I propose we move the current image to Hack and Slash and get a new image. I found this...

The page on Hack and Slash is a mess; it isn't clear what "genre" it's supposed to be about, and lists basically any action-oriented game involving medieval weapons.

On the other hand, Beat 'em Up is a clear and classic genre, of which Golden Axe is one of the earliest examples. So I think the image is good where it is. Yes, a beat-em-up with weapons is still a beat-em-up, and indeed numerous beat-em-ups have weapons in them.

I don't see a reason to move the image from a page where it illustrates the genre perfectly well.

[up][up]When I think bveat em ups with weapons i think Die Hard Arcade and Fighting Force; when I think Golden Axe I think Hack and Slash.

For Beat 'em Up, I think the image should come from a game where hand-to-hand is predominant; Hack and Slash, I'd expect to see swords and axes being wielded.

The current image seems appropriate for Beat 'em Up.

[up][up][up] Nevertheless, Golden Axe belongs to the "beat-em-up" genre; whereas the "hack and slash" page includes basically any game that has swords in it, regardless of genre. The former is a gameplay trope, the latter is a visual trope (and no, Golden Axe is not the same genre as Heretic, or Diablo, or Shining Soul).

Indeed, moving the image would give the impression that a beat-em-up with swords! is no longer a beat-em-up, which is simply incorrect.

Hack and Slash and Beatem Up are the EXACT same thing so why are these two pages?

A Beatem up is a "video game genre featuring melee combat between the protagonist and an improbably large number of underpowered enemies."

So any old random pic of a Dynasty Warriors Game would be a great image. Batter up!
