Once upon a time when I went shooting....
I was using a family friend's .44 magnum revolver, and was about to fire it for the first time. Now, I had been really waiting to fire this thing (it's a damn sexy gun if you've ever seen one) so I only loaded two of the six chambers.
Keep in mind, I'm not exactly the strongest person. So, although I was holding the weapon correctly, when I fired the first shot, the gun kicked back violently, leading to the blowback letting off the second shot as well. I remember closing my eyes and hearing a "click."
When I opened them, the barrel of the gun was pointed backwards, right between my eyes. Had the third chamber been loaded, my head would've been...well, gone.
So yeah, there's that.

Were you using .44 Magnum or .44 Special?
