Kaluma Town, Princess Group

The man bowed to the princess. "Well, anyone who is kind enough to give an old beggar on the street such alms is one I count as a friend." smiled and turned to Saya

"Don't worry, I will spend the gift you gave me wisely. So let us go find a fitting place to eat, shall I lead the way?"

Kaluma Town, Food Stalls

Afar sighed after Adrianna turned to a defensive position. "I'd rather we don't fight and make draw attention towards us kid. So let us keep calm, alright?"

After saying that, he folded his arms, widening the distance between his feet in a more serious posture.

"I'm not going to get you by talking about your age am I? Well then, how about we negotiate. If you'll go with me and Alicia. With our resources, I will agree buy anything that you'll ask for, as long as I don't see your request as costing us too much."

Kaluma Town, Mercenary

The women lead Morgan through a rather long way, the route seemed to be getting them to high ground in the town, in which the houses seemed to be getting much more well maintained, solidly built, and most noticeably much bigger than the sections below them. The fashion of the people walking by seemed to very much change as they entered the higher area, with more color to their clothes and more decoration to them. As well as a more formal posture and walk.

Soon enough they got to the very, very big garden composed of many exotic plants, rare and from all across the world seemed to grow there. Tended by various number of gardeners and maids. Finally they saw the entrance of the tall mansion, the door, menancing brown, holding a golden doorknob in the shape of a wolf's head. She seemed to motion him to go to the left of the door through pavement, until they got to an entire different side of the house. She finally got near the wall that had a few windows positioned near "The master would rather his family not know about... Some of the people he sees. And he can't really go outside the mansion at the moment. So we have to see him privately" She explained the situation before knocking on the window a 6 times with a stop after every even-numbered knock.

Afterwards the window was pulled upwards by and in the room was the puller, a young dashing lean man, about 19 years old. With blonde long hair, fair skin and black eyes. He smiled, looking at the woman. "Hello Aveline, I see you found someone to deal with our problem." He turned his head towards Morgan.

"Here, come inside and I'll explain to you the deal." He said as he stepped backwards. Allowing people to enter through the window, Aveline held its lower edge and jumped through it and to the room. Gesturing to the mercenary to do the same. If he'll do it, inside the room he could see that it was surprisingly modest room, only one painting in its walls for a decoration in the room, its bed was rather plain if not for its strong red coloring, it seemed to have two doors, one forward of the window and one left of it.

"A countryman with a tale to say, madam" says Saya, smiling a bit at the princess as if she was an old friend "And no need, my good man. I already see an inn which looks promising"

Thus says Saya, pointing at a barely visible place some blocks away. Still, it got her attention and more importantly... if they were going to eat and drink it better be a place she chose. While the old man seemed nice enough, he was an unknown factor and they were a hunted group... better be safe than sorry.

Alicia

"An old tale?" Alicia blinked while squinting hard. Any image that she could have had has 'royalty' had completely vanished. The aura of regality was almost there in the conversation with Afar before, but it was more with just an act. If she wanted to blend in, she'd need to be her tomboy self. "I don't get it, but I guess you can have fun with dinner if you want," Alicia honeslty didn't know if she could have Saya trusting this 'beggar' that just appeared to them out of nowhere. "Hey!" Alicia yelled over to Afar who was still busy trying to convince the Aether Gate rep not to goo off on her own. "Come over here for a sec!"

Kaluma Town — In Afar's Vision

A tall, tanned man walked amongst the crowd of Kaluma. His eyes grazed over the heads of each individual that passed. Until — in that moment — he spotted him. An old friend, a comrade ... and now an enemy. The large bodied man started making his way toward Afar with a brisk pace.

"Very well, it's not often one has to climb through a window." Morgan said to himself and shrugged before he agilely jumped inside.

After looking around in the room he turned back to his employer "So, I heard you had a job for a man like me?"

"That...that sir is a very very! I say very, underhanded tactic and I'll have you know that it will work perfectly on me." saying that Adrinna calmed down and stood a little bit closer to Afar. The promise was too good to pass up. But when the princess came calling she leaned around Afar and looked at her wondering what she wanted the big lug for.

Princess Group: Alicia Adrianna and Afar

"Good. Then let's go shall we?" Afar sighed in slight relief. "What is-"Afar tried to say to Alicia before he spotted one of his fellow Devas in the distance. His eyes widened and he ran to towards the princess. Putting himself between her and his old comrade. He grabbed his sword by the sheathe.

"Don't tell me I have to worry about fighting you, old friend." He said as glared at him angrily.

Saya

"It seems we have some trouble, shall we wait for your group of friends?" He said with a small smile as he stood in place patiently.

