuffed; wearing fire is cool, but isn't clothes.
Yeah. The key word here is "clothes." Pull that.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.Based on the timing, it looks suspiciously like they were waiting for the discussion to end so they could add the picture without going through the process. Which wouldn't have been a big problem if it were a good picture, but fire is not clothing.
Vote to pull.

Pull that image. Calling ~Erylia Starheart here.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI think the picture's trying to convey the idea that the cosplayer's the one to have the Impossibly Cool Clothes, not Naruto himself.
The fact that the caption points to the opposite, however, is the problem. Let's try removing the caption first before we remove the image entirely and see if we can tell if it's this trope without the caption.
Or, nevermind. After thinking about it more, it implies that the person's dressing up as him because he liked his appearance, which I don't think is this trope.

I can kinda see what the image is going for; the trope is "Outfit that would be wildly impractical in real life", and the image shows somebody trying to reproduce it and failing miserably, but the fact that the upper image is more Power Glows than this trope is a problem.
Reaction Image RepositoryI really like the idea; show how impossibly cool it is by showing a cosplayer try to emulate it.
However, the example is poor because it's not an outfit. But the idea is sound.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI'm good to close this one since there hasn't been any discussion since the pull.
Would Elodie's◊ clothes from Long Live the Queen count?
I've known about it since the beginning. But I just refused to believe it.Don't see how they would.
Check out my fanfiction!Clock's up; locking for inactivity. No further action is to be taken based on this thread.
Or added without discussion rather.
The previous thread did not come up with a good picture, and decided to let the page blank; but back in Oct 5th, Erylia Starheart added w/o discussion a Naruto-on-fire picture next to a person cosplaying as him. It does seem to fit the trope in some manner, but then again, the problem there is less "impossible clothing" and more "holy shit he's on fire". Thoughts?
