It was a night unlike any other night. The stars shimmered in the sky and the moon illuminated the darkness with a light glow. People could only watch from their place on earth as a meteor shower began. Their eyes filled with wonder as the lights filled up the sky in bright streaks and burning trails.

And on that night, six people were given their destiny.

In a glowing orb of energy, before six people, appeared Drivers. Strange belts with a magical trinket that would allow them to reach the next level of their destiny.

However, no one ever said that was a benevolent destiny...who knew exactly, if one of them was a being of darkness...

...

Kamen Rider Unmei is gonna be a Kamen Rider RP for the ages. You get to make your own rider, your own belt, your own powers, your own suit, just generally awesomeness above and beyond. The story will work out like Gaim, wherein there's an overarcing plot to everything. No one rider is over the other, and all will get their own development, and their own story. Who knows how many will grow from this? Here's how the sign up will look:

  • Name:
  • Rider Name:
  • Age:
  • Appearance:
  • Suit Motif/Theme:
  • Suit Design:
  • Belt Design:
  • Rider Powers/Weapon:
  • History:''

Feel free to build a history between you guys. Some may be evil or use their powers selfishly. Some may use their powers for good. But one thing remains. Where are these monsters coming from? What are these strange belts a part of? And the most pressing question: Why did they come to YOU?

...

Case File: Known Riders:

  • Kamen Rider Aquos (Nick The Swing)

  • Name: Ginji Makitou
  • Rider Name: Kamen Rider Aquos
  • Age: 16
  • Appearance: Despite his name, he has a very westernized appearance, complete with bright blond hair, slate blue eyes, and a slightly more square, European look to him. As he is fond of saying, blond is his natural hair colour. He has a light tan look to him, and rather Pretty Boy styled looks. However, even so, its evident in his posture and his mannerisms that he has a lot of bodily strength to him. Its obvious he works out a good deal, and is sometimes seen performing gymnastics. Ginji seems to try to smile as much as he can, though when he doesn't, its a drastic shift in mannerisms.
  • Suit Motif/Theme: Sharks
  • Suit Design: A blue and white suit that involves a helmet that looks like a shark's face, a spike coming off of the back of the helmet resembling a shark fin. He has light armor on the chest and shoulders, and slightly more obviously enforced armor on the left arm.
  • Belt Design: what looks like a bubble surrounded by four teeth.
  • Rider Powers/Weapon: Buckler Blade: Combining a sword and a shield, it can go from normal mode to either sword mode or shield mode, emphasizing either attack or defence, respectively. The left hand also seems to have some sort of energy blaster.
  • History: Ginji does not come from a very well off family - he has had to make do with what he had for most of his life, and when he managed to get into a very prestigious high school through hard effort, he found himself harassed and spoken down to with extreme regularity. Compounding this is his crippling self esteem problem - he doesn't seem to really know where he's going, and he bases his image of himself off of "being the cool guy". He seems to be concealing a lot of dislike for the rest of the teenagers at the high school, and wants to somehow show them that he's not someone you can so easily pick on. There is a noted personality flaw present in him - he doesn't seem wise of unusual or new social issues, and while he can talk to and be friendly with people, he has a problem acting on his own in a friendly way - he needs an example, otherwise, he cannot relate to people.

On the one hand, yay! Kamen Rider RP! I figure I can make Nick and Troyand's foil, a plain ol' Neutral Good Kamen Rider.

Hmmm, my little brother came up with circus-themed Magical Girls... I'll ask him if I can adapt it for Henshin Heroes.

  • Name: Laoch “Weird” O'Connell
  • Rider Name: Weird
  • Age: 28
  • Appearance: Weird is a scrawny man with brown hair which he haphazardly dyes pink, and hetrochromia, with one brown eye and one green eye. His biceps, upper torso, neck and shoulders are covered in tattoos and he usually wears a ripped up denim hooded vest and combat pants with boots and a wifebeater underneath it. He also wears three Raven Skull rings on his left hand and a full finger ring on his right.
  • Suit Motif/Theme:
  • Suit Design: A sleek gun metal grey armor, with a red muffler covering the bottom of his face and neck, His face is covered in a black visor,
  • Belt Design: Similar to Decade's, only with a Hexagonal imprint on the middle, and it has a rectangular item attached to the left side of the belt, and on the right side is a cylindrical capsule,
  • Rider Powers/Weapon: **Blaster: The Rectangular item can transform into A long ranged Pistol, which fires bursts.
    • Baton: The Cylindrical capsule has the ability to extend into A Long Baton.
  • History: There was once a hidden project, designed to combat paranormal phenomena, where special weapons known as ARMORS were formed, given to the most skilled fighters, to better protect those that were not able to.

