Color page of chap 132◊ (no spoilers for the chap itself).
Masuda is back to the good ol' days of Toumei Ningen there. That'd be some juicy avatar material if it wasn't so spoilery. Hurry up and come out, raw. TT__TT
Chapter 96 should be out in a few hours.

Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.I saw the Korean scans. The content is really spoilery, so I just want to say: PLEASE TRANSLATE WHEN RAWS COME OUT.
And 96 is out. Another of Aizawa's "my body moves before my mind catches up" chapter. Nice closure to the love triangle.

I don't remember if I asked that before, but would you consider Aizawa a tsundere? One thing that always struck me in Jitsu wa was the lack of a tsundere in the traditional sense (except Genjirou), but sometimes I wonder if Nagisa's not bordering on it...

Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Wow, Aizawa yer an idiot! She really can't explain anything properly.
In many manga, that page where Youko sees them would then lead to at least one full chapter of misunderstanding. Good thing we avoided that here.
I'm glad that Aizawa seems to be moving on. It'd be sad thing to see her pinning after Asahi when she stands no chance, and besides waiting for a chance to steal her best friend boyfriend just isn't like Aizawa at all.
Of course she has a problem convening that to the dunce couple.
Also, Youko in the last page looks adorable.
Well, I always though of her as one. Of course Jitsu wa doesn't play archetypes totally straight.
She's a tsundere, but more through stupidity than pride.
Hum, so…
- Tsundere: She evolves into one of sorts after her feelings for Asahi awaken. Only the "tsun" part isn't her denying her own feelings, but simply being completely unable to keep her composure when she's alone with him. More generally, she's constantly switching between her calm and gentle demeanour and her Hot-Blooded rants.
Would that be fine?
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.KITAAAAAAA and HOLY FUCKING MOTHER OF JESUS. Ô.Ô
It starts out as another Jitsu wa fake-out, with the terrible reveal that blood-sucking isn't a "kiss" but rather... the above level of intimacy. I.e. good old sex. But it get serious again, as Akane tellls Asahi to be careful: Youko has now awakened as a true vampire, and even Akane herself had trouble defeating the One-Winged Angel Genjirou. And another problem pops up: there is a clan of vampire hunters, of which Rin is a descendant. And it turns out that Sen, the nerdy-glasses pervert in Mei's class, is one of them.
Too many twists. My neck hurts.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo. Thanks for the translations! So, the vampire hunter is confirmed Sen? Probably Rin's other grandpa?
Wow, straight up sex instead of a kiss? Small wonder Youko went nuclear there.
Okay, so Rin is a: time traveller, renter of a dragon + time machine + apartment, and vampire hunter. That's on top of her being a mixture of human + not-so human blood...she kinda has excuse for being a chuuni.
EDIT: What the hell, who uploaded ch.132 to Batoto?
EDIT 2: Which gives you blank page if you click it....

Wait...What?Chap 95: Genjirou's method of strictness is doting(). And Touko has to be the one person no one wants to enrage.
Chap 96: Nagisa moves on. Or she would, if that idiot couple just fully registers what she's trying to convey.
"Well...coming from me, it's really not bad." That panel was made of win.
Yeah, she's so convincing, why don't they get it?
What do you mean? The smile?
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo. So, uh, someone just translated 132 and uploaded it to Batoto. I guess if you're a Spoiler Hound you can check it out. It's one of those chapters where plot happens though.
They sure had a lot of fun translating Youko's accent.
EDIT: Oh, it's gone already

Huh… someone who was reading 96 and nonchalantly clicked on to the "next" chapter would have wondered what the hell happened…
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.So...does that chapter has the same first page as we read at senmanga? If so then they're in for quite a scare.
Argh, I really want to use that page as my new avatar....
EDIT: ...We have trope for that?

Wait...What?Yeah, Nagisa's smile was awesome.

