The problem is that he seems to conflate "bad parents" with "flawed parents".
Out of the various examples he rags on, only a few can truly be called "bad parents". People like Judy's parents, King Triton or Moana's father are not perfect, they are people with flaws who still care about and support their children. That's realistic and makes those characters more relatable, but it seems like any parent who isn't a saint or a perfect human being to Enter is automatically a "bad parents".
Yeah I got irritated with him at that point two. If your writing your parents as a perfect figure, there's no conflict. So either you kill them off, give them flaws, or force them away from the action. Not every story can do the third, so there's why the first two are popular.
There is a real difference between that and Peter "I can barely stand that my daughter exists" Griffin.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.In a freudian sense, I believe he's annoyed by most parents in cartoons because he himself grew up with parents that were far from perfect to begin with, and expects to see them portrayed as being perfect in cartoons as a form of escapism.

I second that. In fact, a lot of complaints he has in animation have relations to his crappy childhood. He hates cartoons abusing characters because he was abused and bullied. I feel that for him cartoons are his way of escaping his troubles, so when a cartoon in some way reminds him of it in a negative way (like not taking the matter seriously by playing it for comedy), it really hurts him more than it would to someone else.
"Detecting trace amounts of mental activity. Possibly a dead weasel or a cartoon viewer"How is that the fault of the writers?
It isn't...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.To be fair to him.It seems that his issue stems the viewpoint that the parents tend to have the same types of flaws (nagging mother and stupid father, narrow minded father e.t.c) not just because they're flawed.

I do remember him specifically pointing out the "idiot dad, nagging mother, and close-minded parents" thing in that point.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life! You guys act like no one is using entertainment for escapism from crappy parts of their lives.

It just seems like Enter is making a good portion of this videos for the sole purpose of saying "I'm not getting the results I expected from my entertainment because of my personal experiences and therefore you shouldn't either". Dude just because you got bad parents it doesn't mean everyone does, or agrees with you on your cartoon opinions. Also, why even make your personal problems public anyway?
Perhaps it’s therapeutic for him to lash out at the medium he thinks betrayed him.
Sounds like misattributed rage, which most therapists would tell you can feel good in the short term, but isn't healthy or helpful in the long run.
It’s also narcissistic in nature. “This offends me so everyone else should be just as offended even though it offends me due to personal trauma.”
Edit - Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that having the trauma or trying to avoid it personally is bad. But you can’t expect everyone to share your viewpoint. It’d be like banning horror movies because a few people have negative experiences tied to them.

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
I think people are getting a bit to hung up on this.Yes his anger over the trope may come from something personal. Doesn't make the criticism he gives any less valid.
Seriously, Everyone has a trope that annoys them for one reason or another. For some its damsel in distress.for enter its stupid parents

There's a reason why Pet-Peeve Trope is YMMV.
Not everyone is going to have a problem with the same trope.

Never underestimate the importance of an open mind and compassionate heart.I agree with most of the points he makes except for Smiler being a twist villain. It was extremely obvious that she was the villain.
It's been 3000 years…Honestly it feels like he's trying to find any and all excuses of calling something a twist villain, like he's obsessed with the idea.

He's still working on Miracle on Evergreen Terrance and the surprise, which will be over an hour long and come out in January. (Both Atrocities)
You also missed point with 5) his point was that all cartoon parents are portrayed as bad parents or they are dead <_< So doesn't really matter what kind of bad parents they are if most of them are some kind of bad