Morgan

"Let's get straight to the point then. See there's this douchebag in my favorite inn in Kaluma. Guy's a huge whiny ass and he always flaunts his status there. Problem is he knows me. And if he knows I go there he's more than likely to tell my parents and that will be a hell lot of trouble.I want you to go there. Blend in the crowd so he won't suspect me and scare him so much he'll piss his pants and never go there again. Think you can do that?"

Alicia & Shemesh —- With Afar, Adrinna

"There is—" Alicia looked in the direction that Afar was no facing. She recognized those chizeled features and rough build. That was one of the Devas — to be more exact — the Deva of the Sun. "Shemesh?!" she pulled back while doing her best not to make a scene. If she were to draw her sword here, her cover may as well be blown. Doesn't change the fact that Shemesh himself could blow her cover if he wanted to.

"No, no." the man waves his hand, "Not here to fight. Just here checking up on an old friend of mine in Kaluma," he put a hand through his hair while sighing. "Seems like you guys took the long way here," Shemesh crossed his arms. "You guys are civilized folk, why don't you look like it?" must be that he's commenting on all the dirt and stench he could smell coming from the Princess' Group. "And no, I'm not here to blow your cover or anything. I'm off-duty so to speak... but it's good to see that you guys are alive and well."

Saya for her part decided to keep silent. Their cover was mostly on a very thin line... and while she had quite a few things to say to those who prepared the coup on which she participated, it would most certainly only make things worse. So she contented herself with letting her hand casually fall towards her blade in preparation.

Kaluma Town, Outskirts

A lone man walked the road, a large coat on his shoulders befitting his broad and muscled frame. His lips were quirked into a smile of a winner.

He would recognize the stench of Fauleria's spawn from miles away.

He's been trailing the princess - no, new queen - for a good while now like a bloodhound tracks the game in the woods. At first he had difficulties with finding this trace, but once he latched to it he followed her and her unlikely party without much difficulty.

"You're getting way too excited again, Morint." His Union Spirit, a skeletal figure clad in remains of once-angelic armor pointed out his giddiness with a sigh.

"Now is a good reason though." He responded, grinning and adjusting the hood strapped to his coat he used to conceal his face. Even though it's been fifteen years since his disappearance, his face was still recognizable amongst folk of Velspa. "That runt is somewhere in this town... can't wait to meet her."

"You do realize she holds no blame for your coma?"

"She, however, is a continuation of Fauleria's bloodline. Who's to say she won't grow into another Tyrant Queen?"

"The war is over, Morint. Vaquis has nothing that Velspa is interested in taking from them."

"Who's to say another one won't emerge in a couple years? My folk had suffered enough. It's better to prevent than to cure, Solaris." The skeletal Union Spirit said nothing in response.

Morint Vickers knew where to go. Without further ado he directed his steps towards where Alicia Velspa Delphinia stood, the blade ready to plunge into her flesh at the moment's notice.

I assume he'll reach their destination by the next turn of posts. ^_^;

Afar's grip on the sheathe was lost, as he sighed in relief and showed a narrow grin. "Well, it's good to see you haven't changed a bit, I was afraid you forgot everything that we worked for in the past."

"Though this leaves me questioning..." The smile on his face was lost and a serious expression showed. "If you haven't changed, why in the name of hell are you participating in this scheme?"

The deva glared at his friend, peering straight into his eyes.

Afella — with Shemesh, Afar and the rest

Just like that, a blue-haired woman wearing a conservative dress appeared at Shemesh's shoulder. Quite literally, too; only a few rebellious locks of hair reached above it, and the crown of her head was well underneath it.
“Master Deva,” she told Shemesh quietly, “I have an urgent missive.”
A sheaf of paper appeared out of the woman's pocket and was shoved into Shemesh's hand; meanwhile, she took a quick look around.

Kaluma Town

A sharply dressed man wheels through the streets of the town, thinking aloud to himself. At a distance, he could, conceivably, have been speaking to the bull spirit that plodded along beside him, but there was little indication that he was at the rate he was speaking.

"—Which is to say, inconspicuous," he rambled, "An abode of which that will not attract too much attention. One not so derelict that the only thing preventing it from being deemed inhospitable is bribery, and not one so posh that it charges more gald than it needs to. Which is to say, lower middle class. Identity unidentiification is a desirable trait of a potential inn as well, logically speaking. So therefore, an unquestioning, inconspicuous inn must be their aims, Boros. This is where we would be most likely to meet her and her potential entourage, of which I have previously discussed with you had you already forgotten. Have I made myself clear?"

The bull spirit's face was blank, the typical smile his mouth formed had become agape. He just wanted a more brief answer, not the fifty page essay version. "Uhhh," he mumbled, "...Yep! Completely and totally, Lex!" Technically a lie, as most of what he said just flew over his head, but he understood that they were on the lookout for a "not too shabby and not too question-y" inn. Boros turned his head to Alexander and gave him an affirmatory wink.

