Manchester Black wouldn't be a good thing considering the arrowverse's problems with the no killing argument.
Among other things.
Fingers crossed for In Name Only?
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!that would be preferable. Actually, they could do the opposite of what the comic did. Have the Elite be the ones in the right and point out all the ways Kara has screwed and that she is in no place to play moral judge. If they have the stones to do that, this show will have earned back much of the respect I've lost for it.
But I doubt that will happen.
World Killer priest is a sneaky wench ain't she?
And there's still three episodes of this left? Seriously?
One Strip! One Strip!Black Lightning's Back.
Did anyone here? Inspired by the recent episode "The Fanatical", fanboy director Kevin Smith wants to direct a Guardian-centric episode for Season 4.
My opinion, why stop there with just one day in the limelight episode. After all, the creators of the show said that during Season 3, the DEO would still be at war with Cadmus, Lyla would still be dating Lyra and Team Guardian would be going strong.
But so far its all be about Supergirl and her Human-Kryptonian-God-Mon-El complexes, and James has only suited up like 3 times.
I've never cared for Black Jimmy being the Guardian, so less of him in the suit this season doesn't bother me.
I love James. Giving him more screentime as Guardian is fine by me.

Being Properly Paranoid is one thing, but never go that Properly Paranoid. It's the easiest way to lose credibility.
One Strip! One Strip!Well, that was Anvilicious, and I'm pro gun control.
You lost!Arrowverse needs to work on it's gun control eps it seems.
One Strip! One Strip!.. Their main character is a weapon. So is the martian manhunter. It is inherent in their biology - Having people who have artillery grade weaponry built in talk about the virtue of disarmament is..
Uhm.
Extremely awkward.
However they may be going somewhere with this and the kryptonite debate (Which, basically, same theme).
Now, bear in mind that I have been known to drastically overestimate the intelligence of tv writers.
But I think Lena is going to start manufacturing super powers. Full on, transhumanist, "The answer to gun control is bullet proof people, and the answer to the fear of alien invasion is to become far stronger,- Because lets face it, currently, humans are exceptionally weak compared to the average alien"
First Punisher now this? What's difficult about making a real gun control debate?
Becuse most shows don’t want to alienate the very vocal number of Americans who oppose all gun control.
Arrow tried to do it by giving nothing concreate and just saying that something not worked out with no specifics. Punisher basicly coddled up to them by effectivly running an NRA ad.
It especialy doesn’t help that superhero shows inherently grant a lot fo the false premises that gun control opponents believe in. In superhero universes you are under constant attack, vigilantism is the answer to crime and the government often is part of a grand conspiracy to get you.
We’re not going to see Lena’s assistant shoot herself with Lena’s gun because Lena wasn’t required by law to secure it properly, we’re not going to see Alex’s flat get targeted by burglars because they saw that she kept a gun there, we’re not going to see Ruby carry out a school shooting by taking a gun from Sam’s closet and using it on her classmates. That’s the reality of US gun crime, but they aren’t going to show that.
All superhero shows inherently buy into certain aspects of libertarian narrative, that makes arguing for gun control very hard.

“And the Bunny nails it!” ~ Gabrael “If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we.” ~ CyranIt's pretty baffling to have these kinds of topics in your superhero shows, especially when you aren't even good at it.
That's been an issue with the Big 2 comics and their related media since about the 80s, writing checks they can't cash. You see this whenever the question of killing or not killing a particularly heinous villains or using living weapons to tell minority allegory stories about acceptance.
Eh, whatever problem you or anyone else has with those two topics I don't see why a gun control debate is so difficult to get right in comparison.
Because of the issues silasw brought up.
That's why a gun control debate is difficult for a superhero show to get right, the setting isn't built to handle it.
Superheroes, even if they don't use guns, are regularly making use of weapons or abilities that are just as dangerous, usually moreso, with little in the way of regulation, so any gun control message coming from them usually sounds hypocritical.
I actually thought the aesop wasn't that heavyhanded compared to other superhero series trying the same.
Also, jaaaaay, Karamel is officially back 'rolls eyes'
Anyway, seeing Reign defeated so quickly was....surprising.

Yeah... the gun control debate wasn't well done. I mean, it had hints of something good in there, it was all set up with "we sold a civilian version of a military weapon that can be easily modified to be exactly the same as the military version, and also we can't track the buyers because there are absolutely no laws requiring sellers keep track of that sort of thing," but then... not so good. It doesn't help that this is a sci-fi setting, so they can just say Winn is going to make nonlethal weapons. We've been trying to make nonlethal alternatives to guns for decades at least, and none of them are good enough for police to use them instead of guns.
Oh, speaking of which: The DEO is a police agency, there's nothing weird about them using guns. They could have made an interesting note about the militarization of the police, and de-escalated from having agents carrying full assault weapons to just pistols and non-lethal weapons, but they jumped straight to no guns at all. Okay, not straight straight to no guns at all, J'onn said they'd phase them out over time, but even having no guns as an end goal is too fast.
Scrrenrant reports on possible characters that will appear in season four including Manchester Black (ugh) and a transgender character (good).
