"Well, I may not understand 'family', or 'vengeance', but what I do understand are monsters. Monsters are things made by people, sometimes of people, because of silly things like hate or fear. That's why I teach kids that even the things that scare you and make you angry can turn out to be fun and happy. Like me!" Grimm tilted his head to the side and observed Samson with an expression that could almost be called sad. "But kid, you keep on like this, and you'll turn yourself into a monster. 'The road to hell is paved with good intentions,' so they say. You humans just come up with the best inspirational quotes!" He chuckled, then shook his head. "Shame you don't listen to each other enough."

What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget?

Eyebrow raised quizzically, Samson stretches his back as he teleports to the other side of the teacher. Three marble sized spheres of water swirling in the palm of his right hand, Samson's speech becomes slightly manic. "Monsters are the result of unfocused emotions reaching extremes. Lets think of it this way. Someone steals from you, naturally making you hate them. There's nothing wrong for focusing all that hate on them. That hate reaching innocent parties would be wrong however."

Teleporting to the side of the teacher, Samson runs a hand through his hair as a grin forms on his face. "Though I learned long ago what people call 'good' and 'evil' are simply pretty words. Those that sin against others must suffer, there's no heroism in letting monsters run free."

"Never mind how words like 'monster', 'sin', 'heroism' and 'innocent' lose their entire context when good and evil go out the window" Gerald growled out sarcastically, "We're not here to teach you to take vengeance in a precise manner."

Even though the fight was officially over, Mr.Waller's mutations hadn't yet settled; he sensed another outburst in his gut. And that's all it took.

"We're here to help you use those powers of yours constructively, so that vengance is lower on your priority list. You know, those emotional extremes you were talking about?"

Heather sighed, and crawled back up her tree, flopping herself onto her swing. She was so deep in her thoughts, not realising how sad she was, that she didn't realise that she and the tree were soon covered by a curtain of vines and flowers. The curtail contined to grow down and outwards, and by the time she realised, it was too late.

Van landed with ease in an open spot near the lake area, his feet stopping him from crashing. In front of him was a short way, clear of trees. From what the boy saw from the skies, it led toward the lake while the path on his back led to the school fences. "Alright", the boy looked at the landscape, then started walking, "better get moving".

He hadn't seen a single soul on his way; aside from hearing the sounds of birds and insects that lived in the forested area, nothing else called his attention... Until he heard footsteps. Loud footsteps. And they ressonated on the ground as whatever was causing it approached. "Wha?". Van turned back and saw a golem made of metal. On his side was a man with silver hair.

He heard his reprimandal and folded his arms. "Restricted? I heard no such a thing from anyone. There are no signs warning about it as well. Also, you don't need to worry about me, mister. I know how to swim".

Van's curiousity about the man and the creature on his size rose. "Um, are you a hermit? Living around here?"

Wylan thought about at he had seen back there, and the teachers and students who seemed to so detest the idea of a fight. He wondered why - they were in the end being trained to fight, and what meaning was there in a fight if you did not end up in some kind of danger?

Ein looked down at the focused young man and asked, "So, I suppose we should be heading for the dorms?"

"Fine..." Woe noted that Wylan sounded distressed when saying that.

"Are you were disappointed that the fight did not finish? You and me both, my little friend. Talk about wet blankets." Ein had no doubt in his mind those people would probably spend time whining at parties about people jumping on couches.

Wylan nodded, and then looked up at the ceiling as they walked, "It just doesn't seem clean to intervene in someone else's fight. Even if we meet my father here, don't go running in if I find myself in too deep against him."

If he finds himself in too deep, I don't know if I can keep that promise. Woe simply shook his head and shrugged his shoulders, "Oh very well, I suppose I will need to drag your corpse out, then."

Wylan slightly frowned at that - with the technique he had now, he did not think he would have so much difficulty against his father.

However, back with the others, a figure appeared, almost as if stopping some form of flash step just nearby there. He had found Samson entirely too interesting for him to allow these monumental bores to spoil his plans. In many ways he looked like an older version of Wylan, which made sense, given that Graven Strahd was Wylan's father.

He approached Mr. Waller and stated, "If you would excuse me, I will be taking care of the issue of Samson's fight. Please return to your other duties." And do not make me strike you down.

He expertly concealed his disdain for his fellow teacher for stopping a fight which could well have shown what Samson was capable of.

As one of the teachers here, Graven interpreted his duty to help the students grow as "help the students grow stronger in ways you see fit."

Looking from the newcomer, to Walrus, and finally the encroaching mass of vines Samson lightly chuckled for a few seconds. "If you don't mind me saying, but the girl who clearly has no control over her powers probably should be a much higher priority than a psychopathic liar like me." Teleporting away from the vines but closer to the newcomer, Samson casually puts his arms up as if surrendering before speaking "Since I've been a bad little boy, what with politely asking someone to a mock battle, what kind of punishment am I looking at? I hope its not to go off-campus with a cute girl, that would simply be unbearable for me."