In the few seconds his attention was turned away from what was in front of him, he wound up bumping into Saya. "Whoops!"

Alicia & Shemesh

Shemesh looked at Afar with narrowed eyes, "What did we work for in the past?" he asked himself that question more so than Afar. "It makes me wonder, my friend..." he laughed a little bit. "The primary I did nothing against the tide was because it was simply too strong. It carried me with it. I don't agree with it, no, but I would much rather live then be hunted down by the eight other Devas. We know their cruelty much better than anyone," Shemesh admitted while looking at his shoulder where his aide had appeared.

"Great," he rolled his eyes while taking the letter. If it was urgent, it wasn't going to be anything good. While he set his eyes upon the paper, Alicia walked closer to Afar while making sure her hand was ready to take up arms.

"Afar," she whispered. "What are we going to do? If Shemesh really wants to cause a commotion, he can..." the Princess' said while focusing her eyes on the newly appeared aide of the Sun Deva. Things didn't look like they were going to pan well for the Princess Group.

That was until she caught view of another. This feeling - it was just like when Saya attacked her a few days ago. The intent to murder, to kill... another assassin? Alicia shifted her eyes around the area until one figure stod out. A man with green armor, a long cape and brown hair. A man with the power AND desire to kill. This time she tapped on Afar's shoulder to grab his attention while pointing in the direction of the approaching Morint. "I think we have to leave. As in, right now," she spoke loud enough for him to hear. Now really wasn't the time she wanted to have another assassination attempt.

Afella — with Shemesh and the rest

Alicia would find that the aide had her head lowered demurely.
Shemesh's orders were from the Daevan King himself. They were short and to the point — he was to let his aide de camp accompany the runaway princess. What's more, he wasn't to make any fuss about it.
That said, Afella was actually quite attentive, and she didn't miss Alicia grabbing Afar's shoulder. Quietly, her hands snapped to her rapier, readying in its scabbard.

"Well... I don't usually deal with humans, my specialty is monsters after all... But I need this job, very well, I twill throw this guy out of whatever place you'd want him to be thrown out of." All the threats and killing intents floating around... and suddenly Saya was bumped into by someone else she didn't know. Recovering her balance, hand on her sheathed blade she assesses the man and then says "Don't worry, just look where you're walking and go along"

Whatever may happen next, she was keeping next to Alicia and doing her best to protect her. She still didn't know whenever she was a liar or not.

Kaluma Town, Princess Group

"I didn't expect you to have an aide Shemesh, especially not someone like this. I thought you were done with Daevan politics." Afar said with a risen eyebrow before being prodded by the princess. He took sight of Morint, as fast as he could surveyed the nearby area, laying his eyes to wherever he found a place where they could blow their cover.

"All of you, quickly, run towards the alley. It's the only place to safely fight here." He said as he pointed towards a nearby alley, seemingly void of any soul. Waiting for everyone to get a head start before starting to run there himself as a last in the line. Once deep in it drawing his sword to be ready for attacks.

Kaluma Town, Morgan.

"Of course, I've got plenty to pay you, here's a 500 gald for the start." He pointed towards a closed bag obviously filled with coins, gesturing for Morgan to take it.

"We'll decide on the rest afterwards. Depending on how well you did the job. The minimum full payment for doing this is 5000 Gald, but that's only if the job was done poorly. I can pay much more if you do it well."

The young man grabbed a paper from his desk and gave it to the mercenary, who will probably notice that this is a map, with the words "Kaluma Town Map" written above. On it there were names of locations and streets as well as sections, and a small spot highlighted in the area titled "Lower Quarter". "You see the red highlight? That's where the inn is. Aveline will guide you out of the mansion, but from there you go on your own. Are you up for the job?"

Morgans eyes were briefly opened wide when he heard the reward for such a simple job and he was ready to do a spit-take but he managed to contain himself. Then with a grin on his face he nodded "How could i say no?! I think I'll be done by the afternoon if things go correctly."

Kaluma Town

"Why the rush, dear lady?" Morint asked with a devilish grin, folding his arms as he stared down Alicia. Yes, that was definitely her. Almost like the Tyrant Queen he remembered from fifteen years earlier, just a bit younger.

Her group wasn't something he was concerned with, even though the Daevan-looking man by her side appeared a formidable warrior. No, it was the other two. Another two Daevans, clearly not affiliated with the group. They would almost certainly get in his way, seeing as they didn't appear to be here to fight.

I am no thug to assault you like that, in the open. If anything, I am requesting a duel between you, the Velspan and my humble self, the Vaquisan. A duel to sate my revenge and to finish the accursed story your late mother began fifteen years ago. Do you recognize me, per chance? Or were Velspans taught to forget their bane from the War of Succession?" He continued speaking, excuding confidence and just barely containing his excitement and bloodlust. Finally, he has her by the ropes! The prospect of vanquishing Delphinia bloodline was so close... he had to grasp it and hold it firmly, to not let go!