And then someone beat the crap out of one of the users with a crowbar and stole his belt.

This is Weird, Irish Immigrant, criminal, vigilante, and asshole. He now serves as a bit of a bounty hunter/mercenary, though he has been known to have a bit of a hero complex. Unfortunately, since the belt has bonded to his DNA, it's now kind of stuck to him, not to mention the people who made it kinda want it back. And then there's the meteors...Busy day.

Time to throw my hat in!

Name: Seiji Someya

Rider Name: Kamen Rider Jesta

Age: 21

Appearance: A bright-eyed young man with his dark hair cut short and neat who is just entering his twenties. He stands at almost 6 feet and weighs a wiry 190 lbs. For someone as tall as he is, Seiji is rather plain-featured. He makes up for this by being expressive and extroverted, coming from his own upbringing and honed by shifts working as a children's entertainer. For casual wear, he dresses like Kouta Kazuraba, only much neater.

Suit Motif/Theme: Circus

Suit Design: Similar to Double's, only in red and gold, with starburst designs on the shoulders and kneepads and a high flared collar. The helmet is different, as it's shaped like a top hat. Also, rather than a scarf, the suit has a battle skirt/kama that flares out like the tails on a classic suit.

Belt Design: Similar to OOO's belt, only shaped a little more like an inverted triangle, with three interlocking rings and a more dominant red and gold on a silver shell.

Rider Powers/Weapon:

  • Triple Rings - To complement Jesta's unpredictable hand-to-hand-style, these interlocked rings are wielded like chakram in close combat. In melee, he wields them like a flail, using both momentum and their bladed edges. He can also separate and throw them as projectiles.
  • Ringmaster's Baton - A gaily-colored walking stick topped with an effigy of a smiling sun. Hits almost as hard as a police baton. With a flick of his wrist, the baton extends into a cracking whip topped with a small spiked ball.

Trained since the cradle, Seiji is fit and athletic, capable of enduring all sorts of scrapes and falls. As Kamen Rider Jesta, the suit amplifies his natural physical prowess. A showman to a fault, he incorporates the flourishes and airy tricks of his father into his combat style, often ending with his finishing move, the Ringman's Rider Kick!

In keeping with the theme of the RP, Jesta will have a few more modes and things related to the circus. Imagine, Jesta Lion Tamer! Jesta Firebreather! Jesta Trapeze! Jesta MONKEY BARREL!

History: Little Seiji had dreams. A performer's son with not too much promise but with heart to spare, all he wanted was to be like his father, a ringmaster who never made it to the big leagues but gave it all he got night after night. The boy wanted to spread joy and wonder too, just like the Sensational Someya! But when the old timer retired to take up the fishing rod, the dream might have died with him.

Until an older Seiji started cleaning up his dad's old trailer and found the most outrageous-looking belt. Wanting to share a laugh with the old circus friends who helped him, the Belt began to glow and whirr as soon as the meteors began to fall. At the same time, the old man's conductor's baton started to thrum and, without warning, shrink down until it was the size of a key.

The kid never knew what prompted him to slot the thing into the belt, but when the light and sound flashed around him and Seiji was suddenly garbed in armor, he knew that the dream never did die...

This looks cool. This is an adaptation of a character I had already, although I've never actually used him.

