There are plenty shonen with well-developed romance, honestly. Yu Yu Hakusho is an example, Flame of Recca is another..Rurouni Kenshin...

And FMA.

Then again, FMA did very little wrong.

The one problem I have with FMA.....

Not enough of full version of Greed's Ultimate Shield.

That's my only beef.

i was kimda hoping we'd get Escanor's PL.

I was hoping for a bit more exposition. And less stringing along of a boring subplot that had already reached a decent conclusion.

on another note,i thought they had told Hawk what his actual PL was.Gowther did,didn't he?

not that he'd stop acting like that,but it'd be nice.

Gowther did, Hawk just didn't believe him. It's getting kind of annoying.

What will Sins do to power up?

How long will Merlin spend as a floating ball?

Will Arthur get his spirits up?

I like the 'Go eat souls' option. Classic.

Good chapter. Surprised both at Gowther being the weakest Sin (albeit with an OP ability) and King being the second-strongest.

Also, at this point I'm pretty sure Elizabeth is Liz reincarnation or something.

That's too obvious, though, so I really hope it's not true.

Also, it seems the healing wave wasn't the full extent of her powers.

I too am also hoping Elizabeth isn't Liz's reincarnation for the same reason as Arha.

I'm not really sure if it's funny or unfortunate that Slader rushed to look at Gowther's junk. Admittedly in a lot of series (and this one) the same would likely happen with a guy if a girl took her top or bra off, so yay for equality, but I don't think I find that particularly funny, either.

I didn't even notice that's what he was doing. He is probably the least stereotypical gay character I've seen in a piece of Japanese media though; even in FMA the gay guy was a total flamer.

Anyway, King is re-friendzoned. Biggest pile of bullshit ever.

He's not even re-friendzoned. She doesn't even know that they're friends.

And Hamburger Time is talking about Winry's automail mentor who, while never said to be gay, was basically a big, flaming stereotype.

Also, in the panel where Merlin estimates the Holy Knights' power level, you can see every Knight that has appeared in the series so far, including, if you look at the very, very far back, the Weird Fangs. I hope they show up again.

There are a few...very progressive gay characters I've seen in shonen. And then some...well...yeah.

Does Badass Grandpa really belong in Escanor's folder? We know how old he is now and it's not normally what one things of when they think of the trope. I mean, he's younger than Dreyfus and it's not under his folder.

Plus, honestly, I don't think he looks that old. I think the beard is the only thing that makes people think he looks old, imagine him without it and suddenly he looks a lot younger.

We don't even know for sure that he has a beard.

Seeing as Gowther has things under control I wonder what the explanation is going to be for why he can't just fix things with Diane.

And before someone says it again, I doubt he did it on purpose to test the "power of love". He already saw what the power of love can do with Meliodas and Ban, that's why he did the whole thing with Guila and caused the problem in the first place.

Maybe he isn't strong enough to do it anymore. Training for Gowther might be as simple as taking the control bracelet off of him and letting his powers grow on their own to whatever level they should be at.

Or the control bracelet prevents him from fixing things cause it nerfs his powers to the point of not being strong enough to reverse what he's done.

So they have to decide whether to release him or hope he gets powerful enough while wearing it to do something.
