Also on another note, my dad had to help out someone in our Shanghai hotel due to a seizure. As far as I know, the person had been transported to hospital.

It's fine if you guys have personal stuff going on that takes priority over this RP, I just wanna check on things and make sure this RP isn't 'dead' per say.

Alright, I'll be re-editing this post with a massive wall of spoilers in a moment.

Done:

In the future of 2021, Aliens known as the Sxian made contact with Earth. Making friends with each other as they shared their resources and a colony of humans was sent to their planet to live on.

Soon enough human and alien interaction happened and they became allowed to marry and even breed. The Sxian are known to have special powers of all sorts (Their exact biology and source of power is unknown) but claimed that a half breed child with powers was 90% unlikely, but this was all simply lies that was spread as truth by many.

Soon enough a secret corporation (made by the government to deal with alien issues) had kidnapped multiple child "half-breeds" to use for their own means as weapons and soldiers. 6 half breeds had managed to escape captivity and after some struggles, exposed the entire conspiracy to both planets. In the fallout to the Sxian discovering of the half-breed experiments. The alien government placed blame sorely on the humans and Earth, despite it being made explicitly clear to them that members of their own kind were involved too.

As a result they began a systematic invasion of Earth. Taking over multiple cities and countries. They also began developing a cyberspace network to keep all humans in, so that they would be under control. To experiment this, they recreated an Earthly city named Echo City on their own planet and kidnapped multiple humans as test subjects.

The Zero Network was made in the city as a prototype (hence the name 'Zero') to the main cyberspace network, using the inhabitants of the city as lab rats. Though the current version of the Zero Network employs virtual reality, the update making use of augmented reality is the end goal for the prototype's success. Having wiped their minds, most humans believe they are on Earth where it is the year 3030 and technology has advanced massively. In reality the year was actually 2030, nearly a decade after the first contact with the Sxian.

The city as per the Sxian design, has been made to match a stereotypical cyberpunk world. Filled with a corrupt government, rebel groups, humans against cybernetic enhancements etc. In reality all the figureheads leading these are Sxian members too, trying to keep the illusion real.

To keep people from leaving the city, the government (Sxian members disguised as humans) created rumours of life outside the city. Spreading claims of horrible situations in neighbouring cities/countries claiming facts of slavery, massacres, wars etc. No one is allowed to leave the city but people are allowed to arrive into it, though in reality the newcomers to the city are just new test subjects whose memories have been replaced shortly before arriving.

The main plot I was setting up for involved the residents of the city being rescued by the very same halfbreeds who exposed the conspiracy in the first place. They had sent one of their own into the city undercover to begin to taking the place apart and expose everything that was being done by the Sxian. This was the person who was interacting with Butch lately in the plot.

The Saviour was a programmer for the government who found out about the plans to expand the Zero Network into a wider country/world but never found out about the aliens or anything else. After these reveals were made, I intended on any of the surviving characters to find their way into one of the surviving cities on Earth where the remaining Humans and Sxian (who were against their kind's invasion) were trying to live together in peace. From there you guys would be free to continue whatever plot threads were still being had. Nothing about your character's pasts was faked or wiped by the Sxian except the matter in which they arrived into the city.
