Does Not Illustrate: Synthetic Plague

The picture seems supposed to be a "plush black death bactery", and there is supposedly a visual pun... somewhere.

Anyway, terribly not illustrative picture. No image would be better.

Eeeeeeeyeah, that's about as illustrative as a toothpick on a page about staking vampires. Needs to go, regardless of replacement.

Sorry about this off-topic, but "bactery?" I've never heard that word before, and Google seems to agree. Did you mean "bacterium?"

^^^ The joke would work if the plushes are made of polyester rather than something like cotton. So, yeah, a synthetic fiber plague.

This one's a toughie.

[up] The first one certainly looks cool, but it could easily be mistaken for poison rather than plague.

Can't view the second because the link doesn't work.

Third doesn't look particularly virus-y or plague-y to me.

EDIT: Oh wait, I see the rats in the first one now. It's still not quite ideal, though.

Yeah, third pic isn't that great but I'm definitely down for something from Umbrella

Somehow, I find the current cute (but the caption is meh).

Not sussed on any of the 4 ones, they all look too non-plaguey. 7.1 looks like a virus, period, to me, but then I am a biology student and know such stuff. 7.2 and 8 don't look very synthetic to me.

Of everything so far, I like the Plague Doctor pic best.

[up][up]The Plague doctor might go better in Mystical Plague rather than this one, though. Same goes with many of the suggestions in 11, IMO.

Okay, here's a very quick and dirty attempt at a "my first bio-terror" kit idea. Worth refining? Source.

Off topic, do we have a "My first X-istry set" trope, where the X is something ludicrous?

Here we go. Couldn't find a matching font so I rejiggered what was there into the new toy name.

It's not immediately obvious, but the bottom left text reads "Perfectly Harmless!" wink

Looks good. Were you able to make it a PNG by any chance? To answer your question in 14, My Little Panzer.

I used GIMP to make the editing, I can re-export the image as a PNG. I have an original that's 520 x 372 pixels if you want to play with it.

Here we go.

Much better. If you zoom in on the kid's face in the jpg, you can see artifacts on his forehead. On the PNG, it's clean. That's why you should always use pngs whenever possible.