  • Name: Fujioka Rhys
  • Rider Name: Chronicle
  • Age: 18
  • Appearance: Rhys is a fairly lanky teen who would be about 5'11 if not for the hunch created by his walking on crutches. Elements of both sides of his heritage are obvious, especially in his facial features and he has hair which is naturally black but dyed white and carefully styled with brown eyes. His legs are understandably thin but he has quite a lot of upper body muscle. In terms of casual clothing he tends towards bright colours but typically obscures his face with a hood and a scarf.
  • Suit Motif/Theme: Celtic and technology
  • Suit Design: The base suit is a deep blue with black lines running down the limbs and it has curved shoulderpads and kneepads which are bright silver with black squares in the middle which resemble screens and show a celtic cross in bright silver. His boots and gauntlets are also black with glowing silver celtic-esque designs. His chest armour resembles several interlocking screens forming a chevron shape which glow with similar designs. The helmet is very angular with a v-shaped visor and a silver torc.
  • Belt Design: A large blue buckle covered with interlocking silver lines and a button on either side. When he presses both buttons simultaneously and then declares "henshin" the lines automatically part and retract to the edges, revealing a screen which lights up blue and shows a relevant icon whenever he uses a power. It also has a small button on the underside which allows him to transform or use his powers silently but normally when he transforms a robotic-sounding voice declares "Power up!"
  • Rider Powers/Weapon: In general, the suit makes him faster and more durable, as well as letting him walk unaided.
    • Chronicle scan: This allows him to look at a piece of technology, including something which is part of a rider's power, and analyse it to tell what it is. The belt's screen shows the v-shape of his visor and declares "scanning!"
    • He can only have one weapon in each hand at a time but he can dual-wield. Both glow when they deal significant damage.
      • Gwaedu claw: Two sharp claws appear on one of his gauntlets. The belt's screen displays two curved lines and declares "Cross slash!"
      • Grymus blade: A shortsword with elegant patterns on the hilt and guard. The belt's screen displays a long straight line and declares "sharp slash!".
    • Olwyn motor: A blue and black motorbike covered with elegant patterns. The belt's screen displays a wheel and declares "Speeding!"
    • He could potentially have more modes which he is yet to discover.
  • History: Rhys was Welsh-Japanese and moved from Cardiff to Tokyo, where his parents were both working as police, at a young age and lived a fairly happy life until one day. After being mugged and severely injured by gang members, leaving him needing crutches to walk even after recovering, he noticed strange things happening and soon discovered that his parents were actually crooked cops working with the gang members in return for money. With this knowledge, he gained a fierce sense of justice and left them, vowing to expose criminals and frauds such as them. When the belt appeared in front of him, he made his decision immediately; he wanted to be a hero.

So, is this still open and active? I'd like to join if it is, obviously. Just gotta figure out what gimmick to do. Speaking of, how connected is the world to other Kamen Rider settings? Do people know of the official showa and heisei riders? Did they even exist here? What about organizations like Shocker or Foundation X or the many otherwordly threats like Grongi or Mirror Monsters and whatnot?

I suppose the meteorite (if it survives impact with the Earth it's a meteorite) drivers don't have any kind of connection to previous rider powers? Speaking of the drivers, how would you feel about calling them Impact Drivers or Crater Drivers? Since whenever a meteorite collides it leaves an impact crater, which is just a pretty awesome term.

The RP Generally follows the canon the series do as they carry on, I.E, more than likely the original Riders are gonna be here, from The First to Drive (Or Gaim, rather, until I get a bit more info on Drive!). Monster-Wise, yes. Those things happened, but generally haven't been seen outside of their source material. Considering the ass kicking the Kamen Rider gave them. So no Mirror Monsters, no Yummy's, no Phantoms. They existed, but not at the moment. Though, who knows?

And yes, Organization X is still here. Because it wouldn't be a series if they didn't have their thumb in the pie, eh? tongue

Also, the name "Impact Driver" sounds totally bad ass. I'll use that.

Hey guys, I got interested in this RP, and since spots are still open, I'd like to sign up! Here's my profile:

  • Name: Stormer Aurion
  • Rider Name: Kamen Rider Raiden
  • Age: 23
  • Appearance: Stormer is a caucasian male with long blond hair that reaches down to his neck and blue eyes. In civilian form, he wears a black-grey fedora on his head, a grey, collared button-up shirt, a black suit vest, a silver tie, a pair of black pants, a black belt, and a pair of black lace-up boots.
  • Suit Motif/Theme: Samurai, Electricity, Longcoats.
  • Suit Design: His suit mostly resembles that of Shotaro Ishinomori's Skull Man, save for the helmet and the removal of the high collar, and with the addition of samurai-like shoulder pads and grieves. His helmet resembles that of Armored Rider Gaim, except the helmet crest is in a v-shape instead of a crescent-shape, and the helmet itself is black and silver with a yellow visor.
  • Belt Design: Resembles the Decadriver, but colored black instead of white, and with silver outlines instead of black ones. To transform, Stormer yells out "Henshin!", and swipes a card with a stylized lightning bolt on it over the clear circle in the center of the belt. The card disintegrates into lightning as he does this, and as he points to the sky with his right arm, 10 monochrome projections of his Rider form surround him and come together on him. A lightning bolt strikes him once he points to the sky, completing the transformation as a dramatic announcer voice says "Kamen Rider...RAIDEN!".
  • Rider Powers/Weapon: His primary weapon in Rider form is the RaiBlade, a black and silver katana with the ability to cover the blade in pure electricity. He can also electrically charge his punches and kicks for more power, but it can tire him out if he overuses this ability for too long. He knows the standard Kamen Rider-fighting style as well from his years of watching subs of the show, including the ever-famous Rider Kick.
    • Bike: Stormer's Kamen Rider bike is known as the Machine Raidener, and resembles a Tron Legacy Lightcycle with white Tron Lines.
  • History: Stormer Aurion was born in America, and from a young age was enamored with many things from Japan, including the Kamen Riders. In his teenage years, he fell in love with a Japanese girl named Chiharu, who also happened to be a Kamen Rider fangirl (her favorite was Kamen Rider 2). The two eventually planned on getting married, until Chiharu mysteriously vanished without a trace 6 months ago. Increasingly worried about what happened to his girlfriend, he flew to Japan to start investigating what could have happened to her. But what he ended up finding near Chiharu's abandoned home was completely unexpected: one of the six Impact Drivers that fell to earth. Stormer soon realized that with it, he could begin defending the innocent as Kamen Rider Raiden, and maybe even find another clue as to the whereabouts of his love along the way.

