If it's originally a comic strip, and the differences are small enough to have both on the same page, there's no problem. The same's done with manga and anime all the time.
Check out my fanfiction!Yeah, a page can serve two mediums of the same work especially if they are fairly similar. In these cases, we use the original medium to determine namespace and categorization.
Also, I am not sure how that fits Trope Talk, rather than say Wiki Talk.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIIRC The show is actually quite different from the strip. They could easily be separated if someone want to take the time to do it.
I haven't seen the show, but it uses the same characters and has similar themes as the comic, right? Maybe something like a film series page, where the examples are soft split into categories of "tropes that apply to both", "tropes that apply to the comic only", and "tropes that apply to the show only"?
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Sure, I'll take a crack at it.
ComicStrip. The Boondocks and WesternAnimation. The Boondocks are now split and properly indexed.
I would have soft split instead of hard split, but thanks.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.@5: There are characters in each that aren't used in the other (more in the animated series not in the strip, but the strip has at least one major one who doesn't appear in the cartoon).
Right now, the page for The Boondocks is under Comic Strips, yet the same page is explicitly used for both the comic strip and the animated series. Is this okay? Should it be categorized differently?
