On an unrelated topic, I've been looking for fanarts these past few days and I'm kind of surprised I didn't see any pics of Mikorin together with the other two Mikoshibas

Episode 7:

- Wow! Nozaki-kun looks great in that fuku!

- How does he even have muscles when all he does is go to school and draw manga. Lucky jerk.

They do go down pretty easily compared to the effort spent getting them, from my experience.

You know, I'm not seeing much of a difference between the sailor uniform and her normal uniform other than the colors. Not sure what was so bad about it.

Well, general size mostly isn't affected by what you do, just genetics.

Maybe in the distant, distant future when this manga is about to end...

Romantic progress? In a Tsubaki Izumi gag manga? Don't hold your breath.

My favorite parts of that chapter was Nozaki nonchalantly assuming direct control of the art club and that one art club member's utter joy at the despair in the scenario she made Mikoshiba act out. Glad to finally see them animated.

EDIT: And on the sailor uniform bit; it's not hard to conclude that some guy picking out a uniform that is clearly not their own for his "girlfriend" to wear for him while he takes pictures is cosplay and/or fetish related. Otaku and being public about your fetishes are socially stigmatized in Japan.

I'd really like to see Nozaki and Yukari's "date" but I doubt we'll get to that.

That's a strangely dark way to look at their relationship. Although now that I think about it there isn't any scene that can outright refutes this, except this page from chapter 31

Well, I compared how he treats Sakura to how he treats Mikorin or Wakamatsu. They pretty much never hang out or talk about anything not related to his manga.

Mostly because Nozaki's the kind of guy who seems to be passive on the hanging out front: most of his non-manga-related interactions are instigated by or at the invitation of someone else. Chiyo, for her part, seems content to work with him and has never really tried instigating anything else with Nozaki.

Most of the personalities in this universe seem to be a bit forced for the sake of comedy. You just sorta gotta accept it as part of premise. Sakura seems to be the only normal one in the entire universe. Nozaki is basically a manga creating robot.

I suppose the charitable answer would be that Nozaki has no idea how to deal with Chiyo so he acts that way around her. I would say he probably considers her a friend though. You could make an aspie/autism case also.

I wouldn't say that Nozaki is some scheming manipulator or anything, just that in his mind Sakura is primarily filed under assistant and occasionally clothing model. That's basically how she acts towards him as well. Every time she tries to see anything more in their relationship she basically gets shot down immediately.

That's a good point. Aside from the confession at the start, she hasn't really tried to improve her relationship with him by much. There's that little devil chapter, though, which shows he does care for her to an extent.

Weirdly enough the one person Nozaki seems to try to relate to outsde of manga is his editor...

Episode 7:

• There truly is nothing for Nozaki outside of work, since he's always falling back into work wherever he goes. ...Maybe he subconsciously doesn't think of it as work?
• Too muscular to cross-dress!
• Chiyo will surely treasure that sailor fuku.
• Like you're one to talk about self-confidence, Mikoto.
• Mikoto was so adamant about not posing. So much so that he's gonna be a model anyway! ...No, Chiyo won't bail you out.
• Pose like a bishoujo figurine!
• The Art Club was hijacked!
• ...No, Nozaki's not gonna bail you out of your next project.
