[up]I have not seen any of their concerns being valid thus far, so what's the problem?

It just feels like a really rote topic at this point. People have gone over this so much lately that is there really anything else to add?

I don't know, but he has done this a couple days ago. NVM that seemed to had been discussed, but I'm still linking the video for context.

What I got apart from Beatman's points is that Enter seems to want less Executive Meddling from CN. And also I can't help but wonder if CN's problems are a reflection of his initial criticisms with Nickelodeon (specifically the "finding the new Spongebob" mentality)

It's really weird to me how that CN does good when Nick does bad, and vice versa.

They should be both good like in the 90s and 2000s.

Also, I get that cartoons are expensive and need merch, but why didn't CN think about making merch other than toys? Like, for the adults that watch, make shirts. And also make DV Ds of their cartoons (something that baffles me about CN. Why are they bad at releasing their shows on DVD? Especially the old ones. At least Nick is able to do that right.)

Not all adults are willing to buy toys.

You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!

I wouldn't say Nickelodeon is doing a whole lot better. They still abuse the Sponge Bob principle just like CN does now, and their horrible screw-up with Harvey Beaks still leaves a bad taste. What they're doing better with is that their scheduling, as wonky as it is, is still an improvement over CN's, and their revisiting of older properties has much more care going into it.

I mean both networks kinda look a bit flat compared to Disney XD.

[up][up] Yea.One would think that the high cost if animation would encourage CN to look into other means of getting profit from their cartoons.l especially given that Kids these days are more into video games than toys

CN has had what, 2 "revivals" of their old properties recently? There was Nu PPG which was mediocre and unnecessary, and there was also Samurai Jack Season 5 which from what I've gathered had some flaws but was pretty good overall.

Nickelodeon has the rocko special, the invader zim special, and the arnold movie that I know of and they all look/seem pretty good from what we have to go on, although none of them are actually out yet to make a final judgment.

Nick does seem to be doing better with it's reboots, in contrast with how CN tends to have hits and misses.

Looking at the three times CN has brought back old properties, two of those times involved actually bringing the creators back (Samurai Jack and Ben 10). With Samurai Jack it worked, but admittedly that one was on Toonami and marketed to a more adult audience with Tartakovsky having a lot more freedom. The creators of Ben 10, Man of Action, have a lot of issues with their writing that a lot of people criticized with their post-Ben 10 shows, so the Ben 10 reboot is no exception here. The Powerpuff Girls reboot seems to fail the most compared to the other two because Craig Mc Cracken is not behind it and the show's entire existence is much more of an obvious cash ploy (not to say Ben 10 isn't but at least the creators being back shows some care might've been in place).

Meanwhile Nickelodeon has all three of their revisited properties with their creators behind them, and I should add that these revisited properties are being revisited temporarily. Rocko's only getting a special, Hey Arnold and Invader Zim are only getting movies to wrap up their respective series, it's all a temporary thing.

I think the reboots that are temporary have some good quality to them.

The Samurai Jack reboot was temporary and it turned out really well, so there's that.

It still had a majority positive reception despite some criticisms versus the universally negative reception of Ben 10 and Powerpuff Girls.

I'd consider that turning out really well.

Being mostly well received with some criticism is the best thing a show can hope for, well, other than strong viewership.

Calling 2017 the worst year of CN ever seems like a major overreaction, and a bit disingenuous. "At least CN Real had variety"; really, that's your defense?

A number of the things he complains about in the video, like the canceling of Young Justice and Green Lantern, happened several years ago, and are only reflective of the company now in that... they still don't have them? Get over it already.

And is it just me, or can anybody else not tell if he is asking for more executive oversight or less, because he seems to be complaining about CN executives meddling to much one minute, and then switches around to them not taking a firm enough hand the next. This is not to say that a company should not be able to do both, but as he offers no ideas other than "CN executives, don't do the things i don't like!!", he just comes off as an indecisive pearl clutcher (seriously, many of his complaints basically boil down to "please, someone think of the children!").

Thats what I got from the video anyway, and I think the reason I came away so critical of it was because it was just so dang long. Seriously, Enter cannot say anything once, he has to repeat everything, almost word for word at least half a dozen times before he moves on to his next point.

Hence why I prefer his shorter videos. I feel like he makes some of his atrocity videos too damn long because half of it is him repeating the same thing over and over.

At least CN still has a steady stream of alright content. Steven Universe, We Bare Bears, and The Amazing World of Gumball are all still airing and they're CN's best shows, not to mention OK KO is taking off wonderfully. Nickelodeon has...what, The Loud House? I mean I guess there's Welcome to the Wayne but it has five fucking episodes so far and Nick has been screwy with it (which isn't a good sign to me).

Admirable is increasing its scope a bit to talk about a very early animator.

I hope that what Enter doesn't object to in Korra is Korra's ending relationship. True, he has been in support of gay rights before, but more from a writing standpoint he might see the creators as "pandering" and think that they didn't handle their online response well. I wish they could have gone as far as a heterosexual couple but Nickelodeon has the "family values" crowd watching their cartoons and looking for content to boycott. Which is probably why The Loud House got quite a bit of attention from it's boycott.

[up]I meant I wish Korra and Asami, could go as far, (as in kissing or saying they love each other) as a heterosexual couple in the show. They probably could have if not for parent groups.

Edit: Edited for clarification.
