I'm not where I can look at the examples right now but I really don't have much of an issue with the current.
The suggestions aren't really any less JAFAAC-y, since they also rely on text to indicate that the herb has healing properties. If I were choosing among them and the current image, it would mostly just come down to which art style I preferred.
Would something like this◊ indicate healing better?
Does not work. Use Tiny URL.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.I find the current better than either suggestion (the current isn't JAFAAC but the suggestions are).
That said, I think the current caption is too long.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! This is dependent on how well it scales. Athelas◊ from LOTR, Aragorn is preparing some for Faramir. (I think).
I like that one; here it is at wiki size with some judicious cropping:
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!
Good one.
No dice on the 1.x pics - they are not better than the current image&caption combination. 7&8 work for me.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe only issue with 8 is the lack of focus on the herb, but considering that problem is far less than what all other images have, it's the best one so far.
Check out my fanfiction!Bump; any other thoughts on 7/8?
I'll support 8 as the best suggestion so far.
Not right away, not right away8 is up, potholed and tagged (not yet on Image Source though) and an Image Links page is up as well - I didn't list 4 because the websites carrying it gave me some misgivings.
Caption or no?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIf nothing else, maybe at least attribute the art to Anke Katrin Eissmann? (Also, I get the feeling the page it's on is a recipe for some kind of mixed drink. Anyone know French?)
No caption discussion evidently; requesting closure.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanLocking up.
While I appreciate the unusual art style, it's... so comically non-indicative. The caption isn't even that helpful, being a wall of text.
Blue Herb cures poison◊.
I don't like how it's in powder form, but it does say it's just an herb◊.
