That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Come on. This isn't real. It can't be. Someone forgot it wasn't April.
Well. I'd be lying if I said I'm not excited to combo enoes to death as a badass Avatar. I've yet to play a Platinum (or Clover) action game that wasn't a blast to play.
Now, though, the question is whether Avatar's popularity can overcome Platinum's sales curse.
I have a message from another time...WHAT.
THIS IS A DREAM COME TRUE.
For Those who Seek the Thrill of Death: A Dramatic SMT3 Hard PlaythroughI have been grinning for the past hour nonstop now.

1) This made me realize that I really need to finish watching Book 2. I stopped watching after Varrick was revealed to be a shady bastard and Korra woke up on an island with amnesia. I didn't even know that it had completed and that a third book was on the way.
2) As excited as I am for this, I hope people aren't expecting Platinum to put this on the same scale as say, Bayonetta, Wonderful 101, and Metal Gear Rising (although I think it might match Rising's scale overall). Still, I expect the game to have Plat's signature style and hope they aren't held back to much while developing the game, otherwise, this could backfire.

And 3DS version will be different developer and apparently a strategy game. Weird
I have a bad feeling about this. Hopefully it's good, but digital only and Activision?!
Edit: What's the trope? The Problem with Licensed Games?

I trust Platinum. I have high hopes.

but HOW?I hope they get the tone right - Platinum Games stuff is amazing, but I don't think their usual musical styling would fit the Avatar verse very well.
Kamiya was able to do stuff other than crazy metal in the Clover days, so I'm confident he can pull it off here.
Or maybe they could just use music from Korra? Or get Korra's music team on the game?
I have a message from another time...Who knows, it may, it may not. We might get a new RULES OF NATURE! kind of song if we are lucky.
Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2I just hope that Platinum isn't overextending themselves. Counting the Bayo 1 port, they've got 4 games in development at the same time, and I'm not sure they can handle making so many games at once.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.Or this. Extra points for relevance to ya, though.
but HOW?If you have a Facebook account, you can go over to the Legend of Korra page and vote for the cover of the game, out of 3 possible designs.
They didn't have a usual music styling when they were Clover and they don't now. Their music fits the tone of the games they're making.
x4 The Bayo 1 port is being handled by another company that they've worked with before.

Umbran Climax◊I get the impression that this may be handled by the B or C Team, with everyone else either finishing up Bayonetta 2 or working on Scalebound, including Kamiya. However, I still have REALLY high hopes for this game. Platinum Games always make quality products. It'll likely be like Scott Pilgrim The Game. Will feel kinda rushed and not as crazy fun as it could have been, but still an absolute blast.
A corpse should be left well enough alone...Not getting my hopes up just yet. Avatar games haven't been all that great in the past. Platinum's also restricted with how much violence can be in the game - on top of that, its a "midquel", or a prequel to Book 3.
So unless the makers of Korra planned this early, this is going to be a one-off side story, or small in the grand scheme of things. Oppositely, am I going to have to play TLOK-PS 4 to understand something in Book 3? I'd hate that.
I've got a bad feeling about this game. Need to see some gameplay in motion first.
Still, Legend of Korra is ripe for third-person action/bending. I could see a combination of Vanquish, God Hand, and Bayonetta. Korra's got range, high-speed elemental transportation, flight, multiple elemental special moves, and a slew of mechanical enemies.

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).
Yes, really.
Not sure what to make of this honestly.
