It's way too early to start determining tier lists. The only general consensus I could find was that Chandelure is almost certainly going to be top tier.
Personally, I think that Sceptile can gain control of the field pretty easily, but if someone gets in too close there isn't much he can do. So maybe low-mid tier.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeI would not take any tier lists seriously, and neither this one, especially considering that these guys sell League of Legends Elo Boosting... but feel free to look at it for fun.

My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!Sceptile has a few options for up close, but you really can't misjudge when you can use a seed attack other wise you'll be in for a world of hurt. Especially a missed Giga Drain.
I know I shouldn't take tier lists seriously, especially this early, I just want to know people think so far.
Call me butter, because I am on a roll! 3ds friend code: 5258-0885-3903 Wii U: Bowser Charizardthat "tier list" is full of itself.
If I had to order which fighters would be in what tiers, I'd put them somewhere about
- Top Tier: Chandelure, Pikachu
- High Tier: Shadow Mewtwo, Luchachu, Mewtwo, Gardevoir, Blaziken, Garchomp
- Mid Tier: Gengar, Lucario, Braixen, Sceptile, Weavile, Suicune
- Low Tier: Charizard, Machamp
The patch is out now.
According to this, Reshiram had its damage greatly reduced and it no longer brings the shield within breaking distance.
Shadow Mewtwo had its infinite removed by nerfing the attack that makes it possible, and the range on its Synergy Burst was greatly reduced to something along the lines of Suicine's in functionality.
Aww, I liked Reshiram. Maybe I'll just use Espeon/Umbreon more.
glad they nerfed Reshiram, it was definitely way OP (even if I loved abusing it in single player).
I'll probably keep using it, if only for Cresselia. Might switch over to using Dragonite/Victini more though.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeWhy in the world does Garchomp taunt after breaking a shield with burst? I literally just lost a match because it just stood there looking proud of itself while Mewtwo recovered from the shield break and attacked me while I was still taunting.
"And kung fu is a terrible way to run a company" - alliteratorGuessing that's how it's balanced. Even if it whiffs, you get a free shield break, and if the shield is even remotely weakened beforehand the last few slashes still hit for a lot of damage.
Meanwhile I've been on a very nasty losing streak with Weavile. I don't really know if I'm just bad at mind games or if I'm using a weak character, or both, but I'm guessing it's more the former.
Alright cool!
Though that doesn't solve an issue I've been having with weavile. Every so often his neutral weak attack will pass through the opponent against the wall in duel phase.
I've had it happen once against Sceptile and once against Luchachu, both of which nearly cost me the match. (and no, neither of them were getting up. Sceptile had just landed from a jump, and luchachu just finished an attack).
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeJust hit A rank.
Shadow Mewtwo is a BITCH to fight. I know he doesn't have that much HP when players use him.
Chandelure is top tier?
When I tried it out, it felt really clunky to me. No way to close the distance on someone spamming ranged attacks.
I've been trying to find something that I like to main, but all I've found so far is a reminder of why I don't like the fighting game genre.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television. You don't need to. Chandelure's whole game is attacking from afar and letting your opponent come to you, as they'll have to if they don't want to die. Even other ranged fighters can't really tolerate its attacks.
Nintendo makes patch notes for everything except Smash
Goddammit
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.There is another thing that makes Chandelure so powerful; all of its Pokemon moves will pierce any counter attack, so you can't just Focus Attack through them like other characters. You also have to beware of the debuffs you get stacked on because if you get hit with 2, Chandy's command Grab will do as much as a B Urst Attack. The fact that its up close game isnt that bad either and its very floaty movement and its dominance at space control seals the deal.
Chandelure's big drawback is that it has low HP though, so if you get stuck in a combo it's gonna hurt.
Kinda like Pikachu, Chandelure has a little something for every situation, but what really sets it above everyone else, at least in my opinion, is Overheat. It breaks Counters, Grabs, and even other regular attacks - it's kind of like a mini-Synergy Burst, and the damage it deals is high enough that you can take out some mons when they're at a little less than half their health. They baked in a debuff afterward that prevents you from spamming it endlessly, but if you bring Espeon or Cresselia you can use it twice back to back practically with no drawbacks.
Getting close to Chandelure should be the solution to consistently beating it, but in actuality you always have to be mindful of Overheat and can't over commit to anything you do because of it. As far as it not being that mobile, it's actually got a lot of weird movement options that are really useful like it chandelier swing, and apparently Minimize? I've never seen another player use it though so I dunno how good it actually is.
So, is Blaziken a Kick Chicken?
Pokken already has over 1000 entrants at EVO. I must admit, I thought this wasn't going to catch on all that much, but things seem to be going great thus far.
it's pokemon + traditional fighting game + unique mechanics
it's like taking a whole lot of great things, mashing them together into a game that doesn't seem like it would work, but it totally does.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeThe absurd amount of money Nintendo's offering for winning tournaments probably helps.
Welp, I've chosen Sceptile as my main. And now I'm curious as to how good people think he is. How does he rank in most tier lists?