***

Simply raising his right eyebrow, Cornelius let loose a short sigh. Glaring pointedly with his right eye, having a gold iris with a blue cross or plus shaped pupil, he speaks with the same tone. "Oh I don't doubt you can swim, I doubt your ability to not drown others and your probable inability to save drowners. Even written on a piece of paper informing us teachers that all students have those flaws." Tilting his head side to side with audible cracking sounds, Cornelius shifts his left leg forward some as he withdraws a piece of paper and a pen. Writing down some quick notes, he speaks slightly more annoyed.

"Clearly you didn't attend the gathering, which shows how little that wolf can pay attention. Frankly someone more precise and focused needs to take the job." Sighing once more, Cornelius draws back his leg as he slides his hands into his pockets. "Like I mentioned, I'm a teacher. Specifically about magically constructed beings like my golem here, Humonculi and NOMEs. I live near the lake because I often experiment, meaning dangerous explosions and the occasional man-eating abomination as the result of something gone horribly wrong. Since I'm already living near the lake for everyone's safety I also make sure nits like you don't go around breaking safety regulations and rules. Resurrection isn't easy after all."

Scratching the back of his head with his right hand, he speaks in a more casual tone "By the way, my golem" briefly pointing at it with right before scratching again "will restrain you if you try anything stupid like touch the lake. There are things in there that'll devour you before you can even react. Seen a student get dragged down once, their femur was the only thing left."

Graven looked around at the vines and gave a long sigh, "Honestly, these things count as a threat to you people? Obviously, this Academy's standards have been lowered if such banal effort is sufficient to be deemed intimidating."

He turned around, assuming an odd, dance-like form, and a large spectre appeared behind him, resembling a large, blue four faced humanoid, each face smirking evilly, eyes bright red. The figure had a huge number of arms, each one holding a sword that flickered brightly.

A waste of Asura's strength...

In a flash of sword-play, the vines were eviscerated, the plant-life conjured by Hannah ripped to shreds that seemed to momentarily float in the air...and a single line appeared on the girl's face, which quickly released a small amount of blood.

Graven growled, "That cut on your face is your reward for wasting my time." With that, he started to walk off, wondering what anyone would think of this. He was not about to let them stagnate, that was for sure.

Heather gasped in pain. Her vines had been cut, and she fell out of the tree, crumpled up in pain. Blood oozed out of her cheek, warm against her clammy skin. "What was that for, you freak?!" She stood up, still hunched over in pain, cuts and brusies covering her body, her eyes glowing white. "It's not like I have a fucking choice about this!"

For the time he's been here, Samson didn't really think anyone he met was an actual threat to him should he be prepared. Regeneration was simply a fancy death delaying trick, and he was even about to stop the girl himself if no else was going to try. Then he saw the newcomer summon either a humonculus or a Psyche, a being created and materialized by the mind. Either one was impressive due to the skill required, but watching its one display of power made it very clear how dangerous it was. This was the point his arms dropped to his sides as a expression of faint terror was etched onto his face. The girl's yell broke Samson out of his shock, and he glanced down to see his right hand twitching as if it thought his sheathed sword was in its reach. For perhaps the first time in his life, he was legitimately afraid of something.

Balling his right hand into a fist Samson assumed acting nonchalant and even began whistling a jaunty little tune as if he took nothing seriously. Beginning to walk over to the girl, he spoke casually "Well, if someone didn't stop you there would probably be dead corpses in the end." Vanishing to reappear bent down on his legs with his right hand hovering over the cut on her cheek the blood started to freeze in place. "Besides, nobody will give you pity if you antagonize the god who deliberately spared you even though killing you would of been simpler." Standing up with right hand outstretched to help her up if she chose, Samson wondered what she would of thought of this.

It was moments like these where Gerald questioned whether the entire concept of of an academy for super-powered youth. That, and whether the upper-managment even bothered doing background checks on the teachers. Or psychological exams.

"Apparently, Graven, my duty's aren't quite over", he muttered with a low growl. The atmosphere of immediate danger still gripped him; he was still undergoing changes. He could feel himself getting heavier, his now clawed feet begining to tear through his boots. Another set of claws began to replace his fingernails, which had already blackened alongside his hide. For all the people gesturing that the violence was over, he didn't feel as if he'd cool down for a while.

The moderator walked over to Heather, appreciating Samson's attempt to help her up.. "I'll deal with him later,", he said, "Do you feel like you need to visit the infirmary?"

Heather took Samson's hand and stood up, limping slightly. "Yes please. I think my arm's broken..." Her left arm flopped down at an unnatural angle, bent backwards at the elbow. Looking slightly guilty, she looked at the moderator. "Sorry about all this. Wasn't normally this bad."

Shitshitshitshit it hurts it fucking hurts... how the fuck did it get broken shit shit...

Graven did not give the appearance of caring, and simply started to walk off, deciding not to give Cornelius the satisfaction of a debate or some such refuting his absurd claim of the week. The girl's cursing did not really do much of anything, and he swore, his dead mother had cursed at him worse than that when she was alive. With that, the apparently young man once again flash stepped off, deciding there was absolutely nothing here to do - he knew what to do further in regards to Samson, but he could not exactly do so with that overbearing bore of a giant looking down at him the whole while.