So hey, full disclosure, I saw people hadn't actually posted in the IC for like a week, thought this was dead and moved on 'cause I suddenly got busy. But here I am, hope this doesn't actually die now that I made a bio.

Name: Taro Yamada

Rider Name: Kamen Rider Rivale

Age: 74

Appearance: People who've known him for a few years tend to joke that Yamada just doesn't age. This statement is true, as he does not look a day beyond 30 despite being over 70 years old, not that anyone knows his real age. Other than that little factoid, Taro just doesn't really stand out whatsoever. He's an entirely average japanese man in every respect, not too tall or short, not too fat or thin or muscular, short black hair, clean shaven with dark brown eyes. Though nowadays he tends to dress in average, middle of the line black suits with white shirts and featureless black ties, which makes him the spitting image of the nameless faceless salaryman, the truth is that he could easily pass for most anything by wearing the right clothes, he is that kind of plain.

Suit Motif/Theme: Enhanced Shocker Combatman, skeleton

Suit Design: More akin to reinforced biker leathers rather than some manner of high tech powered armor, the Rivale suit is almost entirely black and features white designs resembling a human skeleton spread throughout the entire frame, not unlike a certain dark Rider, along with plain white gloves and boots akin to those eventually worn by the first Kamen Rider. Though of a much higher quality, the entire design still brings to mind the visage of the Shocker Combatmen to whoever is in any way familiar with them or their incarnations in Dai Shocker, Super Shocker or Space Shocker.

Rather than the regular Shocker Combatman mask, however, Kamen Rider Rivale wears a two-part helmet, a featureless black faceplate which covers the lower jaw up to right under the nose combined with a bone-white top made to resemble a skull, its large, black eyesockets somewhat resembling a regular rider's compound eyes if one squints a bit. The suit is also adorned with small imprints of the Dai-Shocker insignia. There is one carved into the helmet's forehead, another white one on the back, right under the neck, and then two black ones adorning the back of the hands. The boots also sport the design carved into the soles.

Belt Design: His belt, known as the Shock Driver, is an extremely simple deal, a featureless white strap with an oval silver buckle which fits handily in Yamada's hand. The buckle's centerpiece is a black medal depicting, you guessed it, the double headed eagle insignia. Yamada can materialize the belt at will, since it's part of his cybernetic enhancements, but must carry and insert the buckle manually. The entire setup is extremely resilient to all forms of damage and the buckle is unlikely to come off unless subjected to extreme trauma.

Rider Powers/Weapon: As a cybernetically enhanced man, Yamada Taro is stronger, faster and more durable than an average human even without transforming, though since these upgrades are of low quality compared to superior inhumanoids they don't add as much of an edge as one would believe. Most full-fledged monsters are much stronger and even dedicated humans may attain a level of physical performance that matches or surpasses some of the advantages given by these cybernetic augmentations. Yamada is also quite skilled in hand to hand fighting and motorcycle riding and is something of a jack of all trades as a result of his long life and his myriad of jobs.

Kamen Rider Rivale does not use weapons because of the 15 Showa Riders (counting Shin, ZO and J), only 5 of them employed any kind of personal weapon at all. Likewise, Rivale lacks any kind of form changing powers since only Stronger, Black RX and J had abilities like those, not to mention both Stronger's Charge Up and J's Jumbo Formation were straight powerups rather than any kind of specialized use forms like the Heisei riders are fond of employing. Instead, the Shock Driver greatly empowers Yamada's cybernetic enhancements, making his physical performance outstanding even for superhumans.

The combination of Taro's martial art skills and the overwhelming strength, impressive durability, outstanding speed, the ability to enhance and control his senses with the Orbit Finder eyes and the Cochlear Searcher ears make Kamen Rider Rivale a threat to be reckoned even if he lacks any kind of fancy overblown weapon or 10 different costumes. Rivale finishes battles with the Shocker Finish attacks, which can be triggered vocally or via manual handling of the belt, and consist of gathering large amounts of crackling yellow energy into his hands or feet to deliver a powerful attack. The process is tiresome and can't be used more than once or twice without rest.

