Tsukiyama's plans for Kaneki have changed, but he's still being a creep. Just more in a "regular" stalker sense now, not a "I wanna eat you" stalker sense.
I loved the entire QS squad wtf'ing over whether Uta really is a ghoul. It seems rather contrived that not one of them tried to actually call him out on it, but I suppose we'll see how the story proceeds from here. Perhaps Mutsuki will remember where he's heard that voice before...
Sasaki's plan is pretty interesting, though there's of course the question of whether he plans to use it as a cover to regain more of his memories. (The reason Koori gave to Sasaki to reject the plan was stupid, but if his true reason was that he's concerned Sasaki will return to the ghoul side, that may be more reasonable.)
I'm not seeing him as a stalker at the current time, so far all he's done is charge in to see Kaneki as soon as he found out about him being alive and then planning to do something to restore Kaneki's memories.
Spoiler Day is here!
- Kanae manages to escape from Urie.
- Saiko is terrorized by Shikorae, who plays with her cheeks while chanting "Mochi".
- Floppy appears, and rescues her. He is wearing some kind of armor underneath his cloak and has three fingers on his right hand.
- Urie arrives to help Mutsuki fight Hakatori.
- Tsukiyama visits :Re.
I guess his hand didn't regenerate properly.
So I've been thinking, it seems that the series has managed to spawn more than one Spin-Off. Should we perhaps move the Jack character page to one including all the spin-off characters (Jack, Novels, Jail) since I don't think individually those have that many characters to justify completely separate pages for each?

AND THERE WAS SO MUCH, GODDAMN REJOICING!
I am the once and future king.May as well.

You sure that's not a fake I don't see news about it on ANN or Crunchyroll...
Mileena MadnessIt's obviously a joke considering that the article itself says that it'd be about Touka's attempts to get into college.
Honestly that idea could have been put into Root A so I treated it like it was serious. >_>
Mileena MadnessFair enough.
In unrelated news, I've heard that Shinohara x Juuzou is apparently a thing. Why.

Because they had significant interactions with each other, obviously.
Yeah, I am incredibly leery of any Season S announcements that don't come from a legit new sites. And honestly, some of the decisions they made with Root A would make adapting :Re very difficult.
Like, the current arc would....not make an announce of sense? And abandoning the whole Kanou arc would hinder it as well.
Spoiler time!
- Tsukiyama visits :Re, and talks about wanting to get Kaneki's memories back. Touka and Nishiki reject this idea, and are hesitant to drag him back into the Ghoul's world. Even so, Touka admits to knowing how Tsukiyama feels and misses Kaneki desperately.
- Urie trains with Sasaki, while Shirazu watches.
- New Character: Haru Shirazu, his little sister. She is hospitalized with a condition called RC Cell Over-Secretion Disease, which causes kagune-like tumors and growths. It started when she was a little girl, and she's now bed-ridden with a huge thing growing out of her face.
- He recalls her telling him she wanted to be beautiful, like a princess.
- Taishi Fura approaches Shirazu, and they have a heart to heart. He explains how a strong Quinque can reduce squad deaths by 70%. They share a smoke. Shirazu feels guilt over risking his squad's lives, and has Naoto shave his head as an apology to the squad.
- Investigators vote on Sasaki's mask plan. 6 in favor, 4 opposed. It passes.
- Koori Ui lectures Hairu.
- Eto approaches Kanae.

It's that time again! (Imperial Scans should have Ch. 42 out soon.)
- Eto chats with Kanae, and we learn some new things about her. Eto's scent isn't human or Ghoul, which she teases Kanae about. SHE CAN ALSO EAT HUMAN FOOD!!!
- Kanae attacks her, and she responds with her own kagune which is.......some serious Body Horror. There are arms growing out of arms growing out of tentacles, wtf. There are random mouths and they can TALK separately from her.
- Sasaki cannot find a single record of Kaneki or the Eyepatch Ghoul. He ends up in the old archives, where he finds a draft of Amon's report from the night Mado died. Ui catches him there and seems suspicious.
- MASK TIME!
- Dr. Kanou calls Naki to visit him in his lab about something.

I'm surprised it mutated that far, it doesn't even look like an Ukaku anymore.
More info for this chapter:
- Eto claims that two things determine a Kagune — the amount of RC cells determines Size, while the shape is determined by imagination/intelligence.
- Eto talks to Kanae about theology, and the Forbidden Fruit. She asks him what he thinks God is like, and lectures him about how Tsukiyama "isn't looking at him" and his loyalty is really just possessive and a fear of being alone.
- The Quinx's operation has been going poorly.......because Ghouls keep recognizing Sasaki and RUNNING THE HELL AWAY from "Eyepatch".
- New info on the current power structures in Tokyo. The 6th Ward (Shachi's ward) has a new leader, the 21st and 22nd are in the midst of a Turf War, the 18th is held by Miza and therefore Aogiri, the 1st and 2nd are firmly held by CCG, there's a conflict with CCG in the 7th ward, and the 5th is considered a good ward to lie low in.
He should have got a new mask.
And I wonder if Kanae will actually listen to what Eto is saying. I doubt it but I could be wrong.
The bit about RC count = size makes me wonder why Yamori's kagune was so small though.

The translated blurbs I'm seeing suggest he kind of is, which should be interesting.
She asks him about being the last of the Rosewalds, so I wonder if there's something significant there since Germany keeps popping up. She also suggests that he doesn't actually care about Tsukiyama, he's merely possessive and controlling. And he found true joy not in helping Tsukiyama recover, but in tormenting Sasaki. She tells Kanae she will become his "God" and suggests that they should destroy the ones that don't actually love them back.
So yeah, I think that pretty much confirms that Kanae's feelings are romantic and he's a budding Yandere.
Other details:
- During their investigation, the Quinx split into teams — Mutsuki and Urie, Saiko and Shirazu, and Sasaki solo. Saiko had a whole story made up for their cover, and she mentions to the others that the Ghouls they talked to seemed like good people. Urie yells at her for this.

I wonder how that will go.
Anyways, after a long wait, chapter 42 scans are out.
Tokyo Ghoul: Re, secretly a big gay love triangle with a side of Touka.
Some people are stubborn about not acknowledging character development.
As for them being friends before the rooftop scene, Kaneki still didn't quite trust Tsukiyama when he decided to disband his group.
