GAME START!

The sun slowly set behind the walls of the capital, the backdrop for the 56th Grand Mage festival. After a week of huge battles, astounding tricks and ... maybe a few demon invasions, the city settled in for the final event. The participating mages had gathered in the floor of Centrum Arena, as the crowd cheered and shouted around them.

The Wizard King stood from his stand and cleared his throat. The sound echoed around the arena and the crowd was silenced

"Welcome, my fellow mages, to the grand finale of the 56th Grand Mage Festival! This year, I have a surprise for you all. As you know, you have all entered this event to fight for a fraction of my magnificent treasure horde. The last one standing will be awarded with this huge prize. You may utilise the entire city, as well as the underground catacombs."

A small smile crossed the king's face. "However, the practice wands you were given on the way in ... aren't ordinary magical implements. They are rods of ... wondrous power. They say a truly great wizard can control this power ... but who knows what will happen to anyone undeserving of this title?"

"NOW GO! MAY THE GREATEST MAGE WIN!"

The crowd roars as the group separates out into the city.

I attempt to head underground and find an unseen place where the rats live.

I don't think you get what we're doing here...

You send a PM to whoever's running the game. Either you shoot someone else, shoot the air, or shoot yourself. Shooting yourself obviously kills you, but if someone (or sometwo...three...four) target you, they'll die instead of you.