As he returned to his "lounge", he saw six people waiting for him, all of them wearing red hoods, and wearing black robes besides. Yes, it did seem like there might be a time for this soon, and Graven wondered, briefly, if his son was prepared for it.

"Well then, my Oracion Seis...let us commence our meeting."

Wylan soon enough arrived, running toward the scene that had occurred. He recognized the odd magical current in the air - this was the same sensation he got at home, when Graven demonstrated his power. The Asura - Graven's technique he had perfected, the technique he, as Wylan's father, wanted Wylan himself to learn.

Ein Woe held off of returning, simply watching the events from afar. It seemed things were getting interesting. That girl was exposed to Asura.

And she lived. Graven must be getting soft.

Wylan looked around, but remained silent for the time. He looked sullen.

Suzy was nowhere to be seen at the huge clusterfuck with Asura. She instead opted to escape to the girl's restroom, hiding in a stall. "{this was a bad idea why did you send me here mom is this a punishment i'm sorry i'm sorry i hate you i hate you i love you i love you take me back please}" was all she thought about.

Heather examined her left arm, biting down on her lip to avoid screaming in pain. She bent it back so that is bent inwards at the elbow, and cradled it against her chest. It was hot and swollen, and felt like a bad break. "Shit, it's my writing hand, too..." she said aloud to no one in particular. She slowly began to limp her way to the medical room, hoping that it was a quick fix.

You idiot, Heather, you idiot.

Shut up, not my fault.

It never is your fucking fault.

With one good deed done for today, Samson noticed bodyguard-sama's pet had arrived. Whistling once again as he approaches him a little, Samson speaks with fake(?) curiosity "So what about god summoning a magical entity attracted your attention? It was the absolute blueness of its face right?" Right hand reaching over his shoulder to scratch his back, he spoke much more curiously "Why isn't bodyguard-sama following you around? Did ya get into a spat about off-campus matters?"

Wylan took up a slightly more defensive stance, not liking how this guy was talking. "No, I didn't have a spat with Ein..."

He then looked around the field, and decided to explain a little, "That guy that destroyed those plants...he was my father, Graven."

Given how Wylan was a teenager and Graven looked just about 25, he knew there would be some laughing or jokes made. And he knew how he handled jokers.

For a moment Samson's face was just blank, and "What." was muttered from his mouth. Suddenly appearing closer to Wylan, a excited smile was on his face before speaking sincerely "That's so awsome! I knew he had to be a skilled alchemist or mage, and this is further proof! Oooh, how I would love to learn from god or his son. You have to know all kinds of neat tricks right? Man, you must be really modest about your powers! So glad I wanted you on my team, I would of been screwed otherwise." With that said his hands started shaking in excitement.

Wylan backed up.

Very. Slowly.

"Uhh, okay...I guess I can share some of my...uh...tricks...with...you?" He tried to say what he could say without provoking another reaction from Samson. This guy was weird. And not the good kind of weird either.

He was the kind that did things seemingly at random, and usually violent things at that. He was just as much a monstrous "clown" as Ein, or at least potentially.

Waller immediately admired Heathers resolve to limp back to the infirmary, but it wasn't going to happen like that. Not on his watch anyway; at least some of the adults here had to be helpful. With a single leap, he cleared the distance she made from him, noticing now that his feet were taking on a more digitigrade stance. Normally that hurt enough to notice.

"I'll carry you there", Gerald said, "But there's a way you can help in the meantime. Can you still control plants? If you'll let me, I'll help you straiten out your arm so you can use some of those vines an a branch as a splint."

At this, however, a sensation rather like the feel of an "Evil Eye" settled over the area. It was almost like they were being watched by someone or something that was most definitely foreshadowing of ill things to come.

Wylan shuddered at this, and he hoped Woe didn't try to betray or something.

However, mostly, the "eye" was concentrated on Heather.

Noticing the sensation of an 'evil eye', Samson groans annoyed before trying to locate the source of it just by looking around. Pointing at Walrus as he calls out loudly, annoyance clearly marks Samson's face "Hey! Get someone to check in on this presence, stupid evil crap always happens after this. Probably a powerful demon or some unrepentantly evil nutjob you know!"

Turning back to Wylan, Samson folds his arms behind his head before speaking casually "So what tricks will you be willing to teach me? Something to augment my physical strength would be very useful."

The presence, soon after this, vanished.

Wylan looked this guy over, and decided moments later, "I only know how to put shockwaves into my punches, but there is other stuff I've learned...however, it cannot be taught to someone with no self control."

His father had made him swear not to teach it to anyone, least of all someone with this abysmal self control.

Faking a look of hurt, Samson lowers his head speaking respectfully "Very well, since your father is god these must be too dangerous and complicated for a mere mortal like myself. However, I would be honored if god's son would teach me his shockwave fist." Raising his head to look Wylan in the eye, Samson looked thoughtly before speaking elegantly "Though, while I doubt I could teach you anything useful, I would feel wrong if I didn't offer you something in return. In exchange for teaching me your shockwave punches, is there something I can do?
