Problems with visiting TVTropes with one computer...

Yeah - not problems with logging in. Going to the main page is slow but usually possible... but every other page takes forever and usually ends before done, showing a white page and an error message.

Just to be clear, I've emptied my cache and cookies. I had no adblock installed when the problems started a week ago or so, but I tried install one because it seemed like this google ad was where a page loading was stalled.

I have no performance problems on any other sites, including things like deviantart and youtube. This is written on my trashy laptop, which is abysmally slow - but still, it could reach T Vtropes and it uses the same connection. My work computer has no problems talking to T Vtropes, but that isn't the right place to mess around here...

Oh - I'm running Firefox, but got the same results on Chrome. I'm running Windows 7.

What's wrong?

Might be a connection problem down the pipe with TV Tropes.

Sorry, now I'm daft. Do you mean the problem is with the site? It DID take me about a dozen tries with some minutes chewing to get in here to check my post, and I simply couldn't reach another article I wanted to check... so this comp has problems to.

This has been going on for a week or so, btw, I just haven't checked another comp until now.

No, I was guessing that maybe the connection is screwed up somewhere below your access, meaning that some sites still work and others don't.

Ah, thanks. I should probably investigate in that direction then...
