Since when were gods always bad, even in manga or JRPGs? I remember having this conversation with you before, Rob.
You've had the conversation like three times already.
Put in those terms it would be easy to see that as one of the reasons they were at war with everyone or at least felt it was justified. That'll probably come up when Meliodas have their emotional showdown.
We need to find out more about the whole magic power situation from 3000 years ago.

Yeah, we have had this conversation.
I think I've just been too deep into Shin Megami Tensei, and took the fact that the God Is Evil page is bigger than the God Is Good page as a sign that Gods are more likely to be villains.
Forget I brought it up......and toss a brick at me if I forget and bring this up again.
That being said, they are still rather shady, and we know less about them than most of the other races right now, so anything is on the table in regards to Character Alignment for the Gods in this series.

One Strip! One Strip!I ain't gonna brick ya. I'll throw this page at ya.
Really, Rob, you need to stop saying 'usually' or 'most of the time' or stuff like that when what you really mean is 'in SMT'.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."Is that something that happens a lot?
But anyway, anyone wonder if Hendrickson would have just been better off dying at the end of the first saga?
Well I do think it happens in other things as well, but it's not as much as a thing as it is in SMT.
I know Disgaea4 had a thing about beating up God, and there was also Arc Rise Fantasia, though they put an interesting spin on it.
I'm near positive it's been a thing in other games and shows as well. But Yeah, the SMT thing might have made me think it was a common trope in Japanese media.

One Strip! One Strip!Shin Megami Tensei might have codified the God Is Evil trope in YHWH, which is why you keep going back to that franchise when you bring up this topic.
Make sense I suppose.
One Strip! One Strip!Disgaea 4 'God' is likely not actually God given that the only person to interact with it immediately doubts that it's the actual creator deity. Even if it was, it's still only a neutral figure.
Honestly, if God Is Evil has more examples than God Is Good it's probably just because it both stands out more due to being against natural assumptions and the difficulty in telling a good story while having a benevolent omnipotent figure on your side.
Well, I hope we get to see a bit more of the Goddesses soon, so we can figure out what their deal is.
The Goddesses want to kill Melodias because they hate how he refuses to explain anything.
Yeah, still bitter about that too.
One Strip! One Strip! We're all bitter about that Rob. Here's to hoping there's at least a semi-decent reason for that because making it entirely justified is probably going to be impossible.
I mean, if he's under a curse where he'll be punched in the balls or something if he mentions it, I could understand.
Nobody wants to be punched in the nuts. I just want him to give some reason.
One Strip! One Strip! He wasn't punched in the balls when he told Merlin not to lie in front of Galan.
I dunno, Galan's REALLY fast; he could've gotten a nut-shot off while we weren't looking.
Ha thats a funny thought.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Chapter's out.
Guess we're gonna solve the Diane issue now. At least I hope we are.
One Strip! One Strip! And got blue demons now too.
and another fighting festival.
I kinda feel like 'Matrona' is actually Dolores. Please no.
Where still on that? What gives you that feeling?
But anyway, I didn't notice this the first time but did it seem like Octogirl was implying she and Meliodas used to be something...more?
I guess Escanor's delivery could be to Byzel (or is it Vaizel now?) so they'll all meet up there, eventually. I also guess the other Ten Commandments will be showing up too.

I dunno. The dumpy little kids look like her and Matrona sounded a bit off when talking about the battle where she supposedly died. But then even if you were supposed to be hiding that kind of secret it's kind of a dick move to say your kids aren't your own in front of them or whatever.
I feel like the kid's would be larger in size if they were hers being half-giant and all. Maybe not her size, but bigger than their dad.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.I don't see why Dolores would impersonate Matrona, even giving herself the same scars and make an elaborate "I'm Matrona and this is how I survived" back story. That'd be straight up crazy.
I get the feeling that the "dance" is actually some sort of training routine.
Fighting Tournament? The plot is all over the place these days.
And, I mean, that's just not true in the general case either. Gods frequently turn out to be questionable, but demons are normally one of those 'it's okay unthinkingly slaughter them, because they're all evil' things. They're never not at least partially bad news.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."