Rivale can perform the following techniques with the Shock Finish

-Shocker Punch: Any kind of punch delivered with a charged fist.

-Shocker Kick: Any kind of kick delivered with charged feet. A personal favorite for obvious reasons.

-Shocker Chop: Any kind of knifehand strike, where the energy is used to cut rather than for concussive force.

-Shocker Thrust: A stabbing knifehand strike.

-Shocker Shooting: Discharging the accumulated energy as a projectile rather than on contact. Not as powerful, but has the advantage of range.

Rider Machine: Kamen Rider Rivale's bike is the Combat Revenger, a black Zundapp KS 750 sans the sidecar that's been modified to achieve Rider Machine levels of performance and durability. It's a heavy all-terrain motorcycle, not as suitable for acrobatics but powerful and capable of riding in damn near every terrain and direction imaginable, such as up buildings or across water, as well as surviving gross amounts of punishment. Rivale can summon the Combat Revenger to his location and there's few obstacles that can actually stop the bike from reaching its master.

The Combat Revenger's unused sidecar can actually transform into a secondary Rider Machine called the Side Striker. It's smaller, slower, and not as good with rough terrain as the Combat Revenger, so Rivale does not like it as much. The Side Striker makes up for all this by being a mobile weapons platform, loaded down with heavy firepower which can be used in both motorcycle and sidecar mode and being even tougher than the Combat Revenger. The main bike loses some top speed and maneuverability when the Side Striker is attached and, more importantly, it requires someone manning the guns to function, which means it goes completely unused for the moment.

While riding on the Combat Revenger, Rivale can perform another Shocker Finish known as the Shocker Ramming, where the bike is covered in a shield of of glowing energy as it accelerates to breakneck speeds, fatally crashing into the enemy. It's stronger than the regular Finish moves but requires more energy and Yamada is knocked out of his transformation shortly after performing it.

History: It has been over four decades since the Kamen Riders came to be and Shocker was dissolved, first fused with Geldam into Gel-Shocker after the massacre of its former members, then destroyed and reborn time and again. All eyes were on the Riders and the monsters they battled, as well as the rise of evil groups not governed by the being known as Great Leader. And in the chaos, a nameless grunt survived. Deciding he'd had enough, enough of battling impossible odds and being a sacrificial lamb, he took the name Yamada Taro (a japanese equivalent of John Doe) and put his life of crime behind him. His affiliation with Shocker would've seemed like a dream were it not for his ageless cyborg body.

What followed were long decades of constant moving around, not staying in one place or holding down a single job for too long. It was too dangerous for both himself and the people around him, who he never allowed himself to get too close to. It wasn't a great life, but it wasn't bad either. He managed to disconnect himself from his previous self almost entirely and was only vaguely aware of the new threats and the riders that faced them. At least until he was tracked down by Foundation X. As one of the few remnants of Shocker's trailblazing technology he was of particular interest to their research, especially since coming close to capturing one of the original Riders was a pipe dream at best.

Compared to the Shocker conversion process, their research was relatively harmless, not like it made the entire situation less distressing. The Foundation's goal was to reverse enginneer the human modification technologies found within Yamada and refine them into the same level that produced the original Kamen Riders. Of course, replicating Shocker Combatmen was a simple matter but discerning Shocker's secrets from them proved to be a daunting task. Eventually, it was decided that the Foundation would experiment with enhancing that level of cybernetic augmentation with their research into other superhuman areas to try and create their own brand of inhumanoid rather than trying to replicate Shocker's methods.

Yamada, meanwhile, was chosen to be the guinea pig for a risky procedure, the use of a mysterious device of extraterrestrial origins the Foundation had come across, one of six that had recently entered the planet. To their great surprise, the device instantly bonded with Yamada, giving his cybernetics a massive leap in power. Their defenses proved inadequate against his onslaught and the captive managed to escape, storming off into the night. The Foundation subsequently ranked both Yamada and the strange extraterrestrial devices as Grade A concerns, while continuous experiments with Shocker-derived inhumanoids were classed as Grade B.

Taro, for his part, reflected upon things. He now had power to match that of his nemeses, but found that time had given him a new perspective on things. He was no longer as bitter against the Riders and saw the harm that groups like Shocker could cause in the name of a greater good. It was time to do things right. He would recreate Shocker as a true force for good, a group truly dedicated to advancing mankind. He was now Kamen Rider Rivale.

You aught to edit the OP saying that Signups are closed, and add the other approved Riders to the list.
