Opened.
I say pull. I have no suggestions at the moment, but it shouldn't be hard.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.Well, the caption DOES say that it's there as the Trope Namer, and that it's Not An Example... :D
ETA: It may be tough to find a replacement, though. The best I can imagine is showing a kid playing with (or seeing on a screen) outdated equipment/graphics, with a caption noting when the work was released.

I am unimpressed with the current.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanUgh, that needs to go. It's only going to confuse people.
Reaction Image RepositoryIf the caption had to say it's not an example, then it's probably a bad sign. I say pull.
Trying to find a decent image of the Game Gear from Rumble In The Bronx, which the kid constantly plays even though it has no game in it.
This is the best I could find (copy and paste): http://www.tepg.se/wp-content/themes/tepg/titles/[Movie]Rumble%20in%20the%20Bronx%20(1996)_01.jpg .

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Any image where the caption has to point out it's not actually an example ought to be an instant pull.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! The current image is worse than useless. Pull it.
Worse than nothing.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. In one Powerpuff Girls episode the girls are clearly playing Pitfall on a N64. How about that?
Persona 4◊? Nah nvm wouldn't look good shrunk.

Plus, the throwback nature is deliberate, which makes it Not An Example of this particular trope.
Yank current, with or without replacement.
"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard CohenThen this page needs some major cleanup as intended examples are all over the place.
The old pic's gone.
Clock is set.
Evidently no progress; locking up.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman
The image has almost nothing to do with the trope proper.
