He didn't like the fact that everything was cruel to Gary and that Spongebob was "OOC"
edited 30th Aug '14 10:26:42 AM by Teddy
Supports cartoons being cartoony!Out of character or not, Sponge Bob still was not portrayed in the right, and apologized to Gary for treating him the way he did.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."As someone who actually enjoyed The Great Snail Race (especially Lightning Larry Luciano!), I will say that Gary's suffering was kind of hard to watch at times. I mean, did we really have to see his eyeballs popping?
And it did lead to this pretty funny exchange:
"Oh, Gary, why didn't you tell me I was pushing you too hard?!"
-meow-
"You did? Oh, Gary, why didn't you tell me I wasn't listening?!"
-meow-
"You did?"

I love to learn, I love to yearn, and most of all... I love to make money.Hopefully he'll address that in his review.
Btw guys, here are his pre-movie episodes he considers "debatable" for anyone who didn't click the link
I Was a Teenage Gary
Dumped
Krabby Land
Born Again Krabs
The Sponge Who Could Fly
I assume debatable means that he could do an A.A, but doesn't find it too bad for one.

Supports cartoons being cartoony!Presumably you also had a problem with "Sponge Bob Meets the Strangler"... remember what happened to the Strangler's eyes?
"I Was a Teenage Gary" was a genuinely good episode.
People don't get it's supposed to be a take on horror films; the title alone is enough evidence (a take on the "I Was a Teenage..." horror films of the 50s).
"Krabby Land" and "Born Again Krabs" were also good episodes. If you're going to claim it's Character Derailment on Mr. Krabs' part, remember "Jellyfish Hunter" and "Clams."

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."These are his reasons they're debatable.
-I Was a Teenage Gary: Pie Guy explained this one well enough. I just don't find it as bad as him.
-Dumped: The plot seemed kind of manipulative... and... a cookie, really?
-Krabby Land: Mr. Krabs is really unlikable, but he gets his comeuppance
-Born Again Krabs: Mr. Krabs almost got Spongebob arrested for 1.99, and here he sold his employee's soul for 69 cents. It's more of a spur of the moment thing here, and he feels repentance about it.
-The Sponge Who Could Fly: The town's people are assholes, but it does have a nice message. Still :/
I honestly found Born Again Krabs boring.Besides the begining and Spongebob pissing off the Flying Dutch Man it's pretty forgettable.

My Tumblr "If theirs one thing I'm good at, it's blowing" Jesse Cox 2013That's actually one of the few episodes I haven't seen. I can't imagine I'd like that scene from the way you described it, though.
Also, regarding your earlier comment about Tom, I remember how Mr. Enter made an offhand comment that Tom actually deserved his torment in the R&S:APC review.

I love to learn, I love to yearn, and most of all... I love to make money.I imagine the exceptions would go under atrocities
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing. Here's a choice quote: "I'm sorry, but my cleats are stuck in your corneas!"
Does animal-on-animal abuse count?

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Well, Ren is an animal, so I suppose it does.

I love to learn, I love to yearn, and most of all... I love to make money. You know I had actually forgotten all about that.
I like the episode personally but I don't know if I would have gone that far...
On a somewhat lighter note, This should make Enter super fans excited

Supports cartoons being cartoony! What does he mean by a ripoff?
Is it a show that rips off another show, or an episode that leaves you feeling ripped off because it was promoted as something special and wasn't?
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."well the episodes on the list will be spongebob (the silhouette on the pic is him lol), so I suppose he means ripoff in the sense of a copycat episode. His example was A Pal for gary and Pet Sitter Pat.
edited 31st Aug '14 7:39:39 AM by teddy
Supports cartoons being cartoony! Those episodes barely rip each other off. The basic plots are different.
The first one? Involves Sponge Bob buying a new pet, which turns out to be harmful to Gary.
The second one? Involves Sponge Bob letting Patrick pet-sit Gary.
There is no ripping off, and if he wants to use "Well, Gary gets tortured in both," then I'm sorry, it does not cut the mustard.
This is akin to saying that "Dumped" was ripped off by "I'm With Stupid" because Patrick has a jerkish attitude in both.

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."another reason to him for the episodes being a copy is because Spongebob was clueless to Gary's harm in both. His exact words were:
"This episode feature Gary being tortured by an outside force while Spongebob remains oblivious"
edited 31st Aug '14 7:43:24 AM by teddy
Supports cartoons being cartoony! In the latter, Sponge Bob remains oblivious because he is not there.
If he's going to claim that that was a ripoff... well, again, to use an example I said earlier, "Daffy Duck in Hollywood" and "Hollywood Daffy" have similar titles and a similar plot: Daffy Duck goes to Hollywood and causes mischief.
But everything else about these two cartoons is so different I can't say one ripped off the other.
He's really stretching for an idea now.

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."I think Enter believes a ripoff cartoon is when a certain episode's plot/premise is similar to another. A second example he said on a deviation for an A.A was Gullibe Pants being a ripoff/rehash of Squids Day Off.. Despite the latter having Squidward in charge of the KK instead of Spongebob and the reason for Krabs leaving being completely different from one another.
it's all confusing..

Supports cartoons being cartoony! He realizes there are things called "clichés," right?
I don't see why we ought to complain about this episode ripping off another episode anyway. There were three Looney Tunes with the same damn plot and nobody gave a damn.
(Also, to make a note of this... "Squid's Day Off" largely focused on how Squidward thought he was messing up by leaving Sponge Bob in charge; the other one focused on how Sponge Bob can't run the Krusty Krab.)

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."..... everyone should just STOP the idea of rip-offs.
Nothing is original anymore!!
The term "ripoff" these days means "something I don't like that has vague similarities to something I do like."
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Well that sounds extremely petty.
It's suppose to mean fraud or subordinate imitation. When did the word spiral into this? I blame vidya gaems and the Internet! >:(
I kid btw..

Supports cartoons being cartoony!Though in this case it's, "something I hate that has vague similarities to something I also hate."
I'm not sure if that's better.
I love to learn, I love to yearn, and most of all... I love to make money.
So Tom and Jerry, Sylvester and Tweety, that sort of thing?
If he gets rankled by this, I'd like to see how he reacts to Mammy Two-Shoes punishing Tom.