Solaris kept silent, ready to bail Morint out of a sticky situation like this yet again.

Alexander looked at Boros and pushed his glasses up again. "I have reminded you several times to look ahead while you walk, Boros," he chided the bull, "Be thankful this lady is easily forgiving." Boros twisted his head a bit and grimaced, feeling a bit guilty about it. Just as Alexander was about to continue rolling away, he caught wind of the conversation being held in front of him and the person being addressed.

For someone who had just got on a bull's grill for being unobservant, he was quite the guilty party here as well. Pulling his train of thought back into his head, he began processing what stood before him and slowly rolled back from the scene with Boros confusingly following suit.

"Shemesh Korenet. Deva of the Sun. ...Former Deva? Look into what has become of the system of power later. Recent uprising would imply that all Devas be present in capital to straighten affairs. Recent observations would imply this to be untrue. What business does he have? Context clues." His eyes flitted to Morint as he started speaking. "Late mother... Fifteen years ago... War of succession..." He then looked to Saya as she spoke. "Legacy... Head claiming... Her life."

Having backed away from the immediate vicinity of the group, he patted Boros and whispered to him, "I do believe we have located the princess." Boros' eyes comically bulged and his jaw dropped in surprise, amusingly enough he kept his own voice down as well, "Already!? That was so quick!!" Alexander had to agree the coincidence was just a bit too convenient, but he didn't mind since they had results. "Be prepared to act," he whispered to the bull.

Kaluma Town – Princess Group

Afar rapidly blinked in confusion, he has never heard of this "Bane of Velspians" before in his life, not as a soldier in the war and not after.

"I have no idea who you are, so I doubt Alicia does. Are you sure you have as much of a reputation as you claim?" He asked, genuinely bewildered by the Dread Knight.

Kaluma Town – Morgan.

"Alright then. Aveline, lead our mercenary to the mansion gate will you?"

The woman then gestured to Morgan to follow her, she jumped through the window and waited for him to do the same. Once he does the agent will walk the same way they went, through the garden and outside the mansion to the high district.

"From here you'll have to navigate yourself with the map my lord gave you. You probably shouldn't ask for direction before getting out of the high district. The people in this part of the city are usually stuffy, to say the least. Just go to whatever way goes down to get out of here."

Out of the mansion territory, Morgan would see a well maintained street, with barely a speck of dust on it. People in fancy, decorated carriages, suits and expensive clothes everywhere to be found. The high merchantry was not really a lot of people, considering the capital city. But it certainly was expansive. Seeing the amount of area the few people in it made it their own. The paved way down would take a long time it seemed, Morgan might remember that they took a few shortcuts along the way to get through the area faster.

Princess Group

The peaceful town just became a hell hole for the Princess. She wanted to get away and think about what to do, not get caught up in another battle. The tomboy Alicia loved fighting, yeah, but it was much different when there was pressure from all sides. Her hand rested on the hilt of her sword. If she had to, she was ready to fight...! That is until Afar and Saya stepped forward to protect her. Saya with a more 'direct' approach and Afar with a more dismissive one. "Oh," she blinked a few times while looking at the Dread Knight from Afar's side. "I don't know what you're talking about," she scratched her head. "Sorry!" That was it, act pleading!

Shemesh looked up at Afella with narrowed eyes, a facial expression to tell her to SETTLE down. The Deva of the Sun sighed while balling up the paper then burning it with a 'surge' of a Fire Arte through his finger tips. The ridiculous oddity of it all. Sending his aide with the Princess to keep tabs? Wasn't that going to be fishy? "As a friend and comrade, Afar, I'll be giving you my aide," he looked at Afella, Afar, then turned his eyes on the Dread Knight. "Then as another gift, I can take care of this man here," Shemesh started to walk forward, past Afar, to confront the awakened, self-proclaimed 'hero'.

Kaluma

"Then your late mother did an excellent job at erasing every single memory left of me." He wasn't sure what he was expecting. Solaris told him many times that hardly anyone is going to recognize him. Not only the complete information erasure by hand of Fauleria took place, it was still a period of fifteen years. People change, he said.

"No matter. I shall reclaim what's mine in due time." He had to cool down. He was still way out of shape to engage so many enemies at once. To make matters worse that Daevan man who wasn't with their group decided to play a hero and stand in his way. "Go then. Leave this city and remember the name of Morint Vickers well, Queen Alicia. I will find you." Then he turned towards Shemesh, unsheathing his sword. A heavy blade that no ordinary man would wield one-handed, The Dread Knight held with no difficulty. "As for you, I accept your challenge! Draw your weapon!"