So I finally sat and watched the anime episode 1 to 8 in a single sitting. I have to say, it's...bad. Compared to the manga at least.
I get the manga's beginning is slow and the later parts are when it gets good, but they're clearly in a rush to include everything. Mixing chapters just did not work. They tried to glue the separate chapter parts by adding anime original contents, or plain replace the manga jokes, but the original jokes just aren't funny enough. The entire sexy competition part was cringey, despite its manga counterpart being one of my favorite chapters. Or another example, the cooking class, the manga has proper buildup with Aizawa getting into a slump, realizing her mistakes and encouraging Youko, but in the anime it just came out of nowhere.
Oh, and of course, the faces. We all know that the faces and expressions are major factors in making the manga great, but the anime just removed them all. Like, the parts where the characters in the manga have those lines for eyes, or blank white eyes, or those "abnormal" expressions. In the anime they kept the normal eyes while doing silly things, making them a lot less expressive. They didn't even have to keep the manga artstyle, just get those faces right.
I'll give that the OP was catchy though. I can't get those "NEE NEE FUTARI NO" out of my head.

Any comment of the voices, so far?
…You know, I think I understood the major reason why I couldn't get into the anime. It's not mean enough. Okurashima, for example: you don't feel their subtle jerkishness towards Asahi (Episode 1 is very symptomatic of that). The manga often gives that slightly sarcastic and cynical vibe with the characters constantly taking little shots at each other − even Asahi sometimes. The anime felt more "sugary" and more childish as a result. Everyone is too kind in it.
…Well, that's one of the reasons.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo. The girls' voices are all too cutesy and high-pitched. You do get kind of used to it after a while, but it was quite grating once in a while.
I feel like the anime team utterly missed the manga's charm. They're supposed to be cute because they're dumb. The anime emphasized the cuteness without emphasizing the dumb, which makes them fall flat. Putting the cart before the horse, so to speak.
The anime was an exciting thing because it would be an introduction to Jitsu wa's charm, but it just soiled its rep. It's honestly pretty damn deflating, and doesn't do wonders for the manga's future overseas.
On glasses: Interesting how we might get our very first legit bad guy with this one. Super powered afterglow aside, vampires seem to be pretty much alright here. Either this is another fake out, vampire hunters are a thing because of a time long past, in fear of what they're capable of, or they just hunt out of a stigma/because they can.
Because of Rin, we know he'll get better, but the vampire hunter development, combined with Youko's "true form", does leave one wondering whether this is the thread that ties together with the box girl's statement. Maybe Youko fucks Asahi up in the middle of a scuffle, and keeps her distance from him, for example. That would make for a heartbreaking few weeks.
For such a goofy series, Jitsu Wa is really good at leaving you tensed up and anxious to see what comes next.
On a tangent, Senmanga is the worst site. Just the worst.

"Curry killed the pussy hoping that I could kill the hate in you" - Curry, D. "TABOO | TA13OO." TA13OO, PH, 2018Huh, that quick 132 release is back and oh my god what did they do to Youko's speech. =___= I'll just forget I read that.
That's exactly my worry. If I had discovered Jitsu wa through the anime… I'm not sure I would have bothered with the manga. I would have been more like "meh, classic romcom shit, next."
Senmanga is fine… with Adblock on.

Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo. So yeah, chapter 97 translated + omake. Let's pretend chapter 132 never happened.
Man, I forgot how...random this chapter was. Mikan sure can pull excuses out of nowhere huh? Oh and I love how Asahi and Mikan tend to do the Boke and the Tsukkomi when they're not directly interacting with the insanity around them. (ie: page 16: Ah, right, you are stupid)
Re Senmanga: What the hell happened with that site? I don't recall them having this aggressive ads shoving last year.

Wait...What?Wha.... this was weird even for Jitsu Wa.
…Yep…
But holy damn, this chapter made me wish Asahi and Mikan were an actual couple for a minute. It really did seem like parents looking over their child.

Man, Genjirou is whipped.
This chapter was pretty nice, I like how Genjirou tries to be harsh, but really isn't cut out for it and ends up doting on Youko.
Youko wants to become a Golden Cool Beauty. Ganbatte Youko!
