Disney's Star vs. the Forces of Evil

-Revival happens that centers on original Star-

And then Star responds, "We'd LOVE to, but the network censors won't let us!"

I missed the chance to make that joke! :D

@Austin: Star gives Toffee the finger, but her hand is censored in some way by the back and foreground.

"I meant my finger," Toffee retorts.

Star pulls out his actual finger, but holds it in way that necessitates censoring again before telling him to come and get it.

That would be lovely.

So there's been this AU discussed on another site that I found pretty interesting. It's called Ludo vs. The Forces of Evil. The basic idea is that the AU is one where Star and Ludo's roles are switched, Ludo being a magical prince sent to Earth, and Star being a bratty evil princess trying to steal his wand.

Voted for "Ludo in the wild". Perhaps not as much of a spectacle as, say, Bonbon or Storm the Castle, but I enjoyed the change in tone and pacing. Also, great development for everyone's favorite patsy.

I'd rather not. We're looking for "the best episode EVAH", not "a bunch of episodes that are pretty darn good".

I mean, we already pretty much know what the top 4 are going to be. Just not in which order.

Although Bon Bon is my favorite episode, I have to say that Ludo in the Wild is a damn good episode. It was a very strong way to start season 2 and it made me realize that the show was planning some big things and they didn't want to play it safe (and yes, even more than Storm the Castle).

I was watching "Beauty And The Beast" in theaters today and I saw this ad for it about silencing your phone. I went berserk seeing this in the theater! I guess that's the closest we'll get to a "Star Vs The Forces Of Evil" movie.

The Nucleus Gallery had the premiere of the new intro for season three. Daron Nefcy asked for it not to be recorded but the audio was. The song is unchanged, but the uploader also gave a summary of the visuals:

"Star and Marco using his scissor to visit Mewni’s along side they travel throw portals and finding Tom , Kelly ,Rhombulus dimension and getting really close to were Ecplisa is being held and imprisioned. We get a Group shot of Janna,Kelly,Tom Star And Marco also Marco and Star Finally confront Toffee who is still controlling Ludo in the final shot were star shoots the screen with the broken wand."

Other reports, including the Disney TVA News twitter, say that Marco has a new outfit in the intro, specifically that he's wearing a cape.

Oh man. Go to Reddit and see for yourself. Not so much shipping tension but a LOT of displeasure at the possibility of Jackies character along with the whole Jarco ship and it's development being tossed out as nothing more than plot devicing all of which would give me the ok to write this show off and move on to something else. Seriously, if after all of the development and story breadcrumbs they just toss it out then the show really only did last for 2 seasons before the rot set in which is sad since I expected and hoped for better.

Writers need to learn how to write blooming couples?

I highly doubt such a thing will happen unless the writers are just that stupid. Seems to be worrying over nothing at the moment.

"I saw the preview in person and I can write a thorough description of it. It starts with Star, Marco and the laser pups in his room and they go into a portal and end up at the castle portrait from the beginning of episode 1, they run down a table and Marco uses his scissors to take them to the Pony Head dimension where they see PH and her sisters. Next they fall into Toms carriage and demons and Brian are there and they dance at the 'good time' part of the song,

Then they go to the goblin dog dimension and pass Mina Loveberry and see Kelly fighting a monster. They end up at the truck before jumping through a portal to Miss Heinous’s car and her, they go through one last portal to Rhombulous’s place and walk past the prisoners with Eclipsa in full view, Suddenly Toffee-Ludo appears with Glossaryck and Star and Marco stare from below as Star casts a spell at him. After the spell disappears it cuts to a clearing on mewni at night and Janna is laying on her side all chill and Star and Marco come on and Marco rolls onto screen with a dark grey cape looking like a badass and a dork at the same time. Then Pony Head and Kelly (with a sword) jump in and Tom floats in on flames and is wearing his black tie and suit. They do a squad pose and the title screen appears from Star’s wand."

Interesting stuff to take from it:

-Janna is on Mewni for some reason. Maybe she'll do some dimension hopping on her own?

-Pony Head, Kelly, Janna, and Tom are being built up as the main "squad" which does make Jackie's absence more notable.

-Glossaryck is working for Toffee.

So I've been binging the show, and I just realized the head of St. Olga's is voiced by the woman who also does Malory Archer.

Yeah, I'm surprised more people haven't noticed that. I guess she's typecast as controlling older women.
