They're are directed by the same guy.
Any person starting with the anime will definitely scratch their head when exposed to the source material. While not exactly different, it's not the same either. You don't really see that it's a shoujo series, for example, and the manly narrator doesn't help either.
It's shoujo, you say? Interesting. I rarely watch shoujo, the last one being Kaichou wa Maid-sama.
Honestly, neither the anime nor (what I read of) the manga are particularly shoujo-ish. The manga is just serialized in a shoujo magazine
Oh, right, this has a thread.
Episode 1. In which there's stupid.
Awfully generic OP.
Who's that in the corner?
This is getting ridiculous.
Okay, bonus points for Jill cosplay.
Also got a laugh out of her face after she was shot in the chest.
Yeah, it's like C3, but worse. Not sure about the characters, but they kind of seem a little obnoxious. And the narrator doesn't work, and the pet is tacked on.
Despite how negative that sounds, I might follow it. I did like C3, and it's kind of a show I'd see myself liking, but the execution is lacking.
Check out my fanfiction!Okay, the MC is pretty damn awesome. "Winning is everything!"
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntEpisode 2:
- Mokarin had a surprise visitor. Aren't ya glad, Moka-*BLAM*
- Urara's so cute. Until she switches to Yandere Mode. Her deepened voice is especially great.
- Fear makes you stronger. And Momoka's totally a camouflage master.
- Moka- Er, I mean Momoka!- truly believes in the "eye for an eye" motto. Too bad she made a masochist out of Urara.
- Another surprise visitor. And your mom has specific/conveniently-timed tastes in girls.
- Yeah, Momoka totally enjoyed drilling natto into Maya's system. So much so that it broke her!note Man, Momoka's good at changing people. Results vary.
- That natto training was for nought. ...Actually, no it wasn't. Maya's beauty points up!
- Doing that commercial in Maya's place. Sticky karmic justice.
- Random cosplay into a epic shoot-out.
- "Fine, I surrender." *BLAM* "I guess it's a tie." *BLAM* Man, Momoka's pragmatic and cold!
- Kayo can talk. You just have to catch her at a right time.
I'm staying on this train, so entertain me more, Mokarin and pals! ...Ah, crap-*BLAM*

Episode 2. In which the anime picks its pace.
"There are glimpses of madness in her charisma." Don't you mean, "There are glimpses of charisma in her madness"?
She's that sensitive about her nickname?
She's a wee bit violent, that Urara.
She's a good accidental badass.
Okay, I'll admit, that's a much better take than the usual forgiveness. Well, not that it made much of a difference in the end. Or maybe it became worse.
She's a wee bit self-oblivious, that Maya.
Kind of impressive to work in both Cold-Blooded Torture and Cool and Unusual Punishment into one comedic scene.
I knew they were going to end the training like that.
You know, if it works that well, maybe the other two shouldn't complain so much and get into the training program as well.
Shoot them when their guard is down is a good strategy. Not a very sportsmanlike strategy, but an effective one. I'll also make a note that in C3, the desire to win above all else was the main flaw Yura had. Or developed. But then, here they're all deeply flawed. Oh so very deeply.
This episode was much better than the first one. The jokes fell into place, the characters didn't feel as obnoxious, and they're all insane. Made Miou seem a little more balanced, and Maya straight out normal. Still don't like the narrator.
Check out my fanfiction! It really is amazing how the episode made Miou seem more normal. Narrator's right to say Momoka fits in with the club.
The gunfight was kinda cool. Certainly better than I was expecting.
Why DO they have an ugly Psyduck following them around?
It's their pet apparently.
Shows like these have to have a mascot, after all. Whether it makes sense or not. Well, it's not like it makes less sense than the rest of it.
Check out my fanfiction!I think it's a platypus.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Isn't that what Psyduck is?
Check out my fanfiction!
Pretty much, except their mascot doesn't have psychic powers. At least I HOPE it doesn't. XD
He's certainly not an egg-laying mammal of action, yet.
Welp, this week's episode pretty much shows that it's never good to leave Mokarin with kids. XD
I like how most of the time she's the Straight Man... Only for the joke to usually continue and remind us that yes, she's a psycho too.
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntMight be overusing the narrator a wee bit this episode.
Show continues to be horrible people being horrible to each other for our amusement.
Episode 3:
- HOLY CRAP, IT'S CHUCK NORRIS! It's that bad, huh?
- Well, Sakura-sensei's most definitely one unreliable Sensei-chan. Well, at least Kayo has a cosplaying buddy now.
- Momoka doesn't hold back against anyone. At all. But being trigger happy won't put money on the table all the time.
- Momoka isn't bothered by frustrating things. Not at all. Unless there is interest to be paid back.
- Miou, you're being less helpful than more. And yes, you won all those prizes with your own money and skills, but you could've just given Roselia the bear. Oh well, you rectified that little problem...
- ...EXCEPT THAT'S NOT A TEDDIE!!
- That's one big bad crow.
- One unusual and very conveniently-timed Rube Goldberg Device, coming right up!
- Bath time for everyone. Yes, even the bear and the Rube Goldberg Device.

So, is cosplaying offically a superpower in this show?
- Chuck Norris!
- Exterminating hornets with guns. Rule of Badass.
- How did it burn down?? It was made of cement bricks and metal!
- Even the elementary school kids carry guns. I didn't know this took place in Texas!
- Oh, the club is back to exactly how it was before.
- Somebody really needs to make a sadistic parody youtube video of Momoka killing people...
- That forest is teeming with all kinds of wildlife.
- Hahaha! She took everything! What a meanie!
- Sharing a bath with all the animals in the forest, that's awesome. At least the crow is getting along with Platty and the bear forgives them now.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Did Chuck Norris have his fly open?
Totally C3-bu's complete opposite, this show. I don't think there will be any high drama here(like in C3-bu's anime version). Only comedy.
The cast's okay but... C3-bu's had this certain charm around them that makes me like them more.
The narrator's hit and miss.
However, there's one thing I definitely hate. That darn duck. It's just...there, and I agree with Momo in thinking that it's ugly. Hey, I've seen my fair share of ugly mascots, but I'm not feeling this one. At all.
Let's lock and load and roll-out.
