I've been watching, and been pleasantly surprised since I didn't expect to like it at all and am still dreading that sort of Left Behind bullshit you mentioned.
As someone said about the show on another forum where I'm active: "I like it so far, but I don't trust it."
Oh, and Christopher Eccelston has been absolutely amazing, especially in episode 3 where his character was in the spotlight.
| Wandering, but not lost. | If people bring so much courage to this world...◊ |As Slacktivist has pointed out, Leftovers is an improvement just by the fact that three years later people are still devastated and the event is still having global ramifications while in Left Behind it's just the first item on a checklist and it barely gets mentioned after the first book. It should also be pointed out that Tom Perrotta is a professional writer, not a professional polemicist like LaHaye and Jenkins. I've read other work by him and it's pretty decent. AFAIK he wrote this because he thought it was an interesting idea to explore (and presumably to make money), not as an Author Tract.

Trump delenda estAFAIK?
And, I'd agree. I like the series thus far, but I'm very aware of how close to the ledge of the mountain they're standing on.
I will say I'm liking it a lot more than I thought I would and its taken some turns that I didn't think they'd take.
I'm afraid I still don't understand what the Guilty Remaint what though...
I'm a critical person but I'm a nice guy when you get to know me. Now, I should be writing. As Far As I Know.
Looking for some stories?Wow, no-one else watched this show, huh?
It ended last night. Wonderful ending.
DumboI've heard good things but I just haven't had the time or been in the mood to watch it. Its a depressing af show, so I kind of need to be in a certain mindset before watching.
I looked it up on here and found nothing in Forum titles so do correct me if I'm wrong, but is anyone watching this?
I think its certainly interesting.
Makes me think of what Left Behind was, but with out the 'Fuck everyone who isn't perfectly Christian in our insane standards' notion that series' had. Blech.
